Then last month, I brought you an article detailing the “Special Limited Edition” of the upcoming PC / Mac title.

We now have more great news for all you Sims fans out there, as Electronic Arts has just released some new screenshots and a brand new trailer for The Sims Medieval. The upcoming game allows players to build and control a medieval kingdom, create heroes, and venture on many different quests.

According to blondie0617 over at gamershell.com, gamers can choose to play as many different characters in The Sims Medieval, including Knights, Wizards, Kings and Queens. The game provides various storytelling possibilities in the form of quests, and each quest plays out differently depending on which character you are playing.

We now have more news for you, as a “Special Limited Edition” of the game has recently been announced.

According to a recent article by Randy Nelson over at joystiq.com, the new “Special Limited Edition” of The Sims Medieval game – which will be available for the PC and Mac – will features three exclusive themed throne rooms including “Dark Magic,” Princess” and “Barbarian.”

Those who purchase the “Limited Edition” will also receive two brand new outfits with some royal clothes and executioner’s gear. As reported by EA over at businesswire.com, the Monarch set features a royally decked out King and Queen and the Executioner’s set features a leather apron and black hood.

At the moment EA are only planning to bring The Sims: Medieval to PC and Mac by Spring 2011, however I wouldn’t be surprised if it eventually ends up coming to other platforms later on.

In The Sims: Medieval you will be able to play as a king, queen, knight or wizard etc, you will then be able to take part in magical quests and crafting etc.

Other quests will see you search of the fountain of youth, heal the sick, trade goods, protect the kingdom from evil and do pretty much whatever it is that you want to do in medieval times.
