Gamers in the US will have already been running for their lives in the new action adventure game from Telltale, Jurassic Park: The Game as it released over there earlier this week. Meanwhile those in the UK and Europe are yet to receive news of a release date for the game, but that doesn’t stop us from experiencing the first section of gameplay which has been uploaded in a video on the internet.

Telltale Games is the same team that brought us games such as Back to the Future: The Game and they will be hoping for the same reception with their latest film adapted game Jurassic Park: The Game, which despite not yet having an official release date in the UK or Europe, according to Sony ‘it’s coming very soon.’

The video below features almost 15 minutes of gameplay while it takes us through the first three missions in the game. The story of the game picks up from where a section in the first movie left off. The section which it continues from is the part where the overweight computer scientist Dennis Nedry attempts to smuggle dinosaur embryos out of the park before meeting an unpleasant end. While the park’s security systems are down, players must now prevent a rogue corporation from getting hold of these embryos.

According to CVG the game cost $29.99 in the US and the full download of all four episodes is 2.19GB. The Xbox 360 version of the game in Europe was also supposed to be making an appearance soon but is now delayed until 2012 while the PSN Europe version, which is ‘coming very soon’, was expected to launch the same day that the US version was. Check out the video below to get a taste of what we’re missing.

Will you be getting Jurassic Park: The Game?

All those Back to the Future fans out there will most probably be aware of the mini games series that is available to download across all platforms. For those that are not aware the game is split into five episodes, episode one of the series has been available to download on the PS3 since February.

Each of the following episodes are expected a month at a time and the news we have today is of the third episode as it becomes available for download on the iPad. The episode would be also available to the PS3 if it wasn’t for the PSN being down.

It is thought that as soon as the PlayStation Store is back up you can download the latest installment of the series. The third episode, which is set in an alternative 80’s dimension, can be downloaded from iTunes and costs £3.99.

The PSN is due to be back up by the end of the month according to Sony. If you would like to know more about the iPad release of the game check out the article at Joystiq by clicking the link.

What do you think of the series so far?

In the past we have mentioned news about the Jurassic Park game coming from Telltale Games and now we can confirm some more news about the consoles that it will be coming to. Gameinformer tells us that the Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360 are confirmed for the title and so too is the PC and mac.

Although there has been a disruption in the release process which has caused the release to be delayed, Telltale Games have still had time to bring us this news. We are not sure whether the delay was due to the releases for PS3 or Xbox 360, however we should hear more about the new release date later.

For now we can say that the game will be available on four platforms thus giving more gamers a chance to get their hands on it if they so wish to. The game based on the classic film series will be brought to you in downloadable episodes in the same way we have seen Back to the Future episodes hit Xbox Live / PSN.

For more information about the game or release date you should keep checking back for any updates from the developers. Will you be buy Jurassic Park: The Game this fall?

Some of you may have already heard reports about the possibility of an upcoming video game based on the AMC series The Walking Dead, but weren’t sure whether to believe it or not. If that is the case, then we can now tell you that the reports are indeed true.

According to a recent article by Ben Lee over on the digitalspy.co.uk (sourced from All Things Digital) website, developer Telltale Games has just confirmed that it will be producing a video game adaptation of the popular zombie-related television series “The Walking Dead.”

As Tom Goldman at escapistmagazine.com recently reported, the company has just announced that they’ve recently signed a multi-year / multi-platform agreement with the creator of “The Walking Dead” Robert Kirkman, to allow them to develop and publish a series of games.

The multi-platform agreement means that we could well see “The Walking Dead” games coming to the PC, Mac, mobile phones, handheld gaming systems and consoles, such as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Telltale Games expect to release the first game later this year.

We first heard about the upcoming Jurassic Park game back in June last year, when Telltale Games announced that it would be turning two great movie franchises into episodic video games. We now have even more good news, as the developer has just released the first Jurassic Park details and screenshots.

As Matthew Reynolds over at digitalspy.co.uk reported, Kevin Boyle – the executive director – spoke about the upcoming title to Game Informer recently, and stated that the Jurassic Park game will include slow pace character building, investigation segments and more suspense.

There will also be some Heavy Rain-inspired moments within the game, where players have to react to on-screen button demands. Jurassic Park – which is said to take place both during and after the events of the original movie – will also feature an element of choice for open-ended gameplay.

Not only will the game feature returning characters from the movie, but it will also feature smugglers, mercenaries and a nocturnal dinosaur that has glowing eyes. The five-episode video game series will be released later this year, and will be available for the PC and Mac.

You can view the first screenshots of Jurassic Park over on the ripten.com website, which according to Garrett Hartman are courtesy of Game Informer.

The guys behind the new Back to the Future game coming on PC, and most recently announced for the iPad — Telltale Games, have given BTTF fans the chance to get the first episode of the game for FREE. Great Scott!

In the words of Huey Lewis “Don’t need money, don’t need fame. Don’t need no credit card to buy this game,” well almost, he would be right. This is because Telltale are giving BTTF fans a chance to get the first episode free of charge just by clicking a link and registering on their website. If you already have a Telltale account, then all you have to do is sign in and follow the link below.

The news comes just in time for the 25th anniversary of the first Back to the Future film, where Marty had his first heavy adventure taking him back to October 25, 1985.

Telltale Games, the company behind the recently popular ‘Tales of Monkey Island’ franchise are set to release a new BTTF game, and while it was announced back at E3 that the company had signed a partnership with Universal to bring this and Jurassic Park to PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, we have some fresh news that will interest the die-hard Back to the Future fans.

Marty McFly will be in the game, and a likeness of Michael J. Fox will be used to portray him to star alongside Doc Brown who will also voice his own character.

Even though we never got to see a BTTF 4 film make it to Hollywood, Bob Gale who worked on the screenplays for the original films is working with Telltale on a plot for the five planned episodes that are set to include the DeLorean and the setting of Hill Valley in California.

The game is set in the year 1985, and journey’s through time are set to take place leading you to meet other characters that also appeared in the original trilogy.

While this is not much to go on, you’ve got to be happy that Lloyd and Gale are both involved in the games development. At least then we can get a sense of realism and maybe even get a close glimpse of what BTTF 4 could have been.
