TDK Life on Record will launch write-once Blu-ray discs

New 6x write-once Blu-ray discs will be shipped into the European market for the first time by TDK Life on record brand, according to TDK.

TDK Life also said that the write-once Blu-ray discs will transfer data at speeds of 216Mbps which will cut down recording time of around 17 minutes on a full 25GB disc. The discs can playback at any speed and will be able to use with recorders from an array of manufactures

Good news, according to TDK resistant from light, dust and scratches due to the DURABIS2 coating
If you can’t wait to get your hands on these Blu-ray discs then it’s reported that you will pay 49.99 Euros for the 50GB BD-R and 17.99 Euros for the 25GB BD-R, both should be available this Autumn.
