We recently informed you about upcoming televisions made by Emerson and Sharp that are likely to be big sellers during the 2011 holiday sales, but we have a new entry now which may tempt you into a purchase. The infamous Westinghouse television deals are back, and we information on the 46-inch VR-4625 LCD model to tell you about.

If you have bought a Westinghouse TV model during last year’s Black Friday holiday sales, you’ll know that these sets tend to go for half the original price and are always one of the quickest doorbuster products to sell out at selected retailers. You can bet that there will once again be a chance to purchase a Westinghouse model for a good price this year, and one model which you may want to look out for is the VR-4625.

Main specs of this LCD HDTV include full 1080p HD, thanks to a 1920 x 1080 picture resolution. This model weighs 70.5 pounds, has a 60Hz refresh rate, a brightness of 400 cd/m² and a digital TV tuner. You’ll be pleased to hear that there are three HDMI slots on this particular model, as well as a VGA port in case you want to hook up your old PC if it doesn’t have a HDMI port.

A few things to take into consideration before buying:1) It isn’t an LED model, meaning that you are not going to get the best picture quality for your model. 2) The overall reliability of Westinghouse TV models have been called into question on various support boards online, so it may be better you spending just a little bit more for that extra guarantee.

However, if you just want to pick one up as a secondary TV for another room, then go ahead. Good luck trying to get one though, because as we said these models are one of the hottest items you can buy each year. Since the VR-4625 looks to be a brand new model for 2011, there doesn’t appear to be any reviews as of yet unfortunately. It may be a good idea to take a look at a professional review for a different Westinghouse model though, like CNET’s review for the 40-inch VK-40F580D for example.

If you have owned a Westinghouse model in the past or still own one, let us know your thoughts on the overall performance. Is it worth getting excited about or not?

If you haven’t pre-ordered two of the highlights of the gaming calendar this year in Modern Warfare 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, you may be interested in some deals that we have found for both, courtesy of Target and their upcoming November 6-11 sale.

You can bet that online retailers will be offering various incentives for those who don’t have the game, and Target look like one of the first to come with an offer on the table, as reported from GamerTell. We’ve taken a look at the deals and we have to say they are not that amazing in reality, but still an ‘incentive’ nevertheless for you to consider.

They will be selling Skyrim for $59.99 on launch day, but you’ll get a $10 gift card with any version of the game you buy. Sadly though, it doesn’t look like you can use the $10 gift card on Skyrim itself, so you’ll have to spend it on another game, like Modern Warfare 3 for example.

If you buy infinity Ward’s upcoming shooter from Target, you’ll get a $20 discount off the purchase of a 12-month Xbox Live Gold subscription for picking up the Xbox 360 version of the game for $59.99. Again this is a bit disappointing as there doesn’t appear to be any similar offers for the PS3 and PC versions of the game, just Xbox 360 only.

However, if you decide to go all out and purchase a Xbox 360 or PS3 console bundle, you’ll get a $50 gift card for free alongside your purchase. The three bundles in question are the $199 4GB Xbox 360, the $399 320GB Modern Warfare 3 Xbox 360 bundle, or the $249 160GB PS3 bundle.

As we said above these deals are not amazing, so we hope that some better ones come at the last minute before both games go live next week. In case you need one final reminder, MW3 launches on Tuesday Nov 8, while Skyrim will launch on Friday, 11/11/11. Are you getting both or will you just have time to play one? Alternatively, if you have spotted any deals on both games, be sure to share them with us below.

We all know that the Nintendo 3DS has been available since late March, but in a recent overview of Nintendo’s portable system it seems that there are some apparent problems...

We all know that the Nintendo 3DS has been available since late March, but in a recent overview of Nintendo’s portable system it seems that there are some apparent problems which has prompted Amazon to stop shipping the popular handheld console.

We are not exactly sure of the specific reasons behind Amazon’s decision to stop shipping the item, but one might look at some previous complaints that have been reported by early consumers of Nintendo’s portable 3DS gaming system.

According to Examiner, who have publicised Amazon’s disregard of the item for a temporary time, many complains arose that the top-screen was getting scratched by the lower screen as the two rub against each other, leading to marks and scuffs. The only reason for this is that the rubber footings that are housed on the top-screen were too small, which then caused the marks.

Nor Amazon or Nintendo are directly addressing what the issue could be, however Amazon have posted a notice upon visiting the item’s page which reads: -

While this item is available from other marketplace sellers on this page, it is not currently offered by Amazon.com because customers have told us there may be something wrong with our inventory of the item, the way we are shipping it, or the way it’s described here. (Thanks for the tip!)

We’re working to fix the problem as quickly as possible.

In retrospect, this could indeed be the problem that is stopping Amazon from being happy with the item that they are shipping.

In similar news, we are hearing that members of a gaming forum who have recently purchased a Nintendo 3DS say that the top-screen rubbers are no longer too small, and have now been designed longer so that the marking and scratching issue no longer applies. If you have recently purchased a Nintendo 3DS, you can confirm this by leaving a comment in the section below.

As stated, nor Nintendo or Amazon have confirmed or denied that this is actually the reason, but we suspect that it could definitely be a contender. If you still wish to order the Nintendo 3DS via Amazon, you still can but it will not be shipped via Amazon directly, instead you will get it from Target, or another leading store who are in partnership with Amazon.

If we hear any news about the Nintendo 3DS problems, then we will be sure to let you know, but in the mean time we ask you to think twice before ordering from Amazon.

If you own a Nintendo 3DS, please tell us your experiences with it? Have you had any problems?

Back in April we revealed a possible release date for the much-anticipated HTC Sensation, after a HTC sponsored ad appeared on Google with a launch date of June 8th. At the time we were unsure whether this date was correct, and whether it was a European release or for T-Mobile in the US.

Well we now have some good news for those of you that have been waiting to hear more details on the smartphone’s US release, as according to Phil Nickinson over at androidcentral.com, the HTC Sensation 4G is heading to Target Mobile and we have price and release date info for you.

The HTC Sensation 4G – which is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and comes with a large 4.3-inch display, the latest version of HTC Sense, an 8MP rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel camera round the front – will be available for $199 on contract, or $549 if you choose to purchase it outright.

It looks like you can expect to see the HTC Sensation 4G handset hit the shelves at Target on Sunday, June 12th. In the meantime, David over at tmonews.com notes that a recent screen shot appears to have confirmed the June 8th release date, although that is said to be a date for T-Mobile directly.

Will you be picking up the HTC Sensation 4G handset on June 8th? You can view the UK SIM-free price and release for the HTC Sensation via our previous article here.

We told you last month that the new Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablet PC sold out on its first day of being released. It still doesn’t look like that stock levels have improved, with the news that some Asus Eee Pad Transformer pre-orders are being cancelled.

James Cushing from thegadgets.net is reporting that the most popular Android tablet PC so far, is selling out everywhere. Also retailer Target have been emailing customers who have the device on pre-order and cancelling them. In the message they say the product is not currently available from any of their sources,

Currently the device is still showing on the company’s website, but showing out of stock, and also the link to purchase the unit has gone. Asus themselves had previously stated they were suffering from a bottleneck which was causing shortages in production.

Originally they wanted to produce 300,000 units per month, but so far only achieved 10,000 per month due to shortages in components. With the amount of other Android devices on their way to market, and problems ongoing in Japan component shortages are not likely to improve in the short term.

Have you been trying to get hold of an Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablet?

I have to admit, up until now I’d never even heard of an inflatable home theater system, but I now know that they do exist. If you love entertaining and have a big enough garden, then you may like to know about the two separate kits that are available at Target.

The first one I’d like to mention has a screen size of 9 foot wide x 5 foot tall, with a total diagonal measurement of 123 inches. The projector features digital zoom, 4000 hours lamp life, a brightness of 2800 Lumens and a projection distance of 18 feet.

It also features a contrast ratio of 3000:1, a maximum resolution of 1024 x 768, and a 170-degree viewing angle. The second one has a screen size of 16 foot wide x 9 foot tall, a diagonal measurement of 220 inches and is made of smooth Ripstop nylon that’s wrinkle resistant.

The projector can of course be used indoors or outdoors, and features integrated speakers, 4000 hours lamp life, a 3400 Lumens brightness and a projection distance of 32 feet. Both kits come with an air pump to inflate the screen, a carrying case, stakes and straps to secure it.

What do you think of these two great inflatable home theater kits? I’d love one if I had a big enough garden. You can read more about the 16 x 9 one here and the 9 x 5 one here.

As we briefly mentioned a few days ago, Target’s biggest deal on Black Friday is undoubtedly the 40-inch Westinghouse 1080p LCD HDTV which the retailer will be selling for only $298 – meaning that the product has a huge $250 instant discount from the original price of $549.99.

Considering that this is the best deal and the most desired, how do you plan to get one? Well, the first thing you’ll need to do is get an early night’s sleep on Thursday November 25th, as if you don’t get to Target before 4am opening time on Black Friday, the chances of you picking one up are very slim.

Target has already warned in their Ad listing that quantities of this TV are ‘limited’ and you’ll only be able to buy one TV per customer – sorry to burst your bubble if you were planning to get several.

You can bet that some shoppers are preparing to go to Target stores well in advance of the 4am opening time, so you might also want to bear that in mind if you plan to beat the queues.

Are you interested in the 40-inch Westinghouse TV? Let us know what you plan to do to get one.

Over the weekend we wondered what Black Friday 2010 ad scan we would see first out of Target and Walmart first; we can now tell you that it is the latter. We mentioned in a recent post Target’s BF opening times and full list of deals. One of those items in the sale will be the Westinghouse VR-4085DF 40-inch LCD TV.

The current price for this Full HD 1080p TV is $582.99, come Black Friday that price will be just $298 – a saving of almost $300. This TV will not offer you the kind of quality as other TVs in the BF sales this year, like this Sony BRAVIA model, but for the price how can you go wrong?

The Westinghouse VR-4085DF TV has a contrast ratio of just 2000:1 and a refresh rate of 60Hz. Other features include a screen brightness of 400 cd/m2 and two down-firing stereo speakers.

Connectivity is not that bad with 3 HDMI ports, 2 Component Video, 1 PC and 1 Composite Video. For more details visit Target.

We’re not sure if too many of you will be interested in this with the iPhone 5 on the horizon, but retailer Target has just announced that they’ll be carrying Apple’s iPhone 4 handset in a few days time.

As reported from Apple Insider, customers who head down to their nearest Target store on Sunday November 7th may be surprised to see the iPhone 4 available to buy – in black only of course.

Aside from the iPhone 4, you’ll also be able to get the iPhone 3GS – again we don’t know why you’d want to, and Target employees will also help you to activate your handset immediately after purchase.

We haven’t heard of any bonus incentives for buying from Target yet, but hopefully they will offer customers something in return for the iPhone 4 which is likely to be proceeded by the iPhone 5 next Summer.

Are you planning to buy from Target?
