The first of the two limited edition models is still in the planning stage and so there have only been a few renders, and this is for the Jon Olsson Lamborghini Aventador. Many of you will already know that the Gallardo had already seen this treatment, so it’s time to see what the latest Raging Bull will look like with the signature ski box and camouflage finish.

If we do see a version of this car then it shouldn’t be long before it makes an appearance, as Olsson may want to show it off before he begins the Gumball 3000 rally in May, although he will be also showing off his Rebellion R1K Ultima as well.

The second Special Edition Lamborghini Aventador is the one from RENM Performance, and it’s easy to see this will not be just a paint job and a fancy ski box. This German tuning company has breathed their magic to make this one truly special aftermarket custom job.

Some of the features include a Inconel/titanium exhaust with both road/race spec, revamped ECU and an improved air intake to give the Aventador between 7 to 10 percent more power. Because these custom jobs are all done by hand the performance of each one will vary a little, but if you are looking for more power then you can also change to a higher-grade fuel as well.

Because of the extra power RENM has had to lower the suspension and make a few revisions to the aerodynamics, which means that you will have a better performing car that will still stick to the road like glue – well as long as you don’t try to push it too much.

We currently have no figures on how much faster this version will be but it could be around 383km/h going on a 10 percent increase. However, we have to remember that a 10 percent increase in power will not make it go that much faster, as the air is much thicker at that speed and requires a huge performance increase just to gain an extra 15km/h.

Just for the record we are not talking your average Honda, Toyota, BMW or Ford. Making vintage car status requires a car with that certain something. Choosing a model from today will be tough, just like it was years ago; did you know that industry experts thought that the E-Type Jag would not mount to much – now look at it?

The first model that we believe has the makings of a fine vintage car has to be the Audi R8 Spyder. Now you only have to look at those lines to know just what we mean. There are not many production cars that shout at you and say come and buy me, but this model does and for good reason. However, you do have to pay the price for it, as it is expected to be in the region of $200,000.

A true petrol head would have owned an Alfa Romeo at one stage in their life, if not then you cannot call yourself one. Fans of the brand will be pleased to know that we believe that the Alfa Romeo 8C Spider has what it takes to make it into the future vintage list. You can see from the design that this was well thought out, there just seems to be a little inspiration from cars back in the day when the driver used to sit almost to the rear of the car – much like the E-Type in that respect.

You cannot have a vintage car list without having a Ferrari in there – much as it pains me – as I am a F1 McLaren fan. Now the Prancing Horse has had many fine cars over the years, but most of them seem to lack that magic that they once had. However, the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano has it in bundles; it does not matter what angle you look at it, the car just looks beautiful. Pininfarina Studios has done a fine job, so nice to see that they finally found their form once again.

The final car that we think could become a true vintage is the original McLaren F1 from 1992. This was the first true supercar that smashed the 200mph barrier and kept going until it hit 243MPH. Now we know that it is not all about speed, but ask most people what their favorite supercar is, and we bet you that the McLaren F1 would be high up on that list?

Well these are what we believe will become future vintage cars, but what else should be on this list?

Now I have never been a fan of the two-wheel variety, as I prefer comfort, how horrible is it to go on a long journey and then it rains? When you are in a car you have no such issue, although the former comes into its own when you hit a huge amount of traffic. We have no doubt that these arguments will not take place in this summer auto event, as those who attend will be more interested in the machines that are on show.

How often can you say that you will see a Vespa standing right next to a Ferrari at an auto show? This is where the Petersen Automotive Museum comes into its own, as they do not always stick to traditional. There will be a guest of honor at the event, and that is Steve Saleen, who is not only an American businessman, but also a former racing driver.

Fans will want to learn how Saleen went from racing to manufacturing tuned vehicles. One session that you will want to keep an eye out for has to be Griot’s Garage, as they will give you a chance to polish your vehicle with their products. However, we are not sure how many people will turn up to the event with their pride and joy without waxing or polishing it.

We have to wonder how these two very different vehicles can be pitted against each other? One is built and manufactured for fun and to get around the city easy. The other is built to test the limits of current automobile technology. How many scooters can you say pushes the boundaries when it comes to design, handling and that all-important top speed?

However, it is not all about how powerful the engine is, that is only part of it – so does the new ST1 have what it takes? Now the one thing that has been sticking in my mind is how this new version is $575,000 more than the current ST1. Cannot see that you are paying all that extra cash just for the sake of a Zenvo Aspen watch, which will be given to you with your supercar purchase.

The Zenvo ST1 50S is a special edition model for the U.S. market only, and we all know how they love that loud grunt from the engine. Speaking of the engine, what you get is a 7.0-liter V8, which has twin turbochargers mounted to it. The roar will be loud, but let us hope that it will be a whimper if the Veyron manages to fly right by.

The price of the Zenvo ST1 50S is expected to be $1.8 million, which seem very cheap when compared to $2.4 million for the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. According to World Car Fans the top speed of the new ST1 is 375kph, which is 233mph, which is 20mph slower than the SS.

This will be a lightweight droptop, which you can see some spy shots on Autoblog. Looking at some of the photos you can clearly see that Audi has gone for a more aggressive stance for when it comes to driving in the open air. Forgive me for this, but I hate soft-top convertibles, when they are up they seem to look a little ugly – then that all changes when the roof is lowered.

Audi is to fit the 5.2-liter V10 powerplant in the R8 GT Spyder, this is the same engine used in the V8 R8 Coupe. What you will get is 560HP of pure power propelling it to 60mph in just 3.8 seconds, and reaching a top speed of 193mph. We cannot say for certain how well it will perform around corners compared to the coupe version, as we know that doing away with the roof makes a car flex a little more.

Audi will not doubt find a solution to making the chassis a little stiffer, but one would assume that this would come at a cost – weight. Having said that, Audi is expected to use a number of materials to reduce weight in other areas, such as the windscreen, engine cover and the rear wing.

The good thing is, to get all that extra power you do not need to pay any extra money for an engine upgrade or other modifications, just fill the fuel tank up with E85 bio-ethanol instead of 95-octane gasoline. Who would have thought that going for a fuel that is more fuel-efficient will give you a power increase of 175hp.

So let us take a look at a few of the main specs of the new Agera R and see how it compares to the Super Sport. Firstly and most importantly is the engine, the Koenigsegg has a 5-liter V8 with twin turbos, The Veryon has a 8-litre W12 16 cylinder engine with a quad turbo system – seems like Bugatti wins that round then.

0 to 60 mph for the Agera R is just 2.9 seconds, the Veyron does it in 2.5 seconds. The top seed of the SS Veyron is 267.856 mph, the Agera R is said to hit over 242mph – although we have no official figures just yet. So looking at things it looks as though the Bugatti Veyron SS, has all things covered, but you certainly pay the price for it. Yes the Koenigsegg Agera R will also come with a hefty price tag, but not as much as the Bugatti.

Auto Express has a render of what they believe the 2014 Veyron will look like, and you can clearly see that the basic shape has been kept. When you have a car that has been designed to go over 250mph, you know that you are almost at the limits with aerodynamics – well for road going cars anyway.

The former head of Bentley and Bugatti has been telling Auto Express that the next Veyron Supercar will be an evolution of the 1999 design; so we can expect to see some subtle changes here and there. However, it is the technology of the materials that will change the most.

Along with a much lighter frame you can expect to see the same 8.0-liter W16 engine with its quad-turbo system, but this power will then be channeled through a newly revised seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Add all this together and you will have a $1.6 million car that will hit 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds and achieve a top speed of 270mph, which is just faster than the 2011 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.

If you are looking for something just a little different, then there is also a 2014 Bugatti Royale planned. The rumors of such a car has certainly intensified over the past few weeks, but ConsumerGuide Automotive warns that this is all you speculation at the moment, and uncertain if it will ever make it out of the concept stage.

Autoblog explains how CEC has still managed to get another 10hp out of that already powerful 4.8-liter V10, which is the same as the Nurburgring Edition. We knew that the price of that model was going to be $445,000 to $465,000, but Drew Phillips from Autoblog believes that the CEC version will have an even higher price tag.

There are those of you out there who wonders why they just do not put an engine in that will create more than 10 extra horsepower, but you have to remember that doing that can change all the characteristics of how the car handles. Lexus and Toyota would have spent millions on R&D, so they have done all they can to get the LFA to handle and perform as it does.

Bugatti had this same issue with the Veyron when developing the SS version, as they knew if they wanted to increase the top speed by just 10mph, then they need to put an even bigger engine in. We are not talking about 10 or even 50 extra horsepower here, as the faster you go the harder it is to push through the air at speed. So a much larger engine is needed, and that will not work with a car like the LFA, as it will give it a negative result on the racetrack, which is what the car is designed for.

CEC has been a fan of the Lexus LFA since it was launched in 2010, so much so that the boss of the company was caught speeding in one. He was doing 91mph in a 35mph zone, which you can see for yourself in the video that we have embedded for you below.

You have to love how Autoblog’s Jeremy Korzeniewski describes the front-end of the Huayra, by saying that it is like a “bottom-feeder”, and we do have to agree there – not that it’s a bad thing. It is some of the other design features that help to take some of the attention away from the front, such as the numerous slates and the gullwing doors, which have also been put to good use on the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.

Some of you will think that all those little aero tweaks make the vehicle look awesome, but they also help to keep the car planted to the road when traveling fast or taking those corners. When we say fast, we mean fast – 230mph to be exact.

The power comes from a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine, which has been produced by Mercedes-Benz AMG. I can remember getting excited when I got my first five-speed transmission, so imagine how I would feel if I had a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox like the Pagani Huayra will have?

Jamie Corstorphine from InsideLine has been at a recent promo video shoot for the new supercar, and notes that this is “more than just an evolution of the Zonda”, and we would have to agree. We have no official price yet, but Corstorphine believes that it will be around the $1.4 million mark.

Autoblog has learned from Al Volante that the name Huayra means wind in a number of cultures in South America. This tells me that the new vehicle will be able to produce a huge amount of power, as rumors of a V12 engine will certainly be more than up to the job of taking the car of 200mph.

For some time now we have only known the new Pagani as C9, so this is the first time that a specific name has been mentioned – lets us remember that this is all speculation at this moment. We are not certain how many horsepower the engine will produce, but we can be certain that it will have more to offer than the Zonda.

Motor Authority has been able to obtain a few spy shots, but do not expect the Huayra to make an appearance at the Detroit Auto Show this month. However, you can expect to see the vehicle on show at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. View the teaser video below; if you can understand the meaning behind it then please let us know. Let us get one thing straight, although this will be a great car it will never be a Bugatti Veyron.
