The level editor promises to provide fans with tools to create new level designs.

As Ryan Blanchard over at gamerant.com recently noted, although the obvious use of the new level editor is to create single levels that players can share with the world using the Super Meat World, there are in fact more ways to use these updated Super Meat Boy features.

While making use of Super Meat World, players will also be given the opportunity to rate levels that have been created by other gamers. What’s more exciting however is the fact that the level editor will also enable players to create whole chapters rather than just singular levels.

Once players have created a healthy amount of infuriatingly difficult levels, they will then be able to link them all together to create entire chapters for other side-scrolling fans to enjoy. The Super Meat Boy game is currently available for PC and Xbox 360, with a Mac release coming at a later date.
