With less than three weeks between now and the Super Bowl, Sprint has put into action some enhancements to its 3G network in Indianapolis, this will help the network cope with the huge demand which 150,000 football fans will bring to the relatively small area in early February.

Sprint used Twitter to announce what measures its engineers have put in place, the tweet took you to the Sprint Newsroom and you can see a fully detailed press release for yourself here, in our article will tell you what Sprint users in Indianapolis should expect thanks to what has been implemented.

The press release states that the network is ready to deliver solid voice and data coverage during Super Bowl XLVI, apparently they have activated five COWs (Cells on Wheels) in Indianapolis, one of which is located at the University of Indianapolis NFC practice facility, another two are situated outside the Lucas Oil Stadium and the other two can be found in the Super Bowl Village. Lots of other improvements have also been made such as network capacity upgrades, iDEN site launches along with additional CDMA sites going live.

All these changes may sound complicated, but basically they all come together to ensure that if your using a Sprint device in Indianapolis during the Super Bowl weekend you should be able to make calls, send and receive text messages, access websites, use data-intensive apps and send and receive photos without running into problems. It’s nice to see a bit of forward thinking from Sprint, however we won’t know just how successful things will be until Sunday, 5 February 2012.

If you are a Sprint customer planning to travel to Indianapolis you should now be able to rest-assured knowing that your devices should be fully functional during this year’s Super Bowl, are you in Indianapolis right now? If so, have you noticed better Sprint 3G coverage?

With the Super Bowl XLV just around the corner, just how prepared are you for one of the most watched sporting events in the world? In fact, last year’s Super Bowl XLIV, was the most watched U.S TV program in history, with an average audience of viewers reaching 106.5 million.

They’re also offering a Samsung Blu-ray player with Wi-Fi free with some of their other Samsung TVs.

The 2011 Super Bowl XLV is just under two weeks away now, and for those who would like to keep track of how long they have to wait for the big game, then this date and time countdown app from the host committee will be a great addition to your iPhone. Just to let you know, the app is free.

This application is more than just a countdown to the 2011 Super Bowl, as it also provides information on the Cowboys Stadium. That’s not all; there is also many more features, such as trivia, maps, news, events and even a way to update your Facebook status.

When downloading the Official Super Bowl App you should consider another couple to accompanying it. Two that we would recommend are ‘Super Bowl Facts’ and ‘Super Bowl Trivia’. The first app cost $0.99 and is a one-stop place for all those facts that you might have not known about the big sporting event.

The second app also costs just $0.99 and will test your knowledge of the game; you will be asked a number of questions on the first 20 Super Bowls. The idea is to answer as fast as possible to earn more points. What other apps have you downloaded in anticipation of big event of the year?

For the last 23 years Pepsi have always featured in the Super Bowl ads, however this year they have chosen not to pay millions of dollars for a 30 second slot.

Instead they are launching an “online social-networking campaign”, this will apparently allow customers two interact with the soft-drink giant.

It is thought that this campaign will deeply involve social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, other Super Bowl advertisers are also said to be incorporating social networking into this years ads.

Recently Budweiser set up a poll on their Facebook page, this poll allowed people to vote for which commercial Budweiser will show during the Super Bowl.

To be honest I do think times are changing, therefore spending $3 million on a 30-second advertising slot isn’t as valuable as it once was, having thousands of followers on Twitter is a great way of companies getting their latest products and deals etc known to a large market.

It’s Super Bowl XLIV today, and before the kickoff time we thought an update on some Super Bowl 2010 ads was in order. One computer brand will be returning to being an individual Super Bowl sponsor for the first time in over 12 years.

Intel is going to use the 2010 Super Bowl to help promote it’s all new Intel Core’ processor family. They will also be using the post-game show on CBS to debut another Intel commercial, which is rumored to cost Intel millions.

The commercials will promote Intel’s 2010 Core Processor family with a sense of geek humor, and will show how this new hardware delivers the best performance and integration for desktops, laptops, and embedded devices.

Super Bowl XLIV has a start time of 3:25pm (PST) today, and the CBS 30-second Intel commercial is titled ‘Lunchroom’. You can read more about the details of this commercial on itbusinessnet.com.

Have you seen Motorola’s Super Bowl 2010 Ads? They have been teasing us with a little look at the Motorola Devour, which included a young boy fixated on a Motorola Devour stood on a table in front of him.

You can see the Motorola advertisement here on the official website, it starts with the boy looking at a Motorola Devour, then something explodes inside a microwave oven in the background. The next scene shows a couple sitting at a table, looking very unhappy, which quickly changes to a scene showing a truck crashing into a booth.

What do all these scenes have in common? Well we see a phone in the first scene, and someone running away holding a phone when the truck crashes. The last scene says, “To be continued at the Super Bowl”. We’re sure more will unfold in the Motorola ads that will be shown during Super Bowl XLIV.

Let us know what you think of the teaser, the Super Bowl 2010 ads once they are shown, and the Motorola Devour.

Do you like to watch the Super Bowl commercials? In 2010 the ads will be tracked online by USA Today, just like they did in 2009. USA Today’s Ad Meter will track ads during Super Bowl XLIV, and how a panel of viewers responds to those ads.

The Super Bowl ads are then ranked from best to worst, and you can view the results online thanks to USA Today’s Ad Meter. This lets you watch the responses from the panel, and lets you rate the ads yourself.

2010 will see a few changes with USA Today’s Ad Meter; one of the best is the real-time ratings during Super Bowl XLIV. Last year the results were shown on the Monday following the game, so this is great improvement. The panel responses will be shown second-by-second.
