Big news in the world of the tablet PC, 4G tablets are being announced for 2011. Previously we spoke to you about Sprint’s confirmed announcement that a 4G capable tablet would be making its way on to their carrier network. Now they are being joined, T-Mobile has only gone and done the same thing! Below is a picture of the first T-mobile netbook which has made it’s way to their “4G” network.

T-Mobile say in their press release that Dell’s Inspiron Mini 10 4G is the first netbook that is able to access their new T-Mobile 4G mobile broadband, they have also at the end of their press release they also link to their website to see the 4G plastered in a large ads.

Something that a lot of people seem to be missing is that whilst T-Mobile seems to be throwing the term “4G” around without explaining that technically it isn’t in fact 4G is beyond me. Right now the closest thing to 4G is LTE and WiMAX which delivers around 10Mbps of downlink.

You do have to wonder when the big firms like Verizon and AT&T will actually pull them up on their slightly misleading ads seeing as they normally attack each other from all angles. If you missed the press release then don’t worry, you can view it on T-Mobile’s official site by clicking here. You can view their ad from their official YouTube channel at the bottom of this article. It’s all a little too ambiguous for me. It looks like Chris Ziegler has a similar opinion to me from Engadget.com.

What do you think of the way T-Mobile are describing this as a 4G network? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

We have some fantastic news for those of you planning to pick up the HTC EVO 4G handset on Sprint, as the carrier has just issued a fresh press release, informing us of a new lengthy cities of cities that will be included in the 4G network rollout.

As reported from Phandroid, Sprint are clearly working hard to ensure that as many cities are 4G equipped before the release of America’s first 4G-enabled handset this Summer.

New cities added to the growing list include Kansas City, Orlando, Tampa, Nashville, St.Louis, Salt Lake City, Eugene and much much more.

Don’t forget that these new cities are adding to the current cities already 4G-enabled, so it looks like plenty of you will be able to benefit from Sprint’s HTC EVO straight from release. As for the release of the handset itself, you can check out an earlier article with fresh details here.

Let us know your thoughts on the updated rollout. Is your city not on the list?

We have some great news for customers on Sprint’s network now, as the company has just announced that they are to expand their new 4G network with as many as 7 new markets.

As reported from MobileBurn, Sprint are planning to make the changes this year – all part of their ongoing plans with their 4G WiMax network.

The expansion will happen coast-to-coast between Los Angeles to Miami. Sprint has highlighted a few cities that will benefit from this. They include Cleveland, Los Angeles, Miami, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and many more.

Combine this with existing plans to offer 4G in New York and Washington, then it looks like Sprint are becoming a force to reckon with. Who says the ball is firmly in Verizon’s court?

Let us know your thoughts on this.
