The latest apps can bring you much more this year with live scores, video streams, highlights, and interviews to keep you connected almost anywhere.

You’ll find The Masters Golf Tournament app here on iTunes and it’s tagged “the official iPhone app“, which includes some of the best PGA coverage we’ve seen in an app although expected considering it’s “official“. You’ll get special analysis during practice range, in-depth live Masters highlights while CBS and ESPN broadcast, 7 live video streams although it’s worth noting these are only available to U.S. users, and a nice interactive leaderboard for The 2012 Masters Golf Tournament.

Within the last couple of weeks the app has been updated to v4.0, which includes a new “Getting There” section that helps you find the Augusta National Golf Club with an interactive map, expanded photo galleries, and some design improvements.

While having a play one feature that we enjoyed while watching the action had been a course overview feature, which allowed us to get detailed information on the hole currently being played. This included yardage, what par the hole is, flyover videos, and other information on the 18 holes at this years 2012 Masters Golf Tournament.

This new content deal sees City having full control of their club-created video or other rights-owned content.

The icing on the cake with this deal is how the football (soccer for American’s) club is able to also manage the advertising on the content shown on YouTube. We find it hard to believe that City is the first to do such a thing, but we cannot see it being too long before others will follow – maybe rivals Manchester United will be next?

Officials for Man City have said that the club has had a fantastic year of growth, and this is just the next step for increasing growth and giving the fans more. Well, those fans already get some great content, but now they will soon have to put up with advertising on the videos that get shown on YouTube – which is not a huge problem.

The Drum has learned that this is the first step in a long line of deals that will take the football club onto another level when it comes to their online activities. What makes this deal even more special, is the way that it will allow the team to grow globally, as YouTube will give them a much greater reach. We would expect their fan base to grow at an alarming rate – something that other Premier League Club teams will not want to miss out on.

Earlier this week we posted some news that David Haye had launched a new game for iPhone owners, which is called “David Haye’s Knockout”. The app let Apple device owners get dirty with hand-to-face combat as David Haye himself. The launch was at the Hayemaker gym, and the world press were extremely interested thanks to the lead up to today’s showdown with the larger Wladimir Klitschko.

David Haye is well known for trying to intimidate his opponents and this recently included social site Twitter. Haye has been fully focused on Klitschko, studying him so he knows everything he can about his opponent. UPDATE: After 12 rounds Wladimir Klitschko won the fight on points, David Haye had the potential to win but could not get close enough to Klitschko. In the end both fighters felt respect for each other after both proving they can take hits and give them.

First let us take a look at the Twitter page @commonwealthdel, which is the official page for the XIX Commonwealth Games. Currently there are 5,962 – not exactly the amount that followed the 2008 Olympic Games.

The mobile application has been developed by Zoomi and offers a host of features, such as news, videos, photos, standings and much more. We know that not many people have been turning up to watch the games live, so this app looks set to be a very popular way to stay up-to-date with all what is going in from the Commonwealth Games.

The iOS application works on the iPad, iPod touch, and iPhone but users will need iOS 3.0 or higher.

You will get College Football scores; live play-by-play action, social features that include Facebook integration, easy category navigation, and the ability to personalize the college football app.

The app was recently updated – Aug 29, 2010 – and has now reached version 0.211, although this update was mainly to fix known bugs. If you are after live news and scores without advertisements, then you will be disappointed.

Some users are complaining about having to watch a commercial every time they open the application, most find the app delivers but demand the opening advertisement must go.

If you’re a mobile phone user you may want a dose of UFC while on the move, especially results round-by-round.

We thought we would post a few options that currently exist for readers on mobile devices. First up would be the Ultimate Fighting Championship app that can be found via the Apple iTunes store, although this may not be as informative as some of the popular MMA news websites.

Sherdog always publish a good play-by-play, and UFC 118 is no different but what if you’re on a mobile device? The UFC 118 results can be found on their site here, but mobile users can visit sherdog.com/wap and get the full recap, watch video interviews, and a lot more.

Personally we feel it’s time Sherdog launched a dedicated iPhone / iPod touch / iPad app, would you like to see the popular MMA site release an app with better features?

MMA Junkie is another popular site that has also listed the full UFC 118 results, and these guys have an iOS and BlackBerry app. While it could do with a lot more features, we have found it one of the best options from MMA news sites.
