Once upon a time a cell phone was used just for making calls, but that would not cut it in our ever demanding world of gadgets. When people choose a cell phone these days they want it with all the latest features, and the top gadgets has to be the built-in camera. Many phones on the market have at least a 2 or 3 megapixel camera; some might even stretch to a 5 megapixel. Well now the Sony Ericsson C905 Cyber-shot, takes it one step further by introducing an 8 megapixel camera.

The camera on this phone is truly amazing, it even comes with face detection, geo-tagging, smart contrast as well as Xenon and photo flash. The specs on the Sony Ericsson C905 Cyber-shot will put many compact cameras to shame, and you have to ask if these new phones with improved camera technology will make the digital compact camera extinct?

Ok so what else does the C905 have to offer? Well firstly the phone has a 2.4 inch QVGA TFT display, this has a scratch resistant mineral glass cover and viewfinder, perfect for the life that we live today. The guys over at Phones Review, also tell at the the handsets also comes with an accelerometer bringing full screen rotation, GPS, and guess what, it also has WiFi. Having all of these features does come at a price to the Sony Ericsson C905 Cyber-shot, the cell phone is a little on the thick side at 18mm, but come on look at the camera you are getting.

I have never been a fan of the Sony Ericsson’s, but having an 8MP camera in one might be enough to change my mind along with thousands of others.
