According to a recent joystiq.com article by JC Fletcher, PlayStation 3 owners in the US will have the opportunity to purchase a limited edition of the upcoming Sniper: Ghost Warrior game. The special ‘One Shot – One Kill’ Limited Edition will be available exclusively to GameStop for $49.99.

The Sniper: Ghost Warrior limited edition will come with the ‘One Shot – One Kill’ DLC and a copy of the game among other things. The One Shot – One Kill DLC provides players with ten second intervals during single player mode in which they can unleash a number of super-sniper powers.

For example, for 10 second intervals at various stages throughout the game, players will be able to experience super steady shots, achieve pinpoint accuracy, inflict intense damage on their enemies and shoot through almost every object in the game including solid cover and houses.

The ‘One Shot – One Kill’ Limited Edition also comes with an official Sniper: Ghost Warrior dog tag, an exclusive Sniper Stories book, a Sniper: Ghost Warrior poster and limited edition Sniper: Ghost Warrior production art postcards. Are you tempted by this limited edition at all?

The next installment in the Sniper Ghost Warrior series uses an engine developed by Crytek which is aptly named CryEngine 3, this engine was used to make Crysis 2, therefore we know that it is more than capable of delivering the goods for City Interactive.

According to WorthPlaying.com City Interactive has stated that the next game will take Sniper: Ghost Warrior to “new and exciting heights”, other comments suggest that it will be more challenging than the last game and the graphics will apparently be stunning.

Hopefully at E3 2011 we will get to see the game in action, find out details regarding the platforms it will be coming to and an idea of its release date, when we hear more we will keep you posted.

According to Josh Garibay over on the justpushstart.com website, the PS3 trophy list has a number of differences compared to the list of achievements on the Xbox 360. However, the list does contain the usual platinum trophy, which players only achieve once they’ve unlocked all the other trophies.

There are of course a number of bronze trophies to unlock, including Flying Knives, which requires players to kill a total of 10 enemies with throwing knives and No Alarm, which players can achieve if they finish the ‘Under cover of night’ mission without the guards raising the alarm.

In the meantime, the silver trophies include Captain, which requires gamers to finish the game on the normal difficulty, Close Range, where players are required to kill 250 people with the pistol on multiplayer and Sharpshooter, which you unlocks by killing 500 people using a sniper rifle on multiplayer.

To unlock the gold General trophy, players must complete the game in the hard difficulty. Other gold trophies include Seeker (collect all the secrets), Supplier of Death (kill 2000 enemies on multiplayer) and Laurel Wreath (win 50 rounds on online multiplayer).

According to Richard Subia at justpushstart.com, the PS3 version of the Sniper: Ghost Warrior game is due to arrive on June 28th. The release date isn’t the only good news for PlayStation 3 owners either, as it appears that they’ll be receiving a few exclusive goodies with the upcoming release as well.

For a start they will be getting fully upgraded graphics and gameplay, as well as single player missions that are exclusive to the PS3 version. They will also be receiving bonus multiplayer maps and exclusive multiplayer modes such as a Hard Core difficulty mode and Capture the Flag.

That’s not all either, as they will also get a bonus single player challenge that includes an additional mission with Hard Core mode and exclusive new sniper rifles including the M200 Intervention and the L96. Have you been waiting to hear about the PlayStation 3 version of Sniper: Ghost Warrior?

These rebels are apparently taking over a fictional nation called Isla Trueno, I’m guessing the game will involve you sniping some important figures which will assist the rebels take over attempts.

Further details are still unknown, however it looks as if the games developers are aiming to launch the game in Q2 2010, there is no talk of a PS3 version of the game, therefore it looks like it will only be released on the Xbox 360 and PC.
