No one can deny that Chrono Trigger has to be one of the best classic RPGs of its time; it now looks as though it is now ready for a comeback. There were a number of rumors stating that the game was coming back, well there is now a countdown clock that is synced up to actual Japan time on the official Square Enix website, this means that the rumors of a Chrono Trigger comeback are true.

We are not sure if it is a remake with new features or just a port to the Nintendo DS, many games have gone down the port route, like Final Fantasy in 3D Front Mission and Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced. As yet it only looks as though Japan will be getting Chrono Trigger for Nintendo DS, as yet there is no news as to if or when the U.S. will get the game.

At the moment there is nothing more to go on, just that strange page with the clock on it, but hopefully within a few days we will have a little more information for you.

Chrono Trigger is a console RPG that had been developed and published by Square and was originally on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The game was released on March 11 1195 in Japan and on August 22, 1995 in the U.S. The story of the games was about a group of group of young adventurers, they had to travel through time so that they could prevent a global catastrophe from happening.

When Chrono Trigger was first released it was described by Nintendo Power magazine as revolutionary, not sure if it would be like that today.
