On the day that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 arrived Alan Ng told you all about one of the game’s biggest secrets, the hidden Mother of All Bombs killstreak reward. Chances are you have been on the receiving end of this by now, but imagine getting 25 unanswered kills in just 62 seconds – well one gamer has.

The clock starts when he kills his first enemy, after this UhTeNsHun (YouTube channel here) goes on a rampage and gets 25 kills in little over a minute. He is played Domination on Dome and at no point does he camp, obviously there’s slight signs of spawn trapping due to the game mode, but no-matter how you look at it, it is an incredible achievement.

To get these kills he uses the PP90M1 submachine gun whilst using a class which consists off Sleight of Hand, Quickdraw and Steady Aim, he also utilizes the Specialist Strike Package rather than Assault or Support Strikes. The Specialist Strike configuration he went for is Scavenger Pro (2 Point Streak), Blast Shield (4 Point Streak) and Dead Silence (6 Point Streak).

You can see the video for yourself at the end of this post, it was uploaded to YouTube over a month ago and somehow managed to slip under our radar, after watching the video you will see that he rides his luck a few times and he certainly makes the most of Steady Aim perk to assist his hipfire accuracy.

There are some questions regarding whether it was actually him that achieved such as fast M.O.A.B, but that really isn’t all that important – what’s important is whether you can point us in the direction of someone who has earned this killstreak reward faster – if so let us know in the comments section below and if you have a video be sure to link us to it.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been available in stores for a month now and as with every year it has been enjoying a lot of success, smashing sales records. With the release of this year’s game out of the way, co-developer Sledgehammer Games has allegedly already begun recruiting for the next title in the popular series which is thought to be Modern Warfare 4.

The news comes after an advertisement belonging to the team for a senior online engineer was spotted which read ‘We are actively looking for top talent for our Call of Duty development team.’ from the advert we learn that Sledgehammer are specifically after a candidate who will work on the development of their online community features and multiplayer modes. The full job description and requirements can be found at Gamasutra.

Sledgehammer was reportedly working on a third-person Call of Duty project before they were assigned to help develop MW3, so the news could suggest they may be going back to that project although Glen Schofield, the team’s general manager says that project is most likely dead in the water. Since working with Infinity Ward, he said the team has grown and will be working alone on this next project, a situation he believes best suits Activision.

Before working on the project Sledgehammer was underdeveloped and needed to learn a new engine, now that they have they can hire and develop on their own. Despite the recruiting advert, Schofield says whether or not their new project is ‘a Call of Duty game or not is up in the air’, but he plans to carry on working on the series. Are you glad to see Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward working individually to each other to develop Call of Duty games? What do you think Sledgehammer’s new project will be?

If you have been playing MW3 on Xbox Live you have probably seen some gamers with weird characters in their clan tags, many of you thought that this was the result of a hacked lobby, but it’s not, in fact it is much easier to do than you probably ever thought. Today we will show you how to have Xbox 360 controller buttons in your clan tag – but we must warn you that this may be considered as hacking, so do it at your own risk!

It is really quite simple, to cut a long story short if you use certain pairs of characters in your clan tag it will show up as one of the buttons. If you scroll down to the bottom of this post you can see a video showing you how to do it.

There are 17 different buttons which you can show, perhaps the most popular are the A, B, X and Y buttons. Below we have embedded an image showing you what needs to be entered for each one.

I have not done this myself, but if you look carefully at the video below it doesn’t take long to do. The main thing to remember is that the first time you enter the characters it won’t work, but once you go back in to edit your clan tag you will see a weird box character, exit again and the corresponding button should show up in your clan tag. What is also quite neat about it is that it also works for naming your classes.

Like many glitches this is pretty pointless, in fact I really hope Infinity Ward patch the game so that this no-longer works as it just looks messy in the lobby in my opinion, do you agree?

What neat words have you managed to come up with? My person Favorite is a capital ‘F’, the ‘A’ button and the Right Trigger button, it’s the simple things in life that please me….

Since its release I have playing Modern Warfare 3 for a few hours each night on my Xbox 360, therefore I thought I would share my feelings towards the game’s multiplayer elements and ultimately sum up whether or not I am impressed with the game. I will also highlight some of the things which I feel need to change – so here goes….

The first thing that I noticed about the game is the much better layout for the Create-a-Class system and how the Prestige Shop further enhanced the multiplayer experience, also upon starting my first game I was impressed by the game’s visuals where the attention to detail was obvious and the great frame rate (360 version) makes this in my opinion the best-looking CoD to date, that said if you look closely at some surfaces the textures aren’t great . In terms of sounds it is clear that a lot of the sound effects have been “borrowed” from MW2, but that’s not entirely a bad thing, however when playing Search & Destroy I do sometimes feel footsteps are hard to hear. The music when waiting in the lobby isn’t too monotonous and I really like the music which kicks in upon starting a game of Kill Confirmed etc.

In terms of gameplay you can see why some people are dubbing this game the MW2 expansion pack, there really isn’t a great deal of difference between the two titles, what strikes me the most is the super-fast pace of games – which in my opinion needs to be toned down a little. Some things in MW3 are improved, such as Flash Bang effectiveness and map layout, in fact the maps in MW3 seem far more diverse than Black Ops and MW2 thanks to multi-story buildings and less predictable layouts.

One weakness in my opinion is the general map size, there are a couple of mid-to-large maps, but nothing which can be considered huge – do you agree? Small maps mixed with enemies which seem to run faster than Usain Bolt often results in very hectic games with no real tactical gameplay. This has a direct effect on something which has frustrated CoD gamers for years, Spawn Killing, the map size results in it becoming very hard for MW3 to spawn you somewhere away from the enemy. Perhaps a patch will improve things slightly, but it would in my opinion be great if DLC brought a large map pack to MW3.

My personal pet hate about MW3 and MW2 is the way they promote noob tubers. I like to play Domination, but often you are up against a team who constantly fire RPGs etc in the direction of the the A,B and C zones and almost guarantee that they will take out one or two enemies per shot. The same people run and jump round corners firing their rockets blindly – there is no skill to this and certainly no realism.

You can’t question the game’s matchmaking and stability, when me and 5 friends join a party and then search for a game it doesn’t take long to find one and if someone does leave a game early a new host is usually found quickly without too much disruption. A few games have “lagged out” for me, but you have to remember just how much is going on the background to enable a multiplayer game to go ahead – therefore despite it being frustrating at the time it if often nothing which could have been avoided.

All in all I enjoy MW3, it is not at all realistic in terms of gameplay in my opinion, but it doesn’t need to be. Let’s face it, often real-world events are boring and anticlimactic (have you ever seen the film Jarhead?) and who wants to play that out? If your playing CoD for 30 minutes you want to get knee deep in action and not have to apply real-world military tactics – that said it would be nice if there was sometimes more of an onus on team work. In regards to teamwork the new support strike system is great, especially the vests, also if you play Kill Confirmed properly with a good friend as your wing man it can be a very fulfilling experience.

Something I must also state is just how well made the game is, there are only a handful of glitches which have been spotted by gamers so far, none of which ruin the experience. When you think about it this is pretty staggering given the millions of MW3 gamers out there, some of which are looking for problems /glitches to moan about.

Do you agree with my MW3 multiplayer review? Leave us a comment below sharing your own opinions.

Since the launch of Modern Warfare 3 we have been looking for a full list of MW3 titles and how to get them, currently there is no complete breakdown available, however we have found one site which is almost there.

If you head over to the Call of Duty Wikia you can see that there are 512 titles to earn in total, rough calculations suggest that they show you how to get 70% of these including what level you have to be on to earn it, whether you need to prestige before you earn it and if the title has bee confirmed.

Lots of the title are very similar to what we saw in Modern Warfare 2, the ones which we think are going to be the hardest to earn include “Unbelieveble” – Get a throwing knife kill in game winning killcam, “All Pro” – Headshot two or more enemies with a single bullet and “Droppin’ crates” – Get a game winning killcam by dropping a crate on the enemy.

Many of the titles require you to max out a certain weapons proficiency or gain 500 kills for it, likewise lots of them also require you to earn a certain amount of kills with certain class settings, examples of these are: “Kick” – Use Kick Proficiency to kill 300 enemies while aiming down sights and “Hardline Pro” -	Get 200 killstreaks while using Hardline.

As previously mentioned the list of titles is a work-in-progress, so head over to the Wikia and bookmark the website, we are sure that in a week or so the list will be complete.

Have you earned a title which is not yet listed on the site? Leave us a comment below stating its name and how you earned it.

Many of you queued for Modern Warfare 3 last night, therefore you probably stayed up later than usual trying out the many game modes. Unsurprisingly glitches have already been found in the game (none of which ruin multiplayer like MW2′s infamous Care Package glitch). One of these MW3 glitches lets you get out of the map during the campaign, the other is a sneaky spot which makes Survival mode on the Resistance map much easier.

Let’s start with the spot on Resistance. When you start the game and keep heading to your left (South East on the HUD) you will find a small set of stairs to go up, which leads to medium-sized balcony with some tables, chairs and umbrellas on it. Here head to the far edge, jump onto the sign post and then jump onto what looks like a bus stop. When you are on the bus stop you can lay down and pick of the enemies on the balcony very easily, in fact when prone it is almost impossible to get hit.

Obviously later in the game when helicopters get involved etc, so things will get more tricky, also you’re likely to run out of ammo, so you will have to use the spot cleverly and pick up ammo when the coast is clear. We have embedded two videos at the bottom of this post, the top of which shows you how to find this spot.

The next glitch isn’t quite as exciting, but worth a mention none-the-less. When working your way through the campaigns Bag and Drag mission you will witness an AC 130 strike, soon after this you will walk down a narrow street and see a portaloo / portapotti (see below). You can use the objects around this to get on to of it, you then jump from the toilet across the street onto the fencing, walk around it to the end of it and then strafe right onto the sign. You then jump into the large pile of trash and through the fencing on the other side – volia you are now out of the map.

You can see videos showing you exactly how to perform both glitches below, have you spotted any other glitches? If so please email me, preferably with screenshots or a video. It will be interesting to see if Sledgehammer Games / Infinity Ward patch these minor exploits, we will keep you posted as we discover more.

There are lots of ways to promote a game’s upcoming release, however lately we have seen lots of companies opt for a live action trailer to really help build the hype. We have just come across the official Modern Warfare 3 live action trailer video and have to say that it is the perhaps the best to date.

Anyone who checks Product-Reviews regulalry for gaming news will have seen our article where we claimed that Bethesda’s Skyrim live action trailer puts EA’s Battlefield 3 live action trailer to shame, well scroll down to the bottom of this post to see the hilarious new Modern Warfare 3 live action trailer.

In the video you see Sam Worthington (Marcus Wright from Terminator Salvation) train a noob played by Jonah Hill (Seth from Superbad), as you can imagine the video is very comical, but also highlights similar experiences which noobs face when they sign in to multiplayer for the first-ever time (we’ve all been there).

Throughout the video you see the noob struggling, at one point he meets his fate thanks to a bouncing betty and he also try his luck with an RPG. Towards the end of the video he is finally getting the hang of things, he takes out a group of enemies with his assault rifle, pistol, some frag grenades and even a throwing knife – the video finishes before he calls in his care package and whatever other killstreak rewards he earned for this and we simple see text reading “There’s a soldier in all of us”

Check out the video for yourself below, do you agree that this is the best-ever live action trailer?

If you are a PC gamer who is looking forward to the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 we have lots of information for you to get through, earlier we told you all about the Prestige Shop, now thanks to a post over at the Call of Duty forums lots of questions about the PC version of MW3 have been answered.

You can see the full Q&A here, in our article we will talk about the game’s minimum requirements and some exciting information regarding the way multiplayer games will be hosted this time around.

To run the game you need to be running Windows XP, Vista or 7 with at least 2GB of RAM, 16GB free space and a processor which is equal to or better than the AMD Phenom X38750 / Intel Core 2 Duo E6600. In terms of graphics card Infinity Ward say that a 256MB ATI Radeon X1950 / NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT or better is needed with DX 9.0 or later and at least Shader 3.0. It goes without saying that for the best performance you should be using one of today’s top end video cards.

There’s lots of info to get through in terms of multiplayer game hosting, therefore it is probably best to check out the link in the article’s second paragraph for full details – however we will quickly sum things up for you.

The PC version of Modern Warfare 3 will boast dedicated servers, also there will be an in-game server browser which lets you filter in many ways such as gametype, hardcore, map, ping and much more. We can also tell you that as you would expect there is Steam Integration, a lobby system, party matchmaking and matchmaking for public games.

If you want to know the answers to any of the following questions go here.

Does the PC version of Modern Warfare 3 support the same Private Match options?

A lot has been said in the last few months about the fact that Modern Warfare 3 still utilizes the same game engine as Modern Warfare 2. Naturally, the developers are going to go on the defensive on the negative claims, and we have some comments to share with you from the boss of Sledgehammer Games.

If you didn’t know already, Sledgehammer Games has co-developed the multiplayer portion of the game, alongside series veterans Infinity Ward and also newcomers to the franchise, Raven Software who have assisted in developing some DLC for the game as well as aspects of the user interface.

In a recent interview with CVG though, the general manager of Sledgehammer Games Glen Schofield has responded to criticism of the engine used in the upcoming game, by saying that the engine is actually a ‘porsche’ – as described in his comments below:

“I’ve worked on a lot of engines over my lifetime and spent a lot of time putting graphics in to them and this thing is a Porsche. And what I mean by that is that it is stream-lined, everything in it is perfectly freaking clean. You can tell it’s been worked on for years. It’s easy to upgrade.”

There was also an element of anger in his defence of the engine too, as he blasted critics who label the Modern Warfare 3 engine a ‘cut and paste job’:

”If you put Modern Warfare 2 next to Modern Warfare 3 you would see a huge difference. Look at all the character models, look at all the gun models, look at the reflections, look at the water. There is so much that we’ve added, so when someone says ‘cut and paste’, I don’t even want to talk to them because they don’t know. They just don’t know. They have no idea.”

Regardless of how you feel about Modern Warfare 3, the game is definitely looking very impressive on the visuals side of things, and although we’re yet to check out multiplayer mode, we’ve played the co-op mode survival and gameplay is looking very smooth indeed with constant reminders from the developers that MW3 will be locked in at 60FPS on console.

Schofield obviously likes to refer to his game engines as car models, but what do you think about it? Is the Modern Warfare 3 engine really a cut and paste job in your opinion or not?

Activision’s chief marketing officer, Tim Ellis, recently dropped a bombshell regarding the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, however we have to admit that we are a little bit worried about what it promotes.

When you buy a bottle of Mountain Dew or a packet of Doritos they will come 10 digit alphanumeric codes, these codes will unlock double XP, which will obviously allow you to rank up twice as fast (when playing multiplayer games).

The amount of double XP time is decided by what product you buy, apparently 32oz fountain cups and 20oz bottles of Mountain Dew will give you 15 minutes of double XP, a 12 pack will get you 45 minutes and a Wal-Mart 20 pack will get you 90 minutes. Players are limited to 750 entries and a maximum of 24 hours double XP time, we done some calculations and this equates to around 96 20oz bottles of Mountain Dew!

Not only will gamers get the double XP mentioned above, but if you combine a bag of Doritos with a bottle of Mountain Dew you will be eligible to an additional 15 minutes of double XP and entry to sweepstakes, here gamers will be able to win a range of prizes including Call of Duty hoodies and hats, Modern Warfare 3 console bundles, and a $45k 2012 Jeep Wrangler – check out GamePro.com for further details regarding the prizes and start / end dates for the promotion.

We aren’t going to be too opinionated because we don’t want to be on the sharp end of a lawsuit, but we wonder what nutritionists would have to say about this – obviously drinking Mounting Dew and eating Doritos as part of a balanced diet should be fine, but not everyone will stick to this, therefore it could add fuel to the gaming / obesity argument.

Do you think that this promotion is quite irresponsible? Let us know in the comments section below.
