As reported from TheStar, this new device will allow you to project a touchscreen onto your body, by producing acoustic signals, which are then translated into operating commands on a display screen.

This amazing technology could be used in future mobile phones, computers and audio devices. How does this work exactly though you ask? Well the lead designer for this project, Chris Harrison explains that Skinput uses an armband that ”projects a touch screen onto the forearm and hand”, and depending on which part of your body you ‘tap’, will send a different command into the display screen.

For example, Skinput can be used to dial a phone number by ‘tapping’ your forearm, or even play a game of tetris – according to TheStar. The possibilities of Skinput seem endless, from a creative point of view.
