Xbox 360 Lips to take on PlayStation 3 SingStar

For all you Xbox 360 fans who have been left feeling a little left out when it comes to singing along to your favourite tracks on your games console, the Xbox 360 is about to get its very own karaoke game called Lips. The game Lips is said to be Xbox’s answer to Sony’s PlayStation 3 SingStar, but will it ever be as good.
Lips will come with 30 songs, you will also have to ablity to sing your own music or download songs from an online servcie much like the SingStar on the Sony PlayStation 3. However; where Lips differs from SingStar is the use of 2 wireless interactive microphones. Lips will score you on the quality of your singing, from rhythm and tune as well as tracking pitch.
The wireless microphones will come with lights on them, these will then pulse to the rhythm of your voice, there are also motion sensors so that players can then dance away to score even more points. The greatest part of this game where it has the edge over SingStar, is how you can use your own music ripped from a CD or your iPod.
I have to say that Xbox 360 gamers have really been missing out on a game like SingStar which Sony PlaySation has had, it is great to know that 360 owners will now be able to sing along to their favourite tracks like i have been for years on my PS2 and PS3. No one can argue how popular the Xbox 360 is, and i am sure that it will not be too long before Lips will be able to compete with SingStar.
