Shuttle has recently revealed details regarding a new small form-factor desktop computer called the H3 6700P, this looks a lot like previous models and boasts the professional and minimalistic design which we are used to seeing from Shuttle, however underneath the casing there are some pretty neat technical specifications which cannot be ignored.

As is the case with pretty much all desktop PCs and notebooks there are a lot of optional upgrades offered to you, however as standard you get Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit, an Intel Core i3 processor (i3-2100), 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 500GB SATA HDD, a dual-layer DVD writer, integrated graphics, the Intel H67 chipset and Realtek ALC888 7.1 channel high-def audio.

In terms of ports and connectivity on the front you get 2 x USB 3.0 ports, 1 x eSATA/USB 2.0 Port along with standard heaphone and microphone jack ports, on the rear there is lots to talk about including 1 x Gigabit Ethernet Port, 1 x HDMI port, 1 x DVI-I port, 1 x eSATA port, 4 x USB 2.0 ports, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, all of the audio jack ports you would expect and there is also space for 1 x PCI-E graphics and 1 x PCI x1 v2.0 card.

There are lots of options which are available at an extra cost, such as Core i5 and i7 processors, 8GB and 16GB RAM, support for two SATA hard disk drives (maximum of 2TB per drive), SSD options, Blu-ray Combo or Blu-ray writer optical drives, NVIDIA Quadro or AMD FirePro graphics, liquid cooling and as you would expect you can also choose Windows 7 Professional (64-bit) or Windows 7 Ultimate 32/64-bit if Home Premium doesn’t meet your needs.

The Shuttle H3 6700P is currently available for $825.99, however we had a little play and by choosing all of the high-end optional upgrades you can easily spend in excess of $3500. Don’t let this price scare you too much as this takes into account $986 for the high-end Quadro 4000 2GB graphics option.

We were quite surprised to see that there is no mention of WiFi connectivity as standard or via an upgrade, in the tech specs it does say that there is a ini PCI-E x1 v2.0 slot which will take a WiFi card, however Shuttle do not give you this option, perhaps this will change as we think it is a big mistake.

You can see a gallery of images, full tech specs and a list of features over at Shuttle.com, also you can purchase the H3 6700P here.

Shuttle has recently unveiled some new barebones at Cebit 2011 which will be great choices if anyone is looking to built a HTPC or small form-factor PC in 2011, firstly we will look at the H7 Pro, the model number for this variant is SX58H7 Pro.

The H7 Pro supports Intel Core i7 processors thanks to its LGA 1366 socket and up to 16GB DDR-1333 (via two slots we presume), other tech specs worth mentioning include its Intel X58 chipset, 2 x PCIe X 16 2.0 slots, 1 x Mini-PCIe x 1 slot, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, 8 x USB 2.0 ports, eSATA, 2 x SATA 6 Gbit/s and 2 x SATA 3 Gbit/s.

There are 2 x Gigabit LAN ports, 2 bays for 3.5-inch drives, 1 x 5.25-inch bay, a 500 WATT PSU and 8 channel HD audio, also it use a heatpipe cooling system, you can see full specs over at Engadget here.

As you probably guessed the casing design is not dissimilar to many other Shuttles we have seen in the past, we have embedded one photo of the H7 Pro below, however a whole gallery can also be seen here.

We do not know how much this barebone will sell for, however we would imagine that Shuttle will reveal this information soon, check Product-Reviews.net later today for full specs for the Shuttle H3 and XG41, both of which also showed up at Cebit 2011 today.
