Wal-Mart online delivery now features grocery shopping

In the UK many of the big grocery retailers offer online deliveries of their produce straight to the consumer’s door. Now testing has begun that has Wal-Mart online delivery that features grocery shopping.

An article on Reuters is reporting the test has begun in San Jose, California a Walmart spokesman confirmed on Saturday. There have been rumors for a while that the world’s largest retailer was considering offering the service.

Called Wal-Mart To Go the service will allow consumers to visit the company’s website to order consumables and groceries, and have them sent direct to their homes. This includes products such as fresh goods, bakery, baby, over-the –counter pharmacy, frozen, meat and seafood, household supplies, and health and beauty items.

So far the online service has been difficult to achieve because of the short shelf life of fresh food, and the small profit margins involved. If Wal-Mart decides to roll out the service it will go up against Amazon Fresh and Peapod.

The company’s grocery business is already responsible for around $140.6 billion in sales last year. In the US groceries accounted for 54% of Wal-Mart’s total revenue. Would you like to get your groceries delivered to your home?

PS3 Games: Christmas Gift Guide 2010

Time seems to be racing by this year, which means that it’s going to be Christmas before we know it. While it may be hard thinking of gift ideas for some, gaming fans (such as my 16-year old son) are pretty easy to buy for. Unless you just don’t know what games to choose that is.

If it’s a PlayStation 3 owner you are buying for, then you may be interested in an article I found over at gamingbolt.com that was written by Rashid Sayed. The article provides a list of all the games, collector’s editions and hardware that might be worth purchasing this Christmas.

God of War 3 is the first game mentioned on the list, described as a 15-hour adventure that you really don’t want to miss. Heavy Rain is also on the list followed by Sports Champion for the PlayStation Move. With so much to do, Sports Champions is sure to have something for everyone.

Other games on the list include Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Gran Turismo 5 and Mod Nation Racers. If they haven’t already got it, the PlayStation Move starter pack is another great gift idea for Christmas this year. You could even buy them a PS3 Sports Champions Move bundle.

Today is the last day of Macy’s Cyber Monday sale, which started yesterday – I know strange ah. If you have not already been online to see the list of specials for 2010, then you had better do it soon before it is too late. The first thing that you need to know is that shipping is free if you spend over $75.

So let us take a look at a few deals that Macy’s has to offer. We can see that the online store has a thing for iPod Touch / iPhone docks at the moment, as they have a few up for offer. One such device is the Sonoro DS-4101BL, which comes with elements W Internet Radio. The usual selling price is $99.99; the sale price is just $79.99.

Another great offer, which the store is calling a special saving is the Discovery Expedition 1625075 Projector. This can be used to connect to your media device so you can watch TV shows or movies. The price is normally $160, then it was reduced to $132.80, now it can be yours today for just $79.99.

One of the best deals has to be on the Magellan Roadmate 1424 GPS. This might not be as popular as a TomTom, but you will love its slim sleek design. You would normally expect to pay $149.99, but the device can be yours for just $79.99.

Cyber Monday Sales: Deals Never Been So Good

For some Cyber Monday sales started yesterday, while for others like Dell the deals start today. Looking around there seems to be more offers than ever, and they are more than just free shipping. For years Black Friday has been the big sales event, but looks like this could change within the next few year.

Both Best Buy and Walmart started their sales yesterday, but I have to say was a little bit disappointed with the latter. However, when it comes to deals, then I think Dell has it covered. The reason I say this is because they have some amazing offers on laptops, desktops, printers and even software.

The number one website for showing you the best Cyber Monday deals has to be cybermonday.com, and they have picked 10 of what they believe to be the hottest deals, and top of that list is a HP DV6T laptop. However, as it is now getting near Christmas some of the best offers will be on toys and clothing.

2010 is the best year yet for online deals, so take advantage now and visit all the big brand websites. Visit them now to avoid disappointment.

Best Cyber Monday 2010 Deals and Ads

For some, Cyber Monday 2010 has already started, we have already seen a number of deals and ads sent to our inbox; so who has something going on over these next few days? Last year was a huge success, as consumers enjoyed some of the best deals seen in years, and this year is said to be even better.

Back in 2008 and 2009 we did notice that some store websites started to feel the strain of the made online rush – we now wonder if they are better prepared? We can already see by the Best Buy and Walmart Cyber Monday deals that they will be hit hard, Wal-Mart more so, as they have deals going on for the rest of this week.

Looking at some of the deals that Best Buy has to offer, you can see that their sale lasts just two days. I have seen a TV with $500 off, you cannot argue with savings like that. If I were to guess, I would say that it would be the video games that will be the most popular; this is because people will now be getting those Christmas gifts in early.

When you visit the Walmart website, you will see right away that all these deals are not in stores, so you do not even have to step outside your door. The only issue I have with these deals is the fact that you cannot see how much money you are saving – maybe it’s all about the free shipping then?

Most students in the U.S. will go back to school next week, and for those who have not already got their equipment for the new 2010 semester will be having one made rush at the weekend. We expect to see a number of stores offering deals on certain items needed for school, one such retailer is Best Buy.

As always Best Buy have an area on their website dedicated for back-to-school deals, and is broken down into categories. These are as follows: College, High School and Elementary, with the former also having four sub categories.

The college category has been broken down into four sub-cats, study, connect, live and entertain in style. Study in style has four products up for offer, with the best saving being on a TI-84 Plus Silver Graphing Calculator by Texas Instruments. The regular price is $137.99, but you can now get the device for just $109.99.

There are many similar offers up for grabs on the Best Buy website, just hurry as you do not have much more time left.
