Royal Navy Sea Harrier FA2 Fighter Aircraft for Sale on eBay: Who will bid?

Now we have come across many items for sale on eBay and this one has to be the most exciting, I mean come on a stunning REAL Decommissioned Sea Harrier FA2 Jump Jet Aircraft. We must warn you that this plane is not air-worthy, but who cares it is a Sea Harrier FA2 Jump Jet Fighter Aircraft.

At the moment the winning bid for this aircraft is at £26,100.00, on the eBay site the description is as follows “This is a decommissioned ex Royal Navy Sea Harrier FA2 Fighter/Attack aircraft which has served between 1987 and 1997 with all 3 of the Fleet Air Arm Harrier squadrons (800, 801 and 899 NAS). The aircraft is externally complete to Static display/museum standards and would make a truly stunning garden feature or museum exhibit. Complete with wing pylons and belly AMRAAM pylons. Replica engine nozzles (cast from the real thing) are fitted to give the impression an engine is installed. Complete with photos of the aircraft in service and its full history. This is the aircraft featured by Air fix as the 1:48 scale model of the FRS1 Sea Harrier in the 899NAS 50th Anniversary colour scheme. This colour scheme was applied to this aircraft in February 1993 prior to it’s conversion to FA2 spec.

Sadly this aircraft lost its nose leg in 1998 when it taxied into an airfield, they have however replaced the broken hinges and nose leg pins they have repaired the bulkhead and fitted a mechanical down lock the aircraft is now restored and is standing on its undercarriage for the first time in 10 years. There is no real damage to the airframe or outer skin. When the nose leg hinge broke the aircraft sat on the belly plyons/gun pods (which were fitted at the time) saving the skin from damage. There is no corrosion. The paint work is original and very clean. There is the odd minor mark or scratch but nothing major. Basically it is the cleanest and most tidy Sea Harrier museum type aircraft you will find on the open market today!

The aircraft is not airworthy and is sold for static display use only. There is no engine fitted. Many of the internal systems have been removed or made inoperative. The cockpit is stripped out. We have mocked up the cockpit so from the outside it appears like a seat is fitted. We can offer optional extras (which are not included in this auction) to the lucky winner. We could fit the cockpit out to around 90% completeness with stick, throttle box, HUD, display screens and instruments. We can supply real engine nozzles, gun pods (empty) and a suitable mk10 seat again at additional expense. We can enhance the aircraft to your own specification and budget.

For the purpose of this auction the aircraft is sold as it is where it is. What you see in the pictures is what you get, arranging delivery and assembly is not a problem but will be at buyer’s expense, international shipping is possible and will only export this aircraft to Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan, they can deliver to any UK port. Shipping would be in two flat pack/rack open top containers, an international export licence would also be needed but if dealt with correctly should not be a problem. Low start with a realistic reserve. If our reserve is not met we may sell the aircraft to highest bidder anyway so do not be afraid to bid if you are serious.

Fukato Datacask low cost Eee PC look-alike comes in May: Around $440

The low cost Fukato Datacask which has a remarkable resemblance to that of the Eee PC, well at least in many ways heading in the same direction as the Eee PC will be coming in May for around €279 (or about $440).

Canon Rebel XSI 12MP Digital SLR Camera now releases June 15th on Amazon

Bad news for those who want their hands on the Canon Rebel XSI 12MP Digital SLR Camera, the bad news is that the date has been pushed back to June 15th instead of the expected April release.

We all thought the Canon Rebel XSI was going to be released sometime in April after seeing an Amazon link stating this but hey we was wrong, we have now seen on the Amazon site information saying these exact words “Availability: This item will be released on June 15, 2008. Now we are not sure if this is true or Amazon have just made a mistake, but if this new June 15th date is real many will say that is a lifetime after wanting the Canon Rebel XSI 12MP DSLR for so long.

Official News: Asustek rolling out ASUS 8.9-inch Eee PC with touchscreen & GPS possibility

At last official confirmation on the second generation ASUS 8.9-inch Eee PC, this new laptop will feature 8.9-inch touchscreen display and possibly GPS.

ASUS VP of Sales Kevin Lin has said that the starting price of $500 the Eee PC will be shipping as early as May or June 2008 in either 8GB to 12GB capacities and it could possibly have GPS support.

Now if they do plan on releasing it then this means it is about the same time when they release the E-DT (desktop PC) priced at US$199

The new second generation ASUS 8.9-inch Eee PC will have Intel’s low-cost notebook platform and will be upgraded from 512MB to 1GB, SSD (solid state drive) capacity will be upgraded from 4-8GB to 8-12GB.

Sanyo Xacti DMX-CG9 camcorder just introduced: Not as good as Xacti HD2

Obviously when reading about the newly introduced Sanyo Xacti DMX-CG9 camcorder we know that it’s not as good as the Sanyo Xacti HD2, but then that is too obvious really.

Even so we can see these new camcorders doing quite well, the Sanyo Xacti DMX-CG9 as many features that include a 2.5-inch flip-out LCD, choices of colors such as
Silver, white, black and pink motifs plus 9.1-megapixel CMOS sensor, 5x optical zoom, 640 x 480 at 60fps maximum and MPEG-4 AVC / H.264.

It does not stop there because the Pentax Optio V20 8MP digital camera also features 52MB of built-in memory plus SD / SDHC expansion slot and rechargeable Li-ion battery which apparently is supposed to be really good.

Would you choose the Nike Air Max 90 Lime Sneakers?

On a personal note these Nike Air Max 90 Lime sneakers are just ugly and not ones I would personally choose but hey who am I, ok these OG colors on classic kicks look ok in a way and with JD Sports getting their own exclusives seem to be heading in the right direction.

We have all seen cell phones break the boundaries of great technology and performance but where this all new MP7 phone goes is something to sit back and ponder.

The reason I say this is because for starters everyone know it is TV & Bluetooth and yet the logo on this phone clearly shows MP7 TV & Blue Tooth, anyway not being the one to kick this phone in the head I just feel this phone has been lost in translation.
