Following on from the recent leaked photographs of the Google Nexus Two, now known to be called the Samsung ‘Neuxs S’, we now have more details for you, this time showing a few sample pictures from the Nexus S camera.

As reported from TechCrunch, three low-quality images have appeared on a Google Picasa album online, and we can see that the photos were definitely taken with the Nexus S, thanks to the included photo information besides the pictures.

While the photos itself are nothing special, the important information to come out of them is the fact that the Nexus S is likely to be equipped with a 5 megapixel camera, which may be a disappointment for some of you expecting an 8MP+ sensor.

If you’d like to see the photos, you’ll find them over at TechCrunch. Are you disappointed that the Nexus S will only come with a 5MP camera or not?

All signs are pointing in the direction that it’s gonna be the Samsung Continuum handset on Verizon, but we’re hoping (and secretly praying) that it is the rumored Google Nexus Two which is apparently being made by Samsung, although we also heard that it has been delayed.

We’ve just heard that the official user manual for the Continuum has already been provided by Verizon, which is a bit odd since they didn’t let Samsung officially announce the device yet. Hopefully in a few hours we’ll be able to bring you full details on the reveal.

Will it be the Continuum or Nexus Two? Let us know what your predictions are.

We have an update on the status of the Google Nexus Two smartphone now, and it isn’t particularly good news. We are hearing reports that the release of the phone has been delayed due to an unknown hardware problem.

As reported from Andronica, the source of the information has surfaced from TechCrunch, who have said that Samsung has discovered a serious hardware-related problem which is holding back the Nexus Two from being announced, and in-turn, released.

However, the report over at TechCrunch did confirm that the Nexus Two, when it finally does come out will be rocking a stock version of Android OS 2.3 Gingerbread. Unfortunately, they didn’t pinpoint a new release ETA for when this hardware issue will be fixed up.

What do you make of all this Nexus Two chatter? Check out the links above for the full story.

While the majority of Android users are naturally getting very excited on the prospect of Google announcing and unveiling the Nexus Two smartphone, one article we’ve read has stated that consumers shouldn’t get their hopes up about it.

According to Accurast, smartphone owners shouldn’t get too excited about the possibility of the Nexus Two, since they believe that the original Nexus One ‘failed’ in their opinion. Here is a portion of their article for your reference:

”Considering that the Nexus One did not fare too well, falling spectacularly short of Google’s promise to revolutionise the mobile phone buying process, it would come as quite a surprise that Google might even consider going down the same route again.”

We all know that Google halted sales of the Nexus One online due to their sales model and probably the only real failure, was their lack of marketing for the phone. The actual hardware and functionality of the device itself was first class, and I’m sure Android owners will agree that the Nexus One still remains one of the best handsets on the market for current owners.

Make no mistake about it, if a Nexus Two does become a reality, it will be a huge seller for sure. Accurast’s early claims of failure are a bit unfair we’d say. Check out their article through the link and let us know your thoughts on this.

Do you think a Nexus Two would fail?

Over the past few days we’ve heard of a fair few Nexus Two rumors. Ranging from a new name (Nexus S) to the fact that it will be branded by Samsung instead. In any case, what kind of specs do you think would warrant the Nexus two’s release?

Although the device is unconfirmed and ‘simply not true‘ according to Samsung, a Gizmodo ‘friend’ apparently got some personal time with the handset. A mock-up image of the Nexus two can be seen below.

Along with the so-called rumors, specs of the device have also surfaced with notable improvements over the first incarnation of the Google handset. Such improvements consist of a front-facing camera and a 4-inch AMOLED display. Wait a second, this sounds like a Samsung Galaxy S, doesn’t it?

The Nexus One also came with Bluetooth 2.0, therefore it would make sense it have the Nexus Two come with Bluetooth 2.1, and have WiFi n. A far superior processor would also have to be on the cards.

The Nexus Two, if rumors do turn out to be true, would also come with the next generation of Android OS — Gingerbread.

But all this could just be for nothing, as Google CEO Eric Schmidt previously said that there was no plans for a Nexus Two device.

As with any smartphone rumors, there are always conflicting reports, and we prefer to sit on the fence and take each bit of information as truesay until proven otherwise. So regardless of rumors, what specs do you think could spice up the Nexus Two?

Does Wifi n, Bluetooth 2.1, A front facing camera and Gingerbread cut the mustard? What would you include to make the Nexus Two (Nexus S) a superior successor? Remember all those fingerprint problems? Just saying…

If we are to believe this, then everything we and other websites have discussed in recent days was incorrect. But how do we know who to believe? Korean website Damawa were the website who broke the news that the phone does not exist; when Gizmodo says that it does.

I do not know anything about Damawa, so I cannot say how credible they are; but we all know how spot on Gizmodo were with the iPhone 4. There was even said to be contacts in Samsung who also conformed that the Google Nexus Two was real. The Next Web says that we will finally know what is happening in a week?

There is still a glimmer of hope that Samsung will launch the Google Nexus Two, and if they do then they will truly start leaving LG behind – something I fear happened with the introduction of the Galaxy S range.

What do you think, does the phone exist or not?

It is fair to say that smartphone lovers are going a bit nuts for the Google Nexus Two despite the fact that it is yet to be officially announced by either Google or manufacturers Samsung who will be building the device.

But that hasn’t stopped a whole collection of details leaking out on the successor to the popular Nexus One. Gizmodo started the bandwagon by claiming that one of their sources had some hands on time with the device, revealing that it looks almost identical in appearance to the Samsung Galaxy S.

Just yesterday, we informed you that an unofficial spec list had leaked for the Nexus Two, which suggested that the device will come equipped with a stock version of Android 2.3 Gingerbread and a 1.2Ghz processor of some sort.

The question is though, are you going to greet the Nexus Two with open arms as soon as it’s launched? It may be the upgrade that Galaxy S owners have dreamed about, even though the Galaxy S is by no means an outdated handset.

The Nexus Two might be a day-one purchase for owners of the Nexus One, but what about everyone else?

We’re sure you’ve heard the big news this week that the Google Nexus Two smartphone is on the way and that it is being manufactured by Samsung, rather than HTC who built the original Nexus One.

However, one worrying aspect of the upcoming device, is that the Nexus Two is meant to be similar in appearance to the Samsung Galaxy S, which is still considered to be a relatively new handset in some parts of the world.

If you are a Galaxy S owner, it may be particularly worrying for you to hear that Samsung are bringing out the Nexus Two, as if it happens, you can bet that the company will throw all their weight behind the Nexus Two in making sure that it can beat off competition from the likes of Motorola’s Droid devices and Apple’s upcoming iPhone 5.

Don’t forget that most Galaxy S owners (Scandinavian users aside) are yet to receive the official update to Android 2.2 Froyo, and we’d hate to think that the delay is due to Samsung focusing their efforts on the Google Nexus Two. If reports are true about the handset, then Samsung must be delighted to pick up the project after HTC, especially considering how popular the Nexus One was.

So it all comes down to a few vital questions. Are Samsung Galaxy S owners angry at the prospect of spending more money on what is essentially an upgraded version of the Samsung Galaxy S? At least you are guaranteed that it won’t be coming with Android 2.1 out of the box.

Give us your thoughts on this one.

Following on from our earlier report which gave you the first solid information on the upcoming Nexus Two handset by Samsung, we now have a potential release date for you to make a note of.

That is according to this report from AndroidandMe, who have obtained their information from multiple sources who have wished to remain anonymous.

According to the report, the Samsung Nexus Two will be officially announced on November 8th, and released soon afterwards to more than one carrier in the US. They also mentioned that the device will come with Android OS Gingerbread, interestingly tagging Gingerbread as v2.3 and not v3.0 as previously rumored this week.

If Samsung do go ahead and announce the Nexus Two, it will be interesting to see what happens to Galaxy S owners, particularly since everyone is still waiting for the US carrier update to Android 2.2 Froyo.
