Rogers customers looking for a new smartphone in the coming months will soon be able to choose the Nokia Lumia 710 if a recent Engadget article turns out to be accurate, apparently it will be arriving in the first week of February – today we have full details in regards to price options thanks to a leaked product launch flyer.

The flyer shows that you will be able to buy the Lumia 710 outright for $254.99, however this drops to $149.99 if you agree a one-year deal, $99.99 if you agree a two-year deal and just $49.99 if you agree a three-year deal.

This affordable smartphone is pretty impressive especially given its price, you can see Nokia’s full product overview here, with a 3.7-inch display, a 5 megapixel camera capable of 720p shooting, Microsoft’s intuitive Windows Phone 7 OS, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, WiFi b/g/n, a 1400MHz processor and 512 MB of RAM it will be very tempting!

To give you an idea of just how good this deal is you should head over to Rogers.com, the outright price is $105 lower than BlackBerry Curve 9360 and $200 cheaper than the 8GB iPhone 4, interestingly on-contract the Lumia 710’s $49.99 price tag (as part of a three-year deal) is the same as the BlackBerry Torch 9810 and 8GB iPhone – which would you choose out of these 3?

Recently we have began hearing how Nokia has now shifted over 1 million Lumia 800 smartphones and they plan to build on this with the Lumia 900, we think this is great but it’s also nice to see mid-end offerings which are affordable, therefore it will be interesting to see if the Lumia 710 becomes a popular Rogers offering.

Will you buy the Nokia Lumia 710 from Rogers? If not, why not?

Recently the guys over at Engadget spotted a screenshot which confirms that the LG Optimus Pad is coming to Rogers, not only this but it also told us when it would arrive and how much it will cost.

There are plenty of purchase options available, you can buy it outright for $699 or for a month-to-month deal you have to pay $649. If you do not mind signing up to a contract you can pay $600 for a 1-year deal, $530 for a two-year deal or $450 for a three-year deal. all of these options will be available from May 17th onwards.

Just in case you wasn’t aware the LG Optimus Pad is known in some areas as the LG G-Slate, it has an 8.9-inch display, 2D and 3D capture, a 1GHz dual-core processor, HDMI-out, a memory card slot which allows for up to 32GB of storage, Android 3.0 and both front and rear cameras. As you would expect there is also Adobe Flash and HTML5 support.

Cnet recently reviewed the Optimus Pad and could not find many imperfections, they like its lightweight design, fast performance, Android OS and 2D and 3D capture, one thing they did say is that the 8.9-inch display might not suit everyone’s needs,

Will you buy the LG Optimus Pad from Rogers? If so, do you think the prices are fair? Which option will you choose? Let us know in the comments section below.

Two weeks ago we revealed white BlackBerry Torch 9800, now we can confirm that this handset along with the white BlackBerry Bold 9780 are coming to Rogers.

We know this because dummy units have recently arrived at Rogers stores, at the moment no release date has been confirmed, but we do know that it will arrive before the white iPhone 4.

As for pricing, we would imagine that there will be no difference from the black versions, currently when you buy the Torch 9800 from the Rogers website (here) it costs $229.99, whilst the Bold 9780 costs just $149.99 (here).

We have embedded an image below showing you the white Bold 9780 and Torch 9800, personally I prefer the standard black versions, do you?

Today we have some good news for Canadians looking for a high-end Android-based smartphone, Rogers has recently started taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S.

This smartphone has been popular in the U.S. and the UK, therefore it should be a popular offering in Canada, especially as Rogers are asking for just $149.99 as part of a three-year deal, regardless of what price plan you choose.

There are a few different price plans available, the cheapest will cost you $50 per month, this will give you 200 minutes and 500MB of data, for $60 per month you will get 300 minutes and 500MB of data and for $70 per month you get 500 minutes and 1GB of data. Once you choose your price plan you get one free feature, such as unlimited messages or double minutes.

There is one other option available to you, for $5 extra per month you can get an additional 500MB date per month and tethering support.

Currently Rogers are offering a free WEP570 Bluetooth headset if you pre-order the handset before October 20th, this is apparently worth £90.

If you would like to pre-order your Galaxy S from Rogers check out this link.

Looking for an affordable handset from Rogers? If so you may be glad to hear that they have reduced the price of four pretty impressive smartphones.

These handsets are the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, the Acer Liquid E, the Motorola Quench and the Samsung Wave, as you can see all pretty reputable devices.

Lets start with the Samsung Wave, this handset launched on Rogers just one week ago, last week it would set you back $99.99 as part of a three year deal, however the same deal will now set you back just $79.99, you can find out more and perhaps purchase the Wave here.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 used to cost $149.99 as part of a three year deal, however now has a price tag of $99.99, if you would like to find out more detailed information regarding this handset, and perhaps purchase it, check out this link.

There are two handsets which used to cost $49.99 as part of a three year deal, however now they cost just $29.99, these are the Acer Liquid E and the Motorola Quench, both are what I would regard as mid-end smartphones which run Google Android. You can find out more about the Acer Liquid E here and the Motorola Quench here.

What handset out of the four will you choose?

A few days ago we posted an article which suggested that the Samsung Galaxy Spica would soon be available from Rogers and could possibly be running Android 2.0, we are now hearing that some of this was true, however the handset is only running Android 1.5.

The Samsung Galaxy Spica is now available from Rogers on a 3 year contract for $79.99, if you prefer a 2 year contract it will set you back $349.99, however if you want a 1 year monthly contract it will set you back £399.99.

As mentioned above Rogers will ship the handset running Android 1.5, however when an IntoMobile representative spoke to Rogers they said ‘It’ll launch with 1.5 but will be upgradeable to 2.1′.

If you would like to find out more about the handset’s specs check out our previous article, for more details check out IntoMobile.
