If you own a copy of the Rock Band 3 game and you are Puddle of Mudd or Maroon 5 fan, then I think we have some news that could definitely be of interest to you. The Rock Band franchise is about to receive some new DLC next week, with both Puddle of Mudd and Maroon 5 songs on the way.

As noted over on the rockband.com blog page, the next batch of downloadable content – which will be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii – will provide Rock Band fans with a three-song Maroon 5 pack and a three-song Puddle of Mudd pack.

The Maroon 5 song pack includes ‘This Love,’ ‘Won’t Go Home Without You’ and ‘Misery,’ which is the lead single from their 2010 album, ‘Hands All Over.’ Meanwhile, the Puddle of Mudd track pack includes ‘She Hates Me’ from their 2001 album ‘Come Clean,’ ‘Blurry,’ and ‘Control.’

Both song packs will be available on the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 3 as from June 21st, and then on the PS3 in Europe on June 22nd. Fans have the option of either buying the songs in packs, which both cost $5.49, or purchasing the songs individually for $1.99.

‘This Love’ and ‘She Hates Me’ also come with the option of Pro Guitar and Pro Bass expansions, which as most of you will know costs an extra $0.99. We have embedded videos below this post so you can see the DLC for yourself. Will you be purchasing any of these new songs?

It was only a few days ago, that I brought our readers news about the Linkin Park DLC that was due to be released for the Rock Band franchise this week. Now it appears that there are even more songs on the way, with the upcoming Country Track Pack 2 disc.

According to Stephany Nunneley over at vg247.com, Harmonix recently announced that the Rock Band Country Track Pack 2 disc will be available to buy on February 1st. The disc features a total of 21 songs, including tracks from artists such as Keith Urban and Johnny Cash.

Most of the tracks will start off being exclusive to the Rock Band Country Track Pack 2 disc, before they eventually join the Rock Band 3 Music Store. The disc – which is being published by Electronic Arts – will cost $29.99, and will be available for the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3.

The full song list (seen here) includes Alright by Darius Rucker, Sideways by Dierks Bentley, Man of Me by Gary Allan, Johnny Cash’s classic Ring of Fire, George Strait’s Twang, Kiss a Girl by Keith Urban, Perfect Day by Lady Antebellum and Summer Nights by The Rascal Flatts.

While we’re on the subject of the Rock Band game, have you ever seen a real guitar used instead of the Rock Band controller? If you haven’t, then check out the video that features on an article by Luke Plunkett over at kotaku.com.

The list of tracks available for the Rock Band franchise just keeps getting longer and longer. Just over the past few months we’ve seen songs from the likes of Paul McCartney, Billy Joel and even Johnny Cash added to the collection via DLC Packs.

Now it appears that even more songs are on the way. According to a recent vg247.com article by Johnny Cullen, Harmonix has just announced that it will be releasing a Linkin Park track pack next week, which will includes songs such as “What I’ve Done” and “Crawling.”

Other songs included in the pack – or sold individually – are “In the End,” “Somewhere I Belong,” “Numb” and “Waiting For the End.” Both “What I’ve Done” and “In the End” will also receive Pro Bass and Pro Guitar expansions, which will cost $0.99/£0.59/€0.79.

If you want to buy the songs separately they will cost $1.99/£0.99/€1.49/200 Wii points, while the complete pack will cost $9.99/£4.99,/€7.99/ 800 Microsoft Points/1000 Wii Points. The pack will be released on Xbox Live, Wii and US PSN on Tuesday, and EU PSN on Wednesday.

While we are on the subject of Rock Band DLC, it looks like Harmonix has a sale on Rock Band 3 DLC at the moment. According to Phil Hornshaw at gamefront.com, some packs have been marked down as much as 40 percent, while others are half price.

This includes Oasis Pack 01 (now 240 MS Points), The police Pack 01 (240 MS points), Nine Inch Nails Pack 01 (240 MS points), All That Remains Pack 01 (240 MS points) and Weezer Pack 02 (240 MS points). You can view the full list via the gamefront.com website here.

The Rock Band franchise has seen quite a bit of DLC over the past few weeks, including a couple of Queen song packs and a Billy Joel pack. Now we have just learned that there is yet more DLC on the way next week, which will include music from Paul McCartney and Wings.

According to Alexander Sliwinski over at joystiq.com, the new DLC update – which also includes music from Siouxsie and The Banshees and Inhabited – will be available as from December 28th on the Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360, while PS3 owners will have to wait until 4th January.

The individual songs included in the DLC pack are “Open My Eyes” by Inhabited and “Cities in Dust” by Siouxsie and The Banshees. Each song costs 160 Microsoft Points / 200 Wii Points / $1.99. The Band on the Run song pack will set you back 560 MS Points / 200 Wii Points / $6.99.

However, you can buy the songs on that pack individually. The songs include “Let Me Roll It,” “Helen Wheels,” “Band On the Run” and “Maybe I’m Amazed.” If you want to learn more about this DLC or other DLC that has been made available, then try visiting the rockband.com website.

In late October I am sure a lot of music fans will be buying Rock Band 3, this should bring music video games to a whole new level, with its pro mode and keyboard controller, therefore people are understandably eager to see what tracks they will be able to play.

If you check out JoyStiq’s recent article you can see what we believe to be the full 83 song tracklist.

For me there are a few tracks that stand out Rehab by Amy Winehouse, Good Vibrations by The Beach Boys, Get Up, Stand Up by Bob Marley & The Wailers, Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, The Power of Love by Huey Lewis and the News, I Got You by James Brown, I Love Rock ‘n Roll by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne and Free Bird Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Looking at the track list I can’t help but feel that a lot of the tracks are for older consumers, I’m sure that Rock Band DLC will add tracks from bands such as Green Day etc.

Check out the full track list via the source link below, which tracks are you looking forward to perfecting?
