Fans can choose to buy the whole DLC pack for £6.99 / €9.99 / 1350 Wii Points / 1080 Microsoft Points, or buy the tracks individually for £0.99 / €1.49 / 200 Wii Points / 160 Microsoft Points. However, Mama, I’m Coming Home and Bark at the Moon are only available as part of the track pack.

Pro Guitar and Pro Bass expansions are also available for the Mr. Crowley, Bark at the Moon and Mama, I’m Coming Home songs, but will cost you an extra £0.59 / €0.79 / 100 Wii Points / 80 Microsoft Points. Will you be downloading the full track pack or will you just pick individual songs?

It’s beginning to feel like we’re seeing new DLC arriving for the Rock Band franchise every week now. Just last week we brought you news on the David Bowie songs that were due to arrive this week, and now we’ve got news about more downloadable content coming soon.

According to a recent article by Brian Shea over at videogamewriters.com, Harmonix is preparing to release their first full album since the arrival of John Lennon’s “Imagine” last November. The next full album to get the Rock Band 3 DLC treatment is The Clash’s “London Calling.”

Only 18 of the 19 tracks that are featured on the album will be released next week, as “Train in Vain” was previously released a few years back. Five of the included tracks will feature pro guitar and pro bass upgrades, which will cost you an extra $0.99.

The album’s song list includes the title track London Calling, Jimmy Jazz, Hateful, Spanish Bombs, Lost in the Supermarket, The Card Cheat, I’m Not Down and Revolution Rock. The album will be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii on February 1st.

As Bo Moore from the pastemagazine.com website reports, the full album will set you back $19.99/1600 Microsoft Points, while individual songs will cost you $1.99/160 Microsoft Points each. Is the London Calling album something that you would purchase?

Rock Band 3 fans have definitely had plenty of new tracks to choose from over the past month or so, what with the recent arrivals of the two new Queen song packs and the Billy Joel DLC pack. Now it appears they will have even more songs soon, with the upcoming Johnny Cash DLC pack.

As Yogev over at nextgn.com recently reported, MTV Games and Harmonix have just announced that a Johnny Cash DLC pack will be arriving for the Rock Band 3 game on January 4th. The pack will feature eight of his greatest hits, including “I Walk the Line” and “Five Feet High and Rising.”

The Johnny Cash song pack will be made available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation3 and Nintendo Wii. The DLC doesn’t stop there either, as Rock Band 3 fans will also have access to a free pack containing songs from previous Rock Band titles such as “Supreme Girl” by The Sterns.

Other songs in the free DLC pack include “Get Clean” by Anarchy Club, “Night Lies” by Bang Camaro and “Conventional Lover” by Speck. According to the official post on the rockband.com website, the Johnny Cash DLC Pack will cost $13.49, or $1.99 per track if purchased individually.

You can read the full list of songs featured in both DLC packs and read more pricing information via the rockband.com website. What do you think of the Johnny Cash DLC Pack?

Back in August of this year we brought our readers an article on the Rock Band 3 game, listing a few of the 83 songs that are included in the popular music video game. We now have news regarding a couple of DLC packs, which will no doubt be of interest to all you Queen fans out there.

According to Yogev over at nextgn.com, MTV Games and Harmonix have just announced two new song packs for the Rock Band 3 game, coming from legendary rock band Queen. The packs will be arriving on December 7th, and will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii.

The two packs will feature tracks that are brand new to the Rock Band platform, as well as keys, harmonies and Pro Guitar/Bass upgrades to songs that have already been released. The first of the DLC is the Queen Extravaganza Pack 1, and the second is the Queen RB3 Enhanced Pack.

Songs on the Queen Extravaganza Pack 1 include “Hammer to Fall,” “Now I’m Here,” “Play the Game,” the RB3 version of “We Will Rock You” and “We Are the Champions” (RB3 version). The Queen RB3 Enhanced Pack includes RB3 versions of “I Want it All,” “Killer Queen” and “Under Pressure.”

You can read the full list of songs via nextgn.com. Will you be purchasing one or both of the Queen song packs for your Rock Band 3 game?

As reported from Joystiq, users of the PS3 version of the game will be prompted to download and install the update the next time they boot up the game.

The update will address freezing issues which had become apparent, and also a exploit involving using the pause menu in-game to rack up points, has been fixed too – sorry to spoil your fun glitchers. Furthermore, those who continue to try this exploit out on the pause menu will be greeted with an unreportable score at the end of the song.

According to Harmonix, this update is the first of two planned updates for the game. As for the title update for the Xbox 360, it is still scheduled for release ‘in the near future’.

It is pretty much a full gone conclusion that the six string guitar on Rock Band will be a huge hit, however I am sure that there are plenty of you worried that it won’t live up to the hype, if you are one of these people you should check out this JoyStiq article.

The guys over at JoyStiq recently got some hands-on with the guitar, the good news is that the guitar trainer paired with either the 102-button controller or the real Fender guitar is ‘astounding’, apparently there is all the gaming fun mixed with really learning how to play a musical instrument, sounds like a winner to me.

For me the real reason people want the six string guitar in Rock Band 3 is to learn how to play the guitar, JoyStiq say that after playing the game for some time you can pick up a guitar and actually play recognizable riffs from tracks.

I think that this pretty much proves that Rock Band 3 and the six string guitar will be a success, if you want some more insight you can see a whole bunch of screenshots here along with the full preview here.

Has JoyStiq’s hands-on convinced you to pre-order rock Band 3?

In late October I am sure a lot of music fans will be buying Rock Band 3, this should bring music video games to a whole new level, with its pro mode and keyboard controller, therefore people are understandably eager to see what tracks they will be able to play.

If you check out JoyStiq’s recent article you can see what we believe to be the full 83 song tracklist.

For me there are a few tracks that stand out Rehab by Amy Winehouse, Good Vibrations by The Beach Boys, Get Up, Stand Up by Bob Marley & The Wailers, Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, The Power of Love by Huey Lewis and the News, I Got You by James Brown, I Love Rock ‘n Roll by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne and Free Bird Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Looking at the track list I can’t help but feel that a lot of the tracks are for older consumers, I’m sure that Rock Band DLC will add tracks from bands such as Green Day etc.

Check out the full track list via the source link below, which tracks are you looking forward to perfecting?
