RIM BlackBerry Bold
The BlackBerry smartphones have a massive following and one of the coolest additions to their range is the RIM BlackBerry Bold, this phone is not only impressive but it may also change some peoples views of BlackBerry devices. Infosync World has given the Bold a hands-on review to find out why people are falling in love with this phone.

They found that specs impressive before they had even put a hand to the Bold, then looking at the tight build and beautiful screen they start to be won over. Research In Motion have really done something special with the BlackBerry Bold, the features include a very well-built phone with keys nice and stiff, these give the user a much nicer feel when typing, the phone is also very light and that’s with the battery installed. It also includes a BlackBerry first (HSDPA networking) and a nice 1GB of built-in storage (iPhone owners smile).

The BlackBerry Bold display looks good with 480 by 360 pixels, that’s the same as Apple iPhone but you get a crisper display thanks to being on a smaller screen. Infosync did not want to say if it was better than the iPhone display overall, they want to do a review with them side-by-side before making that claim.

The new BlackBerry really shines when it comes to the improved interface; the real winner here was the new media player that vastly improves over the current player on BlackBerry handsets. RIM are hoping that the new features in Bold and some other stuff coming soon to the BlackBerry line (no details yet) well help it compete much better with Apple’s device.

The e-mail and calendar applications have not had any real update, which is a shame. Although they have given the Bolds text-heavy menus a nice revamp in color. To get the full details of Infosync’s hands-on, visit it here.

Oh yeah that’s right the RIM BlackBerry Bold 9000 Smartphone is here as it has made its official debut. Research in Motion decided to take the wraps of this handset which has been based on the BlackBerry 9000, the difference with the Bold is that it has a new gorgeous display; the name also suggests a new direction for RIM, one that the smartphone maker feels is important for their future.

So what is so beautiful about the RIM BlackBerry Bold 9000 Smartphone? Well firstly it features a half-VGA screen which has a pixel resolution of 480×320 and produces 65,000-colors, the performance of the screen will truly blow you away the colors just seem to pop of the screen as they are both crisp and sharp. With the older 9000 watching video playback was not that good as things were both blurred and pixilated, but this is now a thing of the past. Other changes with the RIM BlackBerry Bold 9000 are with the menu interface, this has had a bit of a revamp as the icons look more modern. The handset itself looks more elegant than anything Research in Motion has had to offer before, the silver trim along with the curved edges helps to complement the black casing. The rear of the phone has been finished a little different than the front, it features a leatherette texture, this adds a little luxuary to the feel of the handset.
