Hands on with Fallout 3 plus interview
August 6, 2008 by Mark
Filed under PC Games, Sony Playstation 3, Xbox 360

We have found two great articles from Spong and PS3 Daily, Spong are giving you the full hands on with Fallout 3 and over at PS3 Daily they have some information about the Fallout 3 interview that took place with Greg Howson.
Spong started of their hands-on with Fallout 3 by saying that is was a swish hotel where there were journalists who were given access to play test an early Xbox 360 version of the amazing game Fallout 3 in London. They carry on to say that this game is part RPG and part FPS in implementation, Bethesda’s (of The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion fame) much heralded full 3D version of the PC classic.
We could go on and on about this game ourselves but we do not want to steal Spong’s thunder so please do give them a visit here and read the full hands-on review.
Now over at PS3 Daily they are reporting that Greg Howson from the Guardian recently had a round table interview with Fallout 3 project manager at Bethesda, Pete Hines. The interview proved to be interesting to say the least.
PS3 Daily highlighted the fact that Fallout 3 will not have online options and will only be a single player game, they also say that the Xbox 360 is the main platform for the game, in the interview the answer came back saying Microsoft Xbox 360 is their lead platform, but of course the PS3 and PC platforms will get the game. Read more over at PS3 Daily.

Iron Man Video Review: Is this PS3 and Xbox 360 game for kids?
May 13, 2008 by Mark
Filed under Game Video & Trailers, Gaming, Sony Playstation 3, Xbox 360

As we all know Iron Man was a massive success in the theatres but is the same for the game? Donning the red suit Iron Man for the gaming world looks good or does it look bad, we will leave that one up to you to decide. The Sega title for PS3 and Xbox 360 players take control of Tony Stark ripping apart tanks, catching fighter jets and flying high. The billionaire hero’s game shiny and polished or covered in a thick layer of tarnish? Runs parallel to the story of the film, the games plot attempts to excite and whoa us and the graphics look pretty decent compared to a lot of games on the market.
The only downsides to this game is the fact that if you have not seen the film in the theatres we can see you having real troubles understanding the story, for example if you have not seen the film but go and play the game you will not know about the power cell on iron mans chest.
The game is about of course the development of the suit and villains of course within the game have their very own suits, the game consists of a dozen missions including cities, deserts and flying fortresses. Each mission is similar, you basically fly to an area and then identify your targets and destroy them all and then take on the next set of targets.
I have not seen this film yet but have heard it is a great film to watch, but will this game be all what it is said to be. So is this game good or not, personally it seems a pretty good game but plots and storyline is pretty thin.
Please watch the Iron Man Video Review below and then let us know what you think of the game.
Review of the 2009 Toyota Venza Crossover Sedan
April 15, 2008 by Peter
Filed under Autos, CUV, Sedans & Saloons

The new 2009 Toyota Venza looks as though it could be a winner for the Japanese car manufacturer, it seems that the time of the old station wagon is almost gone as these type of crossover sedans take over. The Venza is supposed to be like a sport-utility vehicle; however the vehicle is much more of a car than a CUV. No matter what you call it the 2009 Toyota Venza looks as though it will is a winner.

The car was unveiled at the Detroit International Auto show in January and it seemed to generate a lot of attention to its stand, if you were to ask the question “what does the 2009 Toyota Venza remind us off,” I would have to say like the Ford Edge crossover. As you would expect Toyota seems to lean heavily on Lexus to get the car looking sleek and give it a more luxury fell. The Venza looks a little like the Lexus RX350, however the Venza sits lower to the ground even though the vehicle comes with 19-inch alloys as standard however, if that is not enough as an option you can choose a set of 20-inch alloys.

The 2009 Toyota Venza is very roomy inside and will seat five adults comfortably, however as it is higher than a standard sedan the Venza offers a little more head room. When it comes to storage space in the rear the 2009 Toyota Venza seems to come up a little small, you will get the same amount of storage as you would in a Camery or a Highlander.
The basic engine is big at 2.7 liter, however if you want more grunt then the 3.5 liter V6 is a great choice. That engine will push out 268 horsepower and is mounted to a six-speed automatic transmission. Toyota will offer you the choice of either a front wheel drive or an all four wheel drive.

Toyota have worked on the safety features and has given the 2009 Toyota Venza front, side and head-protection airbags as well as a little knee-protection bag for the driver. Also included is the new Toyota STAR active safety system, this includes anti-lock brakes, brake assist, electronic brake-force distribution, stability control as well as traction control. You could not be in a safer environment.

There are a range of models in the 2009 Toyota Venza Crossover Sedan range even the lowest model comes with cruise control, automatic dual-zone air conditioning, electro-chromatic rearview mirror with compass, six-CD changer, remote keyless entry and a lot more. So you do not have to break the bank in getting some extra gadgets in your car.

First Drive of the 2009 Honda Pilot CUV

Back in January Honda decided to show off a concept of their 2009 Honda Pilot at the Detroit Auto Show; however it seemed as many of the people who visited the Honda stand were a little under whelmed. This is the second generation Pilot, and Honda wanted to try and keep a utilitarian look with this crossover. The problem that Honda faced was trying to create a larger interior; however what that means is you are left with a boxy exterior look.

The 2009 Honda Pilot is not the best CUV on the market so the Mazda CX-9 and the Buick Enclave will not have to worry too much. When you jump into the interior of the Pilot, it is like climbing inside a greenhouse and start driving that around. Ok sorry I am being a little nasty there; the 2009 Honda Pilot is more like a barn. This crossover is not all bad though, the road noise in the vehicle is quieter than the previous model this is thanks to the more aerodynamic styling.

The new model comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine this power plant pushes out 250HP, and although not much across the entire range fuel economy is up by 1MPG. The acceleration is faster than what you expect; however there are many other crossovers that perform much better like the Audi Q7 TDI 4.2. However, the 2009 Honda Pilot is more of a particle CUV.
The 2009 Honda Pilot CUV will not set your world alight, but Honda have built this crossover to do what it has been built for, and that is for moving a whole bunch of people around and feel comfortable thanks to the amount of room that you have. Although the new Pilot is nothing special, you can upgrade to the Touring trim level. This is more of an expensive model, but it is worth paying the extra and it is almost on par with the Acura.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue hands on online gaming: It is pathetic!

Having played Gran Turismo 5 Prologue I will give you my honest review, some may get offended but oh well it is an opinion well worth talking about.
Playing Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and just playing the game going through the classes is truly amazing and would say it is the best driving game I have ever played and for some reason cannot put the controller down. I have been addicted to CoD4, but until I got this game I have not played Call of Duty 4 for a while now.
Anyway that is the good bit now I will tell you how I feel about playing Gran Turismo 5 Prologue online, after about the 20th time to do the update I finally got to play online and to tell you the truth wish I never.
Racing around the track and obviously wanting to come first is all good but for idiots just basically using your car to help themselves around the corners or to take you off the track is totally pathetic, these boys and girls need to learn how to play a fair game and not cheat.
This is why they really do need to put DAMAGE on the full version game and if they do not then please DO NOT even bother bringing the game out. Please do not get me wrong the game is fantastic and I love it to bits and many of you will agree with me, but either they need to put damage on or ban people playing online if they cheat.
How do you feel about Gran Turismo 5 Prologue online?
Sony HDR-SR12 HD camcorder is not cheap but still strong competitor
April 1, 2008 by Mark
Filed under Camcorders, Electronics, High Definition

The Sony HDR-SR12 HD 1080/60 camcorder has just been reviewed by CamcorderInfo and an in depth one at that which you can read via the source link below. We believe that this camcorder deserves a lot more loving.
Ok with a price tag of around $1399 it is not the cheapest option but yet still a very strong competitor to similar models, you know like that of the Canon HF10. Yes the bitrate is a bit lower than the Canon model at 16Mbps and the overall image quality was overall comparable due to the Bionz image processor and Exmos CMOS sensor.
There review is pretty good but comparing it to the Canon HF10 is not what many people would have done, because the HF is a pocket-size solid state recorder, while the SR is an HDD-based tank. The HDMI connector is a mini connector and not a standard sized one which means apparently a cable will have to be bought to get HDMI.

It does have 120GB storage which is good plus the fixed 60i framerate seems a pretty good selling point also, ok if shooting the camcorder in 30p or 24p is not that important then the Sony HDR-SR12 HD camcorder is defiantly worth thinking about.
If you know more about the HDR-SR12, please do let us know?

Comparison: Old Hulk vs. New Hulk

Someone has made themselves a compare video of the old Hulk movie from 2003 and the new Incredible Hulk film of 2008. I remember the 2003 movie and I hated the CJI, so it is nice to see that they have improved the big green guy.
I can see that the 2008 Incredible Hulk movie is set to be such a huge improvement on the old movie. The video is a little jumpy; however it is still cool to see.

SEGA Bass Fishing video review for the Nintendo Wii
March 11, 2008 by Peter
Filed under Game Video & Trailers, Gaming, Nintendo Wii

SEGA Bass Fishing for the Nintendo Wii promises to be an exiting game, however I think that only applies only if you like fishing from the start. If you are after exercising your arms, then you should get this game.
Watch the guy in this video review of the game, he has got a bite and he is going mad to try and reel his bite in. And you have to make sure that there is not too much tension on the line, as it could snap and that’s your fish gone.
