Back in November we brought you news about a new DLC pack, which was due to be released for the real-time strategy video game R.U.S.E. Some of you may already know but for those of you who don’t, the Manhattan Project DLC Pack has now arrived and is ready to be downloaded.

According to Scott Tortorice over at gamesquad.com, the “Manhattan Project” DLC pack – which includes 2 new multiplayer modes and 3 new exclusive multiplayer maps – is available to download directly from Xbox Live Marketplace, Steam or the PlayStation Network, for free!!

As previously mentioned, there are two new 2 vs. 2 maps – Twilight of the Gods: North Africa and Vesuvio: Italy and one new 3 vs. 3 map – Guns N’ Tulips: Holland. The two new online multiplayer modes included in the pack are “Total War,” which sees battle commence in 1939 and “Nuclear War.”

The “Nuclear War” map enables players to begin the game with all factories, prototype units and upgrades unlocked, while players will have to unlock all units and technology as they go in the “Total War” map, according to Andy Griffiths at gamerzines.com (screenshots available here).

Will you be downloading the Manhattan Project DLC pack?

Ubisoft has recently announced some free R.U.S.E DLC, this will be called the Manhattan Project Pack and will be coming to Windows, Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the real-time strategy video game.

Apparently this DLC will add two 2v2 maps and one 3v3 map, there will also be two new modes, these are Total War and Nuclear War, both of which sound pretty exciting.

Total War will involve you starting in 1939 and unlocking units and technology one year at a time, as for Nuclear War, this mode allows you to start with “all prototypes, factories and upgrades”.

At the moment no official release date has been given, therefore we will have to keep you posted as more details are revealed.

Which new game mode are you looking forward to the most, Nuclear War or Total War?

Ubisoft has revealed the first list of changes that have been made to R.U.S.E. following the Public Beta. The fine-tuning list covers a lot of changes, but the ones released so far are not gameplay adjustments, only balance and stat evolutions.

The full list of changes can be found here via the Ubisoft forums, and as there are far to many to mention, we suggest you checking them all out one by one.

Several more updates are also in the works and will be released later on during the week. A big surprise is also thought to be planned for R.U.S.E. fans as Ubisoft’s senior producer Mathieu Girard took to the game’s forums and said “In a matter of days, I will announce a big surprise, a special treat for all our fans.”

But that is not all, the game’s Facebook page also has an image that shows the Steam logo and “15-7” which could indicate a new Public Beta or even a brand new demo.

The game is due for release in September, so stay tuned for updates.

The last time we spoke about the upcoming Ubisoft title RUSE was back in December 2009, here we posted a trailer for the upcoming game ans also revealed that a Mach 2010 release date was looking likely, now that March has come and gone its obvious that this wasn’t the case, we are now hearing a delay has pushed the release date back to September 2010.

The release date delay may not be a bad thing as Ubisoft have stated that the reason for the delay is due to “massive feedback” from the game’s beta testers, apparently this feedback has convinced Ubisoft to make massive changes to the game to improve the overall multiplayer experience.

This information came to light on RUSE’s Facebook page, if you check out this link you can see a list of some of the changes being made.

At the moment no specific release date has been confirmed, all we know is that we should expect to see it in late September, when we find out more we will keep you posted, for more details check out the link below.

As reported from VG247, the game will be out 3rd June worldwide, 4th of June in the UK.
