Download Burnout Paradise on Sony PS3 Store

For those of you that didn’t buy Burnout Paradise or your dog chewed on the disc, then you will have your chance to download a copy of the game from the Playstation network store in the fall, rumored to be around $30.

If you have played Burnout Paradise then you will know that it’s not the best graphics game, but it’s a driving game with action and fun gameplay.

Some gamers don’t like burnouts arcade style or unrealistic approach to driving but then this is the very reason why burnout is so popular…a driving game with extreme speed and thrills.

Being able to download Burnout Paradise from the PSN Store and many more titles in the future is a great idea, which will save valuable shelf space.

Who wants to be swapping between discs every time you change games when there is a better option?

Digital game downloads on the Sony PS3 wont be for everyone but it’s certainly better for the environment.

Sony Playstation 3 Network (PSN) Offline: PS3 users unhappy

Sony Playstation 3 Network
We all know there has to be updates and when its not possible to keep everything online we have to have downtime, but when gamers in the UK come home from work or school today and want to play games on their Sony Playstation 3, its not going to happen. They will be given the message, use of the Playstation Network has been suspended and to new people that means an update.

In this case the PSN is getting a big update, well in time scare that is, thanks to being offline from 15:00 BST to 20:10 BST. You will have no access to the Playstation store on your Sony PS3, and more upsetting is the result of no online gaming over PSN.

What I cannot understand as a PS3 owner and also other people I know have mentioned the same, is why are they updating in the busy time of gaming when they could of done this update in the middle of the night or early hours when the UK is sleeping.

I am happy that the PSN is getting an update, and even happier if this includes some really cool extra features that could be heading to a PS3 2.40 firmware and maybe even stability for Home. Just trying to work out why the PSN in the UK could not be taken offline when the UK is sleeping.

Unless this is an update to the PSN around the whole world, now that is very unlikely. When we get to around 20:10 BST you should be able to sign in and use the Playstation Network as normal, we will update you on any changes we see (if any).

Do you think the time of this PSN downtime could have been planned better?

playstation network
Today being April 14th will be a pain in the backside for many gamers because it has been report that the Playstation Network is scheduled for maintenance today.

The PLAYSTATION Network will be down today which means the store will be totally inaccessible, the maintenance will include background changes necessary to accommodate the Store redesign.

When the scheduled maintenance is finished there will be a new firmware update available for all to download. We are not too sure if online gaming and friends lists will be affected.

Should Gran Turismo 5 Prologue owners get add on pack for full game?

Should Gran Turismo 5 Prologue owners get add on pack
This is a question I would love answered and that is “Should Gran Turismo 5 Prologue owners get add on pack for full game?

The reason I ask this is because many of us including myself have bought this awesome game and of course with the knowing that the full game is coming soon, but should we have to pay the full price for the full version of the game?

I think owners of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue should be offered a add on pack to make the Prologue version the full version, yes ok we all have had the choice of buying GT5 Prologue or just sit back and wait for the full version, but come on they know we was going to buy it and not wait.

I bought Gran Turismo 5 Prologue from Asda store for £19.41 and of course when the full game comes out we are looking at around £35 so in total for buying both that is £54.41.

They should allow us to go onto the PSN and download an add on pack for the same price as Gran Turismo 5 Prologue that way it is fair, would you not agree.

Official Update: Sony say sorry for the Network Hack and PS3 Vulnerability

sony Network Hack and PS3 Vulnerability
As reported earlier on today about the PS3 Vulnerability and Network Hack which left weaknesses found on their PSN system (See Here), Sony have officially said sorry.

Sony officially Apologizes for the PS3 Vulnerability and Network Hack, we deserve more than just an apology because this should never have happened.

Hackers who discovered a way to hack into the system where they could access PSN accounts is terrible because not only can they change passwords they can also use peoples credit, thank god the hackers cannot access credit card information or use Visa cards because that could have been mayhem.

A new patch closing down this exploitation should be released pretty soon. A word of warning please try and access your PSN account just to make sure no one has changed your password.

More information can be found via JP Playstation.com (in Japanese though, sorry).

Forums join forces with Playstation network: PSN Sign In ID is needed

Playstation network
In a report recently announced PSN is coming to forums, this means that forums will be joining forces with Playstation network pretty soon.

You will have to use your PSN Sign In ID to be able to login to the forums which means one less password needed. You will have to link your forum account to your PLAYSTATION®Network account (PSN).

The process is very simple indeed which you can see here, and yes it should only take a few minutes to complete. These changes are happening at the official European PlayStation forums and after 3 days of being offline as from the 17th March all members will not be able to login to the forum unless you have a PlayStation Network ID.

Is this a good or bad thing?

Here we have a new trailer for you of Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3, this is the classic arcade game that will be in 3D Hi-Def. The game will be available on both XBLA and PSN.

So many people are saying that Home will change the Sony PS3, however there are a number of people who doubt this. Here is some new footage of Home, forgive the poor quality.

So will Home change anything on the Sony PS3?
