We have an interesting article for those of you who are still not impressed by 3D Stereoscopic visuals on games, as Crytek, developer of upcoming game Crysis 2 has said that playing the game in 3D will offer a more enjoyable experience than 2D.

As reported from Eurogamer, Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli was speaking in a recent interview with GamaSutra when he revealed the news. In case you didn’t know, Crysis 2 will be taking full advantage of the PS3′s 3D capabilities, with the developers behind the game keen to give their backing to the new technology.

Here is a portion of Yerli’s interview: ”If you play Crysis 2 in 2D on a normal TV, you will have a lot of fun, but if you buy a 3D TV, you will have even more. I want our games to be one of the first games out there to show how 3D could be and what it means for first-person gaming.”

He went to say how 3D gaming is ‘inevitable’ and if you don’t like it now, you’ll come round to the idea later on when it becomes more widespread. At the moment, it is fair enough if you don’t like the idea of 3D, especially since there are hardly any 3D games to play anyway, but 2011 will be a different story, with the majority of PS3 games coming with added 3D support.

Of course, it also means that Killzone 3 and Crysis 2 will not only be going head-to-head in the FPS stakes on PS3, but in the 3D department too. Check out the full interview through the link and let us know your thoughts on this.

Do you support 3D gaming or not? Crysis 2 is out in March on PS3, PC and Xbox 360.

We have some exciting news for Mortal Kombat fans now, as a report on a French website has seemingly leaked the official box art for the PS3 edition of the rumored Mortal Kombat HD Kollection, as well as a few other juicy details.

According to this report from JeuxVideo, Mortal Kombat HD Kollection will be out on the PS3 on November 18th, priced at 30 Euros.

Interestingly, they have also obtained a screenshot of the ‘official’ box art, which includes a Sony 3D logo. If that wasn’t enough for you, they claim that the HD Kollection will also feature a demo of the upcoming Mortal Kombat 9 game, which would obviously be a major incentive for PS3 gamers.

I’m most excited about the 3D part though. Does it mean that the packaged games (MK1,2 and UMK3) will be available in 3D, or just the Mortal Kombat 2011 demo in 3D? It seems likely that it is just the demo, but you never know.

This is just a rumor now until everything is confirmed. Let us know your thoughts on this. Has the 3D and MK9 demo additions made this game a must buy for you?

Sony used the Tokyo Game Show to update their list of supported 3D games for the PS3, and if you already have a 3D TV or planning to get one, you’re going to be pretty excited on what you can play next year.

Some of the 3D games that were shown at TGS we already knew about, like Gran Turismo 5 for example, but there were plenty of new titles that were announced with 3D support.

These include Final Fantasy XIV due out in March, Everybody’s Golf 5, Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories and the next title in the Metal Gear franchise, titled Metal Gear Solid: Rising.

If that wasn’t enough, Sony also confirmed that ICO and Shadow of the Collossus will have support for 3D and then they saved their big gun until last – 3D support for the highly anticipated Last Guardian game, due out Christmas time next year.

If you can afford a 3D set, then that list is surely something to get excited about. Don’t forget you’ll also be able to play Killzone 3 and Mortal Kombat 9 in 3D as well.

Sony are really going for it, aren’t they? Let us know your thoughts on this. If you’ve seen a 3D title which we don’t know about, let us know below and we’ll add it to the list.
