As reported by VG24/7, developer of the Prototype games Radical Entertainment has announced that those in the US who would like to pre-order the game will find an added extra heading their way, as you would expect from purchasing the game early, courtesy of and exclusive to GameStop. The bonus content can be obtained at the retailers between January 1st and April 23rd of this year and is called Sgt. James Heller’s Devastating Bio-Bomb Butt Kicker Ability.

According to Radical Entertainment’s studio head, Ken Rosman the ‘Butt Kicker is a fun Twist on Heller’s already over-the-top new Bio-Bomb ability.’ It gives the character Heller the ability to ‘drop-kick punt’ Blacklight virus infected enemies across the map, turning them into ‘projectiles that rain down devastation from above’ as opposed to simply throwing them.

Early previews of Prototype 2 have suggested that it has come a long way since the previous title, even previews by those that were not overly keen on the first game have admitted that the sequel is impressive. It is due to hit stores in the US on April 24th across all platforms and likely to appear in the UK and other countries a few days after.

The game is currently being developed by Radical Entertainment and it will be published by Activision. No doubt there will be a Facebook page for Prototype 2, there are a couple already but neither looked like the official one to me.
