Who said that cameras were not allowed at the event? We have the first pictures of the event to show you now, taken actually inside the arena despite Microsoft’s strict rules not to.

The images were provided to us via Twitter, which means that many users are freely taking images on their mobile phones without consent from Microsoft – naughty naughty.

It was always going to be hard for Microsoft to keep such a huge event under wraps though – don’t you think? As for the pictures, we get a great look at the sheer scale of the arena, and a peek at some Xbox 360 avatar-like characters on the display screens above.

The event is ongoing as we speak, and we’ll update you on any information that we hear. Enjoy the pictures and let us know your thoughts on the event.

Following on our earlier article which seemingly revealed the first image of the new Xbox 360 Slim console, as well as a final name for Project Natal, some new details have emerged showing a new price for Project Natal in Europe – it’s not cheap.

As reported from VG247, the device rumored to be called ‘Kinect’ was spotted on the Danish arm of UK retailer GAME. The retailer has the device up on their website and have slapped a 1.299,00 DKK price tag on it, which works out at around €175/£140 – which obviously isn’t as affordable as we all thought it would be.
No mention of U.S prices yet, but it doesn’t look good for those of you planning to pick this up in the UK. I mean how many of you would be happy to pay almost £150 for this? Seems way over-priced to me.

Hopefully, we’ll have more details for you soon – give us your reaction to the new pricing.

The event has been billed officially as the “World Premiere ‘Project Natal’ for the Xbox 360 Experience”. It will take place tonight ( Sunday 13th June) at 7PM PT at the Galen Center.

We have some great news for Xbox 360 owners in the UK now, as retailer GAME has revealed a solid date, for when they will start to take pre-orders for Project Natal.

As reported from VG247, pre-orders in the UK will begin on Sunday June 13th. When this date occurs, you will be able to pre-order the motion sensing device either in-store or online.

It is interesting to note that this is the exact date when Microsoft will be holding their special Project Natal event a day before E3 kicks off. We haven’t heard any news regarding pre-orders in the U.S, but you should expect retailers such as GameStop to follow a similar trend.

We still don’t know the price tag for the device, although it is rumored to be around $150, which translates to just over £100. We expect Microsoft to announce the price at the event, then pre-orders will be up on websites – but you should also expect a leak or two to happen prior to the event.

Will you pre-order on the 13th or not?

We have a treat right before the start of E3 2010 now, as Microsoft has given gamers a unexpected new tech demo showing of their Project Natal motion system at the recent D8 event.

As reported from 1up, Microsoft’s Molly O’Donnell was on hand at the All Things Digital event to give us one final look at Project Natal before their special pre-E3 event in two weeks time.

During the demo, we were able to get a look at one of Natal’s other mini games – a game which tested user’s reflexes as they try to use bodily movements to hit a ball back and forth on the screen.

The game looked rather fun and quite responsive too. It was especially nice to see Microsoft show a different Natal game other than Ricochet.

Take a look at the video below for yourself and give us your thoughts on it.

It seems as if the recent D8 event wasn’t just about the interview with Steve Jobs, as the event also revealed a close-up look at Microsoft’s Project Natal device too – we have some pictures to share with you.

The pictures come to us courtesy of Engadget, who were able to take a gallery of pictures of the device. The unit used is thought to be a developer sample, although Engadget are stating that this could also be a retail version.

Aside from showing us what the white model looks like, the pictures seem to suggest that the device is actually quite bulky and almost takes up the length of the Xbox 360 console when placed on top of it. Hopefully the final version that we see at E3 in a few weeks time will look a lot slicker than this unit.

Take a look at the pictures over at Engadget and let us know your thoughts on them – did you think the Project Natal unit was this big?

Whether this is good news or bad news, we’re not too sure. We have heard reports that Microsoft are planning to announce the final name for Project Natal as ‘Wave’ on the Xbox 360.

The news is according to this report from Nowgamer, who have obtained their info via a source ‘close to Microsoft’. The company are expected to announce the name change at their E3 press conference in June.

Has it sunk in yet? Wave on the Xbox 360 – does it have a nice ring to it or not? Personally, I prefer Natal. Don’t ask me why, but Wave just sounds too simple and crappy.

It is funny how Sony’s logo for Playstation Move looks more like a wave motion than anything else – what do you think?

Hopefully we can update you on this soon. Don’t forget, it is still a rumor at the moment.

We have some exciting news for Xbox 360 owners now, as it has been reported that Microsoft are set to announce the final name for Project Natal at their pre-E3 event in June.

As reported from VG247, the news is according to a new report from Edge, who also detailed the updated price and release date information that we already told you about earlier.

Do you really want a name change though? It seems to me that gamers have gotten used to Project Natal or just ‘Natal’ as the chosen name – so it will be a bit odd when we have to start calling the device by it’s new name.

If you want to find out, you’ll have to tune into the Natal Experience, which kicks off June 13 at 3.30pm EST. Let us know your thoughts on the name change. Any ideas?

With just weeks before the start of this year’s E3 event in Los Angeles, we have heard some more rumors regarding a price and release date for Microsoft’s Project Natal motion kit.

According to this report from Joystiq, Project Natal will retail at $150 for the standard kit, while a $300 price point has been set for Project Natal and the Xbox 360 Arcade console bundle.

Furthermore, Joystiq’s source states that Project Natal will land on October 26rd – which just so happens to be a Tuesday for those who are interested.

It seems as if those initial ‘$50-80′ price predictions are starting to look a bit sketchy. Would you be willing to pay $150 to take Project Natal home?

We’ll try and clarify this for you soon.

Following on from our previous article, which informed you about the potential $200 (£132) price point for the Project Natal software on the Xbox 360, Microsoft has issued a statement regarding the matter.

As reported from VG247, Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg has quickly played down the rumors, by saying that the details released yesterday were ‘pure speculation’.

In his full statement with PlanetXbox360, he had this to say on the pricing: “Our retail partners are not yet aware of details on pricing for “Project Natal” and pre-order placeholders are purely speculation. We will share price details with partners and the public as we get closer to launch.”

So, what do you make of that? Neither a confirmation or instant denial of the price. Remember how everyone thought it would come in at around $50? It seems like everyone might be in for a shock when pricing is finally confirmed.

Let us know your thoughts on this. Would you buy it at the above price point or not?
