We have some rather exciting news now for all you PlayStation 3 owners out there, as we’ve just received word that Sony is planning to bring a number of classic PlayStation Portable games to the PS3 as part of the company’s recently announced PSP Remaster Series.

According to a recent article by Anoop Gantayat over on the andriasang.com website, the games featured in the PSP Remaster Series will be updated with full high-definition visuals, and include 3D support, compatibility with the Dual Shock 3 controller, exclusive PS3 content and other features.

Both the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 3 versions of the game will also share save data. As Sony notes, this could enable gamers to start playing a game on the PSP while they are out and about, and continue playing it on the PS3 once they return home.

The PSP Remaster Series will initially kick off in Japan through the sales of Blu-ray disc titles. However, Sony’s statement does suggest that the series will also see an international release. It appears that some games will even be offered in downloadable form.

It looks like the very first title in the series has already been ousted as well. As the article notes, Capcom will be launching a PS3 version of the Monster Hunter Portable 3rd game under the name Monster Hunter Portable HD. It should be released sometime in the summer.

We have some really exciting news now for all you WWE fans out there, as THQ has just confirmed that they will indeed be releasing a demo for the much-anticipated WWE All Stars game. The demo is due to launch in the UK on March 22nd for Xbox 360 owners and March 23rd for PS3.

According to a recent article by Shubhankar Parijat over at gamingbolt.com, the upcoming demo will feature two characters from the WWE All Stars roster (which you can view in a previous article here), Rey Mysterio from the ‘Acrobat’ class and The Ultimate Warrior from the ‘Brawler’ class.

As Parijat notes, the ‘Brawler’ class is very ‘button-mash’ friendly, making The Ultimate Warrior the ideal character for casual players. The ‘Acrobat’ class on the other hand is more finesse orientated, making Rey Mysterio the perfect choice for hardcore fighting fans.

Although the demo features two-player local multiplayer, it unfortunately doesn’t feature online multiplayer. Because WWE All Stars spans across generations, parents will no doubt want to play the game with their children. The WWE All Stars game is due to arrive at the end May/beginning of June.

Are you pleased that there is a demo on the way? Who will you want to play as, Rey Mysterio or The Ultimate Warrior?

We’ve already brought you quite a bit of news on the Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII games, including PS3 screenshots, a PS3 trailer and an early hands-on review of the PS3 version of Final Fantasy XIII. We now have news of the upcoming PSP version.

According to Tom Pakinkis over at computerandvideogames.com, details for the new Final Fantasy Agito XIII game have made their way online recently, thanks to a little help from Square Enix director Hajime Tabata, who spoke about the forthcoming title on Twitter.

Tabata revealed that the Final Fantasy Agito XIII game will be based around a conflict involving four sides, and will feature 2 different sides of reality – the ordinary, and the extraordinary. He also revealed that battles will be fought not just with weapons, but with magic as well.

As reported by Spencer at siliconera.com, the developers will begin promoting the new PlayStation portable game next year. However, Tabata is encouraging fans to try out their other new title “The 3rd Birthday” while they are waiting for the release of Final Fantasy Agito XIII.

Are you looking forward to the Final Fantasy Agito XIII PSP game?
