It is fast getting to that time of year again where many of us will be looking to grab a bargain in the holiday sales. As the financial situation continues to be a struggle for many consumers we could see some really good deals being offered this time round. Retailers and manufacturers may have to offer big discounts to get people to part with their hard earned cash. Today we have news of some early PS3 bundles break cover ready for the holiday season.

Sony looks to be getting some tasty deals ready for the holiday season, and some images have been leaked of some boxes that were taken by a worker of some new console and gaming packages. Gimme Gimme Games are reporting that there is a new Mayhem bundle that comes with Killzone 3 and Resistance 3.

Another bundle that comes with the GOTY version of Little Big Planet 2, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, as well as thirty days of PlayStation Plus will be available for $250. There is also another bundle that features a 320GB PS3 with Uncharted 3, and again thirty days of PlayStation Plus is likely to cost consumers $299.

The site has images of the boxes that were taken by the worker so seem legit, but it is not known if these bundles will be available worldwide. They may have regional variations in the games bundled with the console, and expect more information to become available as the busy holiday season draws closer.

If you are looking to pick up a new PS3 for yourself or for a gift for someone you may be able to get a good deal.

We have some really exciting news now for those of you that own a copy of Media Molecule’s hugely popular puzzle-platformer game LittleBigPlanet 2 (commonly abbreviated to LBP2), as we’ve just discovered that the upcoming PlayStation Move Pack DLC – said to be LittleBigPlanet’s biggest downloadable content pack so far – has now been detailed.

As noted over on the littlebigplanet.com website, the much-anticipated LittleBigPlanet 2 Move Pack – which is due to be released on September 9th – features a brand new story mode known as The Rise of the Cakeling. The new mode will have players trying to restore peace to Craftworld, after a rogue cake threatens it with doom and destruction.

However, players will also be provided with a brand new tool to make things a little easier. The tool in question is the Brain Crane, a new power-up that enables players to control objects with the power of their mind. Thanks to a new suite of creative tools, players will be able to create their very own PlayStation Move-enabled games.

The new ‘The Rise of the Cakeling’ story mode will provide LittleBigPlanet 2 players with five new levels, 7 new mini-games and two new cut-scenes. The DLC also includes three new gadgets for use with the PlayStation Move controller: The Paint Tool, The Move Recorder and The Movinator, 8 music sequencer tracks and four interactive music tracks.

That’s not all either, as the upcoming downloadable content pack also contains 18 materials, a new sound object containing 32 brand new sounds, a new level background, seventeen new music sequencer instruments, 41 decorations, 13 objects, six brand new costumes, 66 stickers, 39 new LittleBigPlanet pins and eleven new PlayStation 3 trophies to unlock.

You can also view screenshots, imagery and concept art for the upcoming Move Pack over on the littlebigplanet.com website. We’ve also embedded a video below this post, so you can see what’s involved in the LittleBigPlanet 2 Move Pack DLC. There is now word on how much this DLC pack will cost at this stage, but we will keep you updated if we hear anything.

Will you be downloading the LittleBigPlanet 2 Move Pack?

While the Kinect for Xbox 360 and PlayStation Move are both motion controllers, they handle the task in very different ways and are both after the same market. Originally codenamed “Project Natal”, Microsoft’s jump into gaming that was made popular by Nintendo, includes an add-on peripheral in the style of a webcam. It’s the view of some gamers that Kinect is the most revolutionary controller thanks to the user not having to touch anything, although the PlayStation Move is capable of more advanced motion not possible on the Kinect, and this is thanks to the PS3’s Move having a physical controller.

Sony believes their Move hardware “changes everything”, and it’s their view that the hardware is a new platform, much more than just an accessory. So why is Xbox 360’s Kinect selling much more than the PS3 Move? Some people point to the selection of games on the Kinect as the selling point, while others talk about marketing spend.

We’ll have to agree that both motion controllers need more “killer” games, which are dedicated for the device, although some gamers want Sony and Microsoft to stop “wasting development resources”. This point of view is quite controversial, as hardcore gamers think of motion controllers as kid’s toys, but most of these people haven’t given the devices enough time or hands-on experience to really make an informed decision. Those behind the Move and Kinect would even ask for more money to be spent for better games.

Move gamers look forward to the experience improving given time, and more games like Killzone 3. Others titles pointed out to us from these people include The House of the Dead Overkill, GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, Bioshock Infinite, and Resistance 3.

Some people feel Move hasn’t been as successful, but state that Move has more games. This has been quickly disagreed by Kinect supporters, with some showing lists of games that apparently prove Kinect has the most games. The games list for Kinect includes titles such as Dance Central 1 and 2, Forza 4, The Biggest Loser: Ultimate Work Out, Adrenalin Misfits, Kinectimals, Zumba Fitness, Your Shape: Fitness Evolved, Sonic Free Riders, Fable: The journey, Michael Phelps: Push The Limit, Rise Of Nightmares, Michael Jackson: The Experience, Brunswick Pro Bowling, Kinect Star Wars, Your Party: In Motion, Child of Eden, and Dance Masters. It’s worth pointing out that not all these games are out on the Kinect yet, also some are plain boring.

Sony supporters point out that Move has just as many games, if you’re looking at “support” rather than “required”. The selling point for Move is its precision capabilities, this means a larger variety off genres is needed, especially RPGs. Could you imagine playing Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim with Move support, and if the game played a little like Sports Champions?

At the time of writing it looks like Kinect has the backing of more developers, and this is because it sells more than the Move. Do you expect this to change in the coming year, and what motion controller do you think has the best selection of games?

We have some pretty exciting news now for those of you that own a PlayStation 3 and enjoy dance-themed video games, as we’ve just discovered that the very first details and screenshots for the upcoming PS3 exclusive title ‘Everybody Dance’ have recently been revealed.

As noted by Shui Ta from examiner.com, the Everybody Dance game – which requires both the PlayStation Move controller and the PlayStation Eye camera in order to play – supports up to 20 players via its Party Play mode, and features a Dance Class tutorial, which helps players improve their skills.

The Everybody Dance game features forty tracks in total and although we don’t know the full song list at this stage, we do know that it will include hits such as OMG by Usher, Barbara Streisand by Duck Sauce and Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO. Each song will also feature its original music video.

If 40 tracks aren’t enough for you however, you’ll be pleased to know that more songs will become available to download from the PlayStation Network. The game features 3 difficulty levels (so anyone can jump in and play), as well as competitive Dance Battle and cooperative Partner Routine modes.

Players will also have the ability to record and playback their performances, as well as share them with fellow gamers around the world by uploading their videos to the everybodydancegame.com website and sending links to their Twitter and Facebook accounts.

You can read more about the Everybody Dance game via the examiner.com link. We’ve also ambedded a video for you below this post. Will you be buying this game?

We have some rather interesting news now for all you fitness and sports fanatics out there that own an Xbox 360 with a Kinect device or a PlayStation 3 with Move controllers, as both THQ and Adidas have just unveiled a new interactive athletic training system for the PS3 and Xbox 360 called miCoach.

As Dale North over at destructoid.com recently noted, the miCoach title provides users with training programs developed for a number of sports including soccer, tennis, running and basketball. Sports stars such as Dwight Howard, Tyson Gay and Ana Ivanovic have all signed to appear in the title as trainers.

The miCoach game enables players to choose their individual fitness goals, and then takes over to coach them along the way. Players will be displayed inside the game using Sony’s PlayStation Move camera for the PS3 or Microsoft’s Kinect sensor for the Xbox 360.

Sports stars will be seen exercising alongside the player, while the game keeps a track of the player’s progress. When speaking about his recording session that took place a few weeks back, Orlando Magic basketball star Dwight Howard said that he was hurting so much after that he had to go and get a massage.

Although we haven’t got news of a release date as of yet, we do know that the miCoach title should be arriving in the early part of 2012. Would you buy the miCoach interactive athletic training system for the Kinect / Move?

Have you ever fancied trying out a winter sport such as downhill skiing, paraskiing or perhaps snowmobiling? Well now it looks like you will be able to without even having to leave the comfort of your own living room, thanks to the recently unveiled motion-controlled Winter Stars video game.

According to James Newton over on the kinectaku.com website, the Winter Stars game – which will be published by Deep Silver – is due to arrive sometime later this year, and will be available for the Kinect for Xbox 360, the PlayStation Move for PS3 and the Nintendo Wii / Balance Board.

The game features 11 different sporting disciplines including curling, paraskiing, snowmobile, figure skating, biathlon, freeride skiing, snowboard cross, short-track, bobsled, downhill skiing and ski flying. The Winter Stars game provides players with a choice of both single player and multiplayer modes.

It also comes with a unique ‘Family Mode,’ which enables each participant to choose their own individual difficulty level. Meanwhile, the Winter Stars single-player story mode offers gamers a campaign full of variety, which enables them to experience all areas of an athlete’s career.

Players can use their earned experience points to either improve their skills or buy new equipment. Although we don’t have a specific release date at this stage, we do know that the Winter Stars game will be arriving sometime in the fourth quarter of this year.

Does the Winter Stars game sound like a title you would go and buy?

With Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 both set for Q4 2011 release dates we are excited to see what developers have up their sleeves to make their title better than their rival’s. Some of this is bound to be revealed next week at E3 2011, today we will look at whether people want to see PlayStation Move support offered by both titles.

Lots of hardcore PS3 first-person shooter gamers probably cannot imagine scrapping their PS3 controller in favor of a PlayStation Move Gun, however we have seen games like SOCOM 4 and Killzone 3 adopt such technologies and many say that Move support adds more realism to gaming and increased accuracy.

Obviously if both games do allow you to use PlayStation Move Guns it will be an option not a necessity, we think it will be very interesting to see if a correlation emerges which shows that PS3 Move Gun users have increased accuracy over standard controllers, if so we might see more and more gamers jump ship to Sony’s motion controller.

As mentioned earlier we will probably find out more about both of these games next week at E3 2011, therefore we will have to keep you posted, for now feel free to answer the poll question and share your thoughts in the comments section.

We have some rather interesting news now for all you PlayStation 3 owners out there that may be familiar with The House of the Dead: Overkill game, which was originally released as a Nintendo Wii exclusive, as we’ve just heard that the Wii game is now heading to the PS3.

According to Nathan Tsui at totalplaystation.com, Sega announced on Friday that the upcoming PlayStation 3 version of The House of the Dead: Overkill would not only come with high-definition graphics, but it would also feature PlayStation Move compatibility and 3D support.

The PlayStation 3 game – which has been titled The House of the Dead: Overkill – The Extended Cut – will provide PS3 gamers with the original content from the Nintendo Wii version, as well as extra bonus content. This is said to include re-mastered versions of the original 7 stages.

That isn’t all either, as the ‘Extended Cut’ also adds 2 brand new scenarios to the gruesome shooter. As noted over on blog.sega.com, players will also have access to new game modes and PlayStation trophies. The game itself is due to arrive on October 25th in the US and October 28th in Europe.

Would you play The House of the Dead: Overkill on your PlayStation 3?

Well now it looks like you will be able to (sort of) thanks to Champion Jockey: G1 Jockey & Gallop Racer, a new game that’s just been announced for the PlayStation Move for PS3, the Kinect for Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii.

According to an article on the electronictheatre.co.uk website, Tecmo Koei Europe has recently announced that the Champion Jockey game will be released across Europe sometime in September this year. However it looks like keen gamers will be able to test the game out a little sooner.

The Champion Jockey: G1 Jockey & Gallop Racer game will be playable at both the London MCM Expo that is taking place this weekend, and the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) at the beginning of June. The game uses the motion control capabilities of each system, to simulate the jockey experience.

Gamers will learn exactly how to use the horse’s whip and reins, as well as how to shift their body weight to ride their horse to victory. However, to truly master the Champion Jockey game, players have to understand the thoroughbred’s unique rhythm, its stamina, potential and preferred racing style.

The game also features live jockey rankings and online multiplayer races. There will also be a range of downloadable content available to players in the future. Do you like the idea of a horse racing game for the Xbox 360 Kinect and PlayStation Move?

If you own a PlayStation 3 and you’re looking forward to the upcoming release of the WSC (World Snooker Championship) Real 11 game this coming Friday, I think we have news that could be of interest to you. Dark Energy Digital has recently confirmed that the game will feature Move support.

According to a recent article by James Newton over on the movemodo.com website, the PlayStation Move support will be available as a day one downloadable patch. The new ‘Real Cue Action’ feature will enable users to use precision aim functionality in order to line up their shots.

The WSC Real 11 game – which will also be available for the Xbox 360 – will also come with other new features including 100% pixel-perfect ball physics, a rewind system that enables players to retake any shot, re-designed pick up and play controls, a time-control replay system and online tournaments.

As Rainier over at worthplaying.com recently noted, the WSC Real 11 game will feature all the official tournaments of the 2010/2011 snooker seasons, as well as all the top players. As some of you may already know, three-time World Champion Ronnie O’Sullivan is the cover star of WSC Real 11.

Are you looking forward to the WSC Real 11 game?
