LG have been using the IFA for lots of their new product announcements, and of course they couldn’t resist refreshing our memories on the latest plasma screen from LG the PG7000.
Already announced this year and thought to be released in July, LG decided to give us a bit more information, the look of this TV being slick and sleek, it actually looks more like a sheet of dark tinted glass than a TV.
You can purchase the TV in two sizes either a 50 inch or 60 inch, it has a 1080p full HD panel that has a colour depth of 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. So if you want your blacks to look black rather than dark grey then this is the TV for you.
If you want to watch the TV for more extended periods and be comfortable in doing so, then you can as this plasma features a 100Hz refresh rate and .001ms response time, meaning the TV can keep up with fast moving games, movies and sport with no blur. These features also eliminate flicker, so your eyes will feel better and not so strained.
You can chose between different AV modes on the LG, allowing you to chose a specific mode for what you are watching, for example movies or games, the LG will adjust to give you the best viewing experience possible.
You can connect several devices to your TV, including Bluetooth connectivity, USB and a memory card reader - completely plug and play. Four HDMI 1.3 ports also provide enough connections for a number of high-definition sources.
You also get LG’s Voice technology is included as standard on the PG7000, which basically modifies the sound balance to emphasise human voices and cut through the background noise. We are still waiting for the full spec and pricing information, but as always we will keep you informed as and when we receive it.
