Photosynth: turn you photos into a 3D wonderland

There is no denying that technology is moving faster than ever, it wasn’t that long ago we could only get a snap shot of an image, then came video, digital images and of course photo manipulation software, but nothing quite like this, Photosynth is a new service available from photosynth.com that will certainly change the way anyone see’s and shares there photos.

How do you fancy reliving a vacation or maybe going back and looking at that landmark or historical place you visited? And how about doing it all in a three-dimensional, 360-degree experience? So here is how it works, you take a regular shots from your digital camera, upload them to Synth, take your imagination, creativity and Synth will do the rest creating an entirely new visual medium. If anyone sees your synth you have basically given them your shoes, let them share your experience, this kind of image is impossible to achieve in conventional photo’s or video, the clarity, scope and detail is second to none.

Photosynth anaylzes each photo for similarities to the others, then it amazingly uses this data to build a model of where the photos were taken. It will then create a canvas for you to display your photo by re-creating the environment. It’s like just walking into a 3D dimensional photo or video game of your own experiences.
