Pete Doherty has been jailed for 14 weeks
Pete Doherty has been jailed for 14 weeks for breaching the terms of his probation. Last year Pete was jailed for 14 months for possessing class A drugs but the sentence was suspended in the hope that he would change his ways. Yesterday the courts finally sent Pete to prison.

Adrian Hunter who is Pete’s manager said that there were many reasons for his sentence yesterday including the fact the singer/songwriter was often late for probation hearings.

Now the question is will he serve the whole sentence or will he be let out in time for the Glastonbury Festival in June?

Do you think that he should serve all 14 weeks?

Pete Doherty to write musical with Carl Barat
It has been reported that Pete Doherty is reuniting with his former Libertines band mate Carl Barat to write a musical for a well-known London theatre.

Producers at London’s highbrow Donmar Ware house have commissioned the indie duo to write a rock musical to coax younger folk down to the theatre.

The singer, now frontman with Dir ty Pretty Things said that “A producer from the theatre approached me through my record label. So I went down there to see a play and we met up for a chat. He asked me if I was still in contact with Pete and whether we would be interested in writing a musical together for The Donmar for the early part of 2009. I asked Pete and he loves the idea. He has invited me to Wiltshire this week to start writing it. But first we have to sit down and think about the rock and roll story.”

What do you think of the idea?
