If you own a Windows Phone 7 handset and happen to be a fan of the Pro Evolution Soccer football game series, then we may have good news to bring you. Not only is the PES 2011 game available on a number of consoles and the iOS / Android platforms, but the game has now arrived on WP7.

As Steve McCaskill over on the pocketgamer.co.uk website recently noted, the Konami-developed game – which is now available to download for £3.99 / $4.99 – promises the most advanced player and team AI compared to all its rival football games, as well as unrivalled graphics and realism.

Thanks to its Trueflow control system, the Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 game will cater for gamers of all standards. The Trueflow control system uses the phone’s accelerometer to aid beginners, while more advanced gamers are given complete freedom.

The game – which as you know includes classic teams such as England, Brazil, Argentina, Italy, Netherlands, Germany and France – also comes with Xbox Live achievements. It even comes with online leaderboards, enabling players to show off their skills to their mates.

Are you a fan of the Pro Evolution Soccer games? If so, do you own the PES 2011 game on more than one platform?

For those of you who are still playing with squads from the beginning of the 2010-2011 season of Pro Evolution Soccer 2011, you are about to be treated to a free DLC from Konami that includes all the latest transfers, manager replacements, and squad adjustments as well as some new kits and boot styles.

Amongst the new additions, BG247 says that you will find new kits for Spain and Sweden as well as 10 new boot styles that come from major brands who contribute to PES 2011.

To go with the new datapack, which is now labelled as version 3, two new screenshots have appeared on IGN. You can see both of these below.

Since PES 2011′s launch in October 2010, updates have been very frequent and have included updates to kits, and boots such as the Nike CTR360 “Control”, Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly II “Speed”, Nike T90 Laser III “Accuracy”, and Nike Tiempo “Touch”.

The downloadable content is set to be released on March 15 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Of all the updates so far, do you think that PES 2011 is still lacking in certain areas? If there was anything you would like to add to the game, what would it be? Maybe you are a straight-up FIFA player instead, but why?

With the arrival of the Nintendo 3DS looming, so are many great titles that will accompany the release, one of which is Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D, the successfull soccer series has shot its way onto the 3D market, but will it make a big impact on the new console?

According to VG247 the release date has been set in line with the 3DS’ European release date on March 25, the Nintendo 3DS arrives in America on 27 March. Some people say that the 3D capabilities will add depth and realism to the game, hopefully it will the game a more crisp feel when driving the ball from one end of the pitch to the other.

There is no word yet from the guys over at EA who create FIFA soccer games however. We do not know if they will compete with the PES series (as has been the case for many years), however FIFA fans would undoubtedly welcome a 3D version of the game.

Over the past few years it may seem that FIFA is the stronger of the two sides however that does not cut Pro Evo out of the game just yet. Pro Evo will benefit greatly from getting in the market quicker and as the FIFA games normally arrive towards the later period of the year, it will give PES a longer time to get ahead of its rival and really make a good start on sales.

Will you be buying your copy or will you wait for the next FIFA instalment?

Konami has finally released PSE 2011 – which has already been getting some positive reviews – and already a DLC is due for release on October 12th. Releasing an update just four days after the new Pro Evolution Soccer game will keep those Xbox 360, PS3 and PC gamers very happy – but what will this download offer?

The first thing that you need to know is that all teams will now have the most up-to-date rosters, meaning that all those summer signings will now show up for each team. That is not the only update from the first patch, there are also updates to kits – and we all know how often they change.

According to Ben Parfitt from MCV, another much-needed update is to the groupings from the Champions League, as well as four more teams being licensed to the game, which will certainly be a welcome addition to fans of the sport and the game.

This best news of all is that this downloadable content will be free, so you had better be ready on Tuesday to download. What other features would you like to see updated?

FIFA 11 release date battle, and the FIFA 11 PS3 gameplay video that showed you some advanced defence tactics, but now it’s time for some real gaming yourself with the demo downloads.

Although the PES 2011 and FIFA 11 video games are not due to be released until next month, FIFA 11 on the 1st, followed by Pro Evolution 2011 a week later, fans can still try out both games via the recently released demos from PSN store and Xbox Live.

When you have downloaded your Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 demo, you can test your skills and play as either Bayern Munich or Barcelona. The FIFA 11 demo allows you to play at many places including the Bernabeu as either the Barcelona or Chelsea team in two 3-minute halves. You also get additional gameplay options such as a new Personality+ feature.

What demo have you downloaded and tried your skills on? Was it PES Pro Evolution 2011 or FIFA 11? Maybe you even downloaded both, if so which one of them was your favorite?

The FIFA versus Pro Evolution Soccer battle has been around for some while, but with Konami announcing the European release dates for it’s next football sim — PES 2011 — the game will go head to head with FIFA by being released just one day before EA’s FIFA 11.

According to Konami, PES 2011 will go on sale in Europe on September 30, which is just one day before EA Sports release their PS3, 360, Wii, DS, PSP and PS2 versions of FIFA 11.

For some other reason, the UK will have to wait until October 8 for a PES 2011 release that is scheduled to come out for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

PS2, PSP and Wii gamers who are interesting in purchasing will have to wait until an unspecified date that will come along sometime in October.

So the question is, who will win the game? FIFA or PES? Guess we will have to wait until kick-off time to find out. Which one will you buy?

We have a treat for football fans across the world now, as just days before the kick off to the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, Konami has released some new images and a new video for Pro Evolution Soccer 2011.

As reported from VG247, the game is due out on multi-platform this fall and the new screenshots have come to us courtesy of All Games Beta.

The game is looking pretty good – although we said that about last year’s affair, and we all know how that turned out. Hopefully PES 2011 will leapfrog EA’s FIFA 2011 as the big daddy on home consoles this time around.

Check out the screenshots through the link, there is a video below showing some gameplay from the PC version.
