This is the Palm Treo Pro, which was formally known as the Treo 850, and today we have some images that show the real Treo Pro.

It’s becoming a common mistake for companies to upload images of devices that aren’t meant to be seen by the public yet. Palm is the latest company to do this, and have leaked details of the Treo Pro.

Mistakes like this are corrected very fast, but with millions of us on the web its very easy for someone to see the product before its removed.

We have heard before of leaked images when it comes to the Palm Treo 850, but now a forum member on WMExperts has shown the world the device known as Treo Pro.

What we know is that the Palm Treo Pro will feature WinMo 6.1 out of the box, a MicroSD expansion slot, a Ringer Switch, Touchscreen, a Micro USB connection and WiFi.

Samsung Instinct: More flair than BlackBerry, Palm or Windows Mobile phones

Samsung Instinct More flair
Some people might be wondering why the Samsung Instinct has been so popular to the extent that its sold out in many places and while it lacks many features of the iPhone or iPhone 3G, it is still selling out. There could be a few reasons for this including the simple Sprint pricing plans that all feature unlimited Internet use, a navigation assistance, text/picture/video messaging and Sprint’s online video and music feeds.

This leaves you with one choice to make when choosing a Sprint price plan and that’s how many weekday minutes to buy. You options are $99.99 for unlimited calls, $89.99 for 900 minutes and $69.99 a month gets you 450 minutes. The other reason Sprint’s Samsung Instinct is so popular could be that the iPhone is tied in the United States to just AT&T and if your cannot receive good coverage with them at home or the office, you would look elsewhere.

When we look at the Apple iPhones features then overall they crush the Samsung Instinct, one I will highlight is the lack of being able to add software of your own on the Instinct, you then cannot make the phone anymore intelligent. The iPhone on the other hand can be expanded with many third party applications and this phone will continue to get more intelligent even without the 3G iPhone upgrade.

The Samsung Instinct can be the right phone for you when its entertainment your looking for and not productivity, we all leave in a world where we have a massive love for music and videos, this is another reason the Sprint Instinct shines. When it comes to style, you can be assured that the Sprint Instinct has more flair than a BlackBerry, Palm or Windows Mobile cell phone.

What do you want more from your cell phone, productivity or entertainment?

Apple 3G iPhone to increase sales of Palm and RIM BlackBerry smartphones

June 9, 2008 by Daniel
Filed under Cell Phone Information, Cell Phones

You could easily think that the immediate launch of the 3G iPhone would mean that other major phone brands like Palm and RIM BlackBerry would see a decline in sales, this looks to be the complete opposite. After the iPhone was first released the sales of the BlackBerry smartphone increased by 38 percent over the following year.

While many brands and product review sites try and claim different phones as “iPhone Killers”, it seems that Apple’s device increases sales of similar phones. This may be down to all the increased awareness of next generation phones and as the iPhone brings millions of phone users looking for information, some users look for alternatives to the iPhone.

With 1.2 billion cellphones out there and the phone companies saying we have not even scratched the surface, I think we have room for a few more models to get buyers. Palm and BlackBerry are surely rubbing their hands right now and thinking of all the extra sales the iPhone will help bring them…the phone business has never been so good, especially when some users want Windows phones and not Mac based phones.

The second version of iPhone could be the one that many buyers have been holding out for, iPhone 2 is expected to be cheaper, slicker and boast many more features like carrier subsidies, Exchange support, fast 3G networking, a better camera and maybe even GPS. In around nine hours we will hear Steve Jobs keynote speech at the annual Worldwide Developer’s Conference and this is what millions are waiting for, what will Steve give us this year?

Survey reveals BlackBerry on top of Palm: 73 percent choose RIM

palm-survey
Oh it seems that things are on a downward slope for Palm according to a survey, PALM were the ones that began the smartphone revolution and we know that and with bringing in a new range of stunning corporate handsets for fleets, but it now seems that their market share has plummeted thanks to enterprise competitor Research In Motion (RIM) and their BlackBerry cell phones.

The best and lucrative cell for the corporate customer base is the Palm Treo and of course is a status symbol amongst the business suits and this is what makes the latest survey from Change Wave extremely disturbing.

The Change Wave has given a number of RIM BlackBerry and Palm handsets, they have not disclosed their research methods that corporations use in their workforce, and so what does this mean? Well the research actually gives the bigger picture that the corporate sector has indeed been purchasing larger quantities of BlackBerry smartphones while Palm’s share continued to slip away.

Palm saw their enterprise smartphones take 28% of those companies surveyed in February 07 and a year later Palm has shrunk to 18% which is pretty bad on the scale of things, 59% of companies chose RIM BlackBerry cell phones and a staggering % choosing the BlackBerry in February 08.
