Matsushita 40-inch OEL TV coming by 2011

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co has said that they hope to be selling a 40-inch OEL (organic electroluminescent) televisions by 2011
OEL technology is thought to be the most promising technology for the next-gen TV’s as it offers a higher quality than plasma or LCD screens.
Matsushita are investing a few dozen billion yen, the electronics giant plan the build a prototype production line for 20-inch OEL panels and larger, they hope to start operation in the spring.
The company also plans to double the amount of staff who is involved in the development of the larger OEL TV, to around 200.
The OEL panel production line will be set up at their LCD panel plant, which Matsushita are opening in 2010 in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture.
Matsushita is thought to be investing around 100 billion yen ($930.4 million), for their OEL panel mass production facility.
