The Nvidia GeForce GTX 570 was recently announced and is the next edition to the GTX 500 series graphics cards. If you love your games and do not have a huge budget, then this model is for you. All the major card partners will have their version of the card, so it will be down to which of those can make the best tweaks to get he most from it.

The GTX 570 has a lot of competition from rival products, but this card is said to have a speed increase of 128% when running with Direct X 11. Reviews have already started to appear, so let us see how well the card does.

HardwareCanucks points to the fact that NVIDIA are not content with having the 580 high-end market sewn up, so thought they would do the same with another price point as well. This review picks up on the fact that the GTX 570 is around 25 percent faster than that if the 470. Read the full review here.

One of the most extensive reviews comes from Tom’s Hardware, which consists of 15 pages. Trying to points out some of the key facts from this review is hard, but in short it is a much better option than the 480, as it is faster and a more affordable option. The full review can be read here.

HotHardware has a 12-page review and is one of the most informative, as it looks at how well the Nvidia GeForce GTX 570 performs running a few graphic hungry games, such as HAWX and Quake Wars. HotHardware seems to have some varying results with the 570 compared to the 480, saying that performance of each card depends on which game was played. They loved how quiet and fast the card was but did not like how power-hungry and how hot it got. Full review here.

So there you have, three reviews with varying results, now you have the tough choice to make. Will you be buying the Nvidia GeForce GTX 570?

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 Review Round-Up

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 has been in the making for some time now, so is finally nice to see the details on the fastest GPU. The specs were something else, and will force you to put this beauty inside your machine. You can read details on specs over on Engadget.

However, reading all those specs is all well and good, but it is the benchmark test that will appeal to the gamer more. Engadget has been looking at some of the best reviews available, so thought that they would offer a review round-up.

A brief look over the reviews shows that they all have one thing in common, and that is how much of a performance increase it has over the NVIDIA GTX 480. However, one thing they cannot agree on is how much increase it is, they range from 10 to 30 percent.

One would presume that these performance figures differ depending on what game you are playing. Choose which review you would rather read: HardOCP, Tech Report, Legit Reviews, Bit-tech, PC Perspective and finally Hot Hardware.

The Nvidia GeForce GTX 480 is a little late to the DirectX 11 graphics card, party, as ATI has had one for a while now – so how will this latest GPU fair? One thing is certain, this is a beast and has so much to offer, but we worry that current games are not ready for all the power that the 480 offers.

This new card from Nvidia is based on the Fermi architecture, so what can this video card with its 3 billion transistors and twice the amount of processing units as the previous version offer?

The GTX 480 has clock speeds of 1401MHz and 700MHz on the core, the GDDR5 memory runs at 924MHz. There are four GPU clusters housed in this unit along with 60 Texture units and 15 streaming multiprocessors – so we know that Nvidia mean business.

Overclockers Club thought that this card needed a closer look, which is why they have an extensive review and have even tested it on a few of the best selling games, such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare2, Far Cry 2, Batman Arkham Asylum and a few more.
