This new firmware version brings updates to many Ovi components, such as updated versions of Ovi Store, Ovi Music, Ovi Sync and Ovi Contacts.

These days handset’s browsers are very important, therefore you will be glad to hear that the X6′s browser has been updated to version 7.2, full details are not known, however it will apparently provide a better and faster web browsing experience, not just this but it should also be more secure.

Other updates include a more polished kinetic scrolling system, improved Mail and Exchange support and a 30 day free trial of Shazam.

If you are keen to update your X6 ensure you back up all data beforehand just in case, you can then download it through the Ovi service or over-the-air.

We first announced that Nokia were to release a cheaper version of this handset way back in the middle of last year, seems as though we were right.
