Some of you might be thinking that the recent article by the WSJ on the Verizon iPhone’s release in early 2011 was the biggest news of today, but we think otherwise. We have also heard that the new iPhone 5 is coming, but with a different form factor.

We briefly told you about this in our previous report here, but now we want to get your ideas on board. Firstly, have another read of this quote from the Wall Street Journal to refresh your memory:

”Separately, Apple is also developing a new iPhone model, said people briefed on the phone. One person familiar said the fifth-generation iPhone would be a different form factor than those that are currently available”

To put that in simpler terms, Apple are thinking of altering the iPhone 4 design for the iPhone 5. However, If Apple are seriously thinking about changing the current and winning formula of the iPhone 4, then they are definitely going to have to come up with something good.

We don’t have any doubts that they won’t though, since we’re sure Apple know what they are doing, but what could they possibly do to make the design any better? Well the location of the antenna is a good starting point, and as long as it has that slick Apple feel to it, we’re sure it will be a hit with consumers.

Do you have any ideas on the iPhone 5 design already? Slide-out QWERTY? Dual-display screens? A clam-shell design? The possibilities are endless.

Let’s hear your best ones and we’ll post them on the website if we get some really good ones.

We have some exciting news for those looking forward to the next-generation iPhone device, as following on from the big news about the Verizon iPhone today, we have also heard fresh details on the iPhone 5.

In the same article published about the plans for Apple to release a CDMA-version of the iPhone 4 for Verizon, the Wall Street Journal has also said that Apple are already developing a new, separate device – likely to be known as the iPhone 5.

Interestingly, their report adds that the iPhone 5 will come with a ‘different form factor’, meaning that the design and shape of the device will not look the same as the current iPhone 4 model, according to their sources.

No carriers are confirmed yet for the iPhone 5, but if the standard iPhone 4 is on it’s way to Verizon in early 2011, then it is very likely that the iPhone 5 would be available as well.

What are your thoughts on this? Would you like to see a completely different design for the iPhone?
