There are apps for mobile platforms which help fans get even more from the tournament.

Neal J Leitereg from HULIQ has rounded up a whole host of applications for the tournament which include ones that have live streaming for every game. NCAA March Madness On Demand is available for owners of the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch and is a free app. This has live-streaming for every game and also includes features for connecting to Facebook and Twitter.

NCAA March Madness Fan Zone is also a free application which is available for Android and iOS users. This application gives real-time updates including scores and news, and fans can also chat and have fun with friends using the integration for sites like Facebook and Twitter.

College Basketball Live! is an application for owners of iOS devices and is again free. This will provide all the latest scores, standings, schedules, news, and bracket information. There is also live play-by-play of all the games in the tournament.

Bracket Tracker for Android users offers a simple design and full NCAA Men’s Division 1 tournament coverage. Users can enter multiple brackets and compete against friends and is available free of charge.

All apps can be found on the App Store or Android Market.

Sharp’s latest and greatest 3D TVs are all part of the AQUOS Quattron LE835 series, these feature Quad Pixel Technology, which is said to be industry changing as it adds yellow to the more traditional RGB colors which most other television use, this technology is said to allow Quattron TVs to display more than a trillion colors.

Other impressive features and specs include its 240Hz AquaMotion display, Spacious 3D sound, Vyper Dive game mode, Netflix, CinemaNow and Vudu streaming capabilities, WiFi, Ethernet and impressive 8,000,000:1 contrast ratio, one other neat touch is its unique 3D-2D mode conversion button.

At the moment we know of four models which are part of this series, these are the 60-inch LC-60LE835U, the 52-inch LC-52LE835U, the 46-inch LC-46LE835U and the 40-inch LC-40LE835U, you can find out more about each model by clicking on its model number.

Currently Amazon want $2,799.99 for the 60-inch model here, $2,099.99 for the 52-inch model here and $1,599.99 for the 40-inch model here, they do not seem to have the 46-inch model listed.

As reported from Mobil3Generation, the app for Android is called PocketBracket and has been designed by Pure Concepts.

It allows you to keep up to date with all the March Madness NCAA results where ever you are in the world. The best thing about the app, is that it comes pre-loaded with 2009 tournament data – meaning that once the data for this year is available on Selection Sunday, you can customize your own NCAA bracket on your Android phone.
