The new Creative ZEN Mozaic music and video player was spotted last month and is finally on sale. There are three capacity versions to this player, 2GB, 4GB or 8GB.
The new Zen player sports a mosaic keypad; this one of a kind design makes the player stand out from all those other plan music and video players on the market.

What makes the Creative ZEN Mozaic Player different to many of the other music and video players on the market is the addition of a built-in speaker; this means that you are able to share your music with others.

It is no secret that Dell wants to move into the personal media player business, this could be as early as September. Dell hopes that they will then be able to do battle with the likes of the Apple iPod. The Wall Street Journal newspaper cited many Dell officials by saying, Dell has been testing a digital music player and that it could go on sale as early as September.
Dell have a mountain to climb if they wish to topple iPods dominance in the media player market, many players from companies such as Microsoft and Sony have tried and failed.
The music player that Dell has been testing is said to have a small navigation screen, as well as basic button controls so that you can navigate through the music list.
The Wall Street Journal also reports that the Dell player will be able to connect online through a Wi-Fi connection. The price of the Player is likely to be in the region of $100, that around £50.
Let us hope that Dell do a better job that their last effort back in 2003. The DJ Ditty player was a huge disappointment, as it failed to impress the market.

Over in the UK or the US we do not get to see many new Philips handsets on the market, and one of those reasons is because Philips are now concentrating on the Chinese market. The reason that China loves Philips new range of cell phones is because the Xenium 9@9 long battery life series. However the electronics maker has a new cell in the form of the Philips M600 which features SRS WOW Technology, the company hope that they are able to target music lovers.
SRS WOW as you know features in a host of other products, I have it on my laptop as well as my TV and adds greater sound quality as well as surround sound capabilities without the need for extra speakers. SRS WOW Technology is also meant to restore spatial cues that sometimes get lost while playing music through small speakers. As you can see the new Philips M600 is a much more stylish handset from Philips with its candy bar design. The handset has MP3 quick keys so you are able to access the MP3 player quickly with just one click.
For now it looks as though it is only China who will be getting their hands on the new Philips M600, but maybe later this year other countries will get to have the handset. The Philips M600 comes with a 2-inch TFT screen and has 256k colors, as well as a 1.3 megapixel camera. As the phone is designed for music lovers, there are Classical, Pop, Rock and SRS WOW equalizer settings.
The phone has a music playback time of up to 40 hours on just one charge.

Bad news if you guys who live in the UK and was waiting for the release of the new Microsoft Zune. It seems as if these MP3 players will not be launched until sometime in 2009. Many in the industry assumed that the Zune would be with us this year, maybe it has something to do with the bad start to the year that Microsoft is having.
The second generation of the Zune player was launched both in the U.S. and Canada back in November 2007. Microsoft have not gave an answer as to why they have delayed the release of the new Zune, so you will have to make do with something better for now, an iPod.
