Now that we know that the next Call of Duty game will be called Modern Warfare 3 we are starting to find out more and more about the upcoming title, recently we told you everything we know about the game so far, now we have some interesting information regarding the game’s arsenal of weaponry.

We recently checked out a thread on the ModernWarfare3Forum which features lots of leaked screens from the upcoming game, here we managed to see lots of guns, some of which are updated versions of guns we could use in MW2.

If you click on the links you can see pictures of them, guns which are coming to MW3 include the new MP5, ACR, AK47, Striker, SCAR (Light) and Model 1887 Shotgun other weapons you get to see include the MP412 Russian Pistol, P99 Pistol, M320 Grenade Launcher, AA12 Shotgun, KSG Shotgun, M4, G-36 and the FMG (Foldable Machine Gun).

The AK47 and ACR were great assault rifles last time round, therefore we are happy to see them both in MW3, one gun which people thought was overly affective in MW2 was the UMP45, so far we have seen no sign of this, which could mean that it is not making a return.

Check out the link in the second paragraph for more information regarding the game’s guns, once you’ve had a look come back and tell us what guns are missing and whether you like the new designs (we have embedded a couple of images below).

Following on from the Moscow Airport bombing tragedy which occured earlier this week, a Russian news channel has made a controversial link to Activision’s popular online shooter Modern Warfare 2, in which an terrorist style, airport scene occurs.

We wouldn’t usually comment on things like this, but we know you’ll want to have your say on this, particularly since the airport scene featured in Modern Warfare 2 came under criticism in the first place.

Is it really fair though to compare a real-life situation with a video game? Because in reality, it is just that – a game. Yes, gamers are given the option to gun down civilians in a barbaric fashion during the game, but that doesn’t mean that what occured earlier this week at the Moscow airport is in any way influenced by Modern Warfare 2.

Activision are yet to respond to the report by Russia Today, but we have a feeling they’ll be making their thoughts heard soon. The report even suggests that terrorist groups use Modern Warfare 2 to ‘train’, which again is a pretty bold statement. Watch the video below for yourself, and let us know your views on the situation.

Should Modern Warfare 2 take part of the blame for this or not?

Last year Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 broke sales records, now we are hearing that Black Ops has outdone MW2′s impressive day-one sales figures.

Exact figures are not clear, however Activision‘s “internal estimates” suggest that 5.6 million copies were shifted by Novemember 9th (taking into account pre-orders), last year in the same time-frame 4.7 million copies of MW2 were shifted upon the game’s release date.

At the moment exact figures have not been revealed, however I am sure that Activision’s estimates are not too far away, I would love to see how many of these 5.6 million people are entirely happy with Black Ops.

I’m sure that this trend will continue each year, despite Black Ops not being perfect it is still a great game and should keep me busy, however I can’t help but look forward to see what the next game in the series does to better it.

Will you buy the next fame in the franchise? Or has Black Ops put you off?

Earlier today we posted an article showing off the Kowloon mission from Call of Duty: Black Ops, now we have another video for you, this time showing a jungle mutliplayer map from the upcoming game.

We have embedded the video at the end of this post, I think you will agree that this map will become a popular one for Black Ops gamers, it offers a wide-range of play spaces, from sniper outposts to temples.

For me the most exciting thing about this map is its different levels, rather than all being at the same height there are perches and outposts, Treyarch say that this will give the map plenty of verticality, which was something we didn’t see too much of in MW2.

Check out the video below and let us know what you make of the jungle map, do you think that this will be one of your favorites?

Ok, so EA has just put up a new gameplay video of Medal Of Honor onto the US Playstation Store. The first thing that came to mind when I watched...

Ok, so EA has just put up a new gameplay video of Medal Of Honor onto the US Playstation Store. The first thing that came to mind when I watched it, was how similar it was to Modern Warfare 2, this is coming from a Battlefield: Bad Company 2 player.

While I know that I’ll probably get pages of comments on how Medal of Honor differs to Modern Warfare 2, I still think that both games look very alike, especially to the average gamer who just wants to play the newest FPS game that comes out.

Take the latest video for example. Ok, so there are obvious changes in the sound effects between the two games. But just like MW2, you’ll see the map layout in the top left corner, and your ammo and other details in the bottom right.

You may say that this is the standard format for all FPS games, but they have even copied the predator missile killstreak from the game. Take a look at the shots below to see how similar they are – you can see it on video at 0.47 below.

Let me reiterate one thing, I do play Battlefield: Bad Company 2 a lot, I know that DICE are making Medal of Honor and that both games are meant to be very different. I remember reading about how BFBC2 and Medal of Honor were so alike, but I think Medal of Honor is the one that stands out the most.

That may not be a bad thing anyway. Modern Warfare 2 is great fun for most, and they’ll probably see it as a similar game but with different maps. Have I got this completely wrong or do you think both games look similar too?

For that reason, I doubt I’ll be getting Medal of Honor, but I might get tempted closer to release, you never know. The video in question is below, have a look for yourself and let us know what you think.

Today is a huge day for both gamers and Apple fans, this is because the official Call of Duty: Black Ops multiplayer reveal takes place, also an Apple event takes place where many believe they will unveil the new iPod Touch.

It is thought that Treyarch’s multiplayer reveal for Black Ops will be huge, their community manager has previously stated that the 250 developers working on the game are going to make this reveal ‘shocking’, let’s just hope it is shocking in a great way.

As usual Apple has kept quiet about what they will reveal at today’s event, however many believe that they will unveil the new 4th generation iPod Touch, which will almost certainly feature a rear facing camera.

We thought we would see what our readers were more excited about, the Apple event, or the Black Ops event, feel free to answer the poll question below so we can collect some feedback, also feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section.

Later today the multiplayer reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops will take place, therefore we thought we would ask our readers what they do and do not want to...

Later today the multiplayer reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops will take place, therefore we thought we would ask our readers what they do and do not want to see.

Let’s start with the things people probably will not want to see, juggernaut has always been unpopular, therefore there will undoubtedly be many readers out there hoping that it will not be a perk option in Black Ops.

My two biggest hates in MW2 are long range handgun kills and the combination of marathon / lightweight / commando and tactical knife. I have seen people get extremely long range kills with the Magnum, despite its low accuracy stats, also I have been stabbed so many times by people that move faster than Usain Bolt.

I would love to see some sort of distance covered stat when you finish game, this should end the endless camping arguments, perhaps Black Ops could give you a higher score multiplier for the more distance you cover.

In my opinion claymore mines are not affective enough in MW2, once you have mastered them they are great, however when compared to bouncing betty mines used in World at War they are far less effective, surely modern weaponry should be more effective than older kit.

Nube tubing is in my opinion a big problem in MW2, therefore I would like to see Black Ops perhaps take some sort of action against it, perhaps only allow you to nube after 15 seconds from spawning, or just make nubes less accurate.

In some Ghost Recon games you were able to put markers on the map for other players on your team to see, I would love to see something like this in Black Ops, as quickly describing the location of an enemy can be difficult.

Feel free to add your own ideas to the Black Ops wishlist, remember we are only talking about the multiplayer game modes, not the campaign, or co-op modes.

We all know how popular COD Modern Warfare 2 is, but it has officially been named as the best-selling game in UK history, beating the previous holder Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training.

According to stats and figures from Gfk Chart-Track, MW2 only took 41 weeks to overtake Brain Training, where as the Nintendo title took 32 months to overtake previous holder GTA: San Andreas.

COD MW2 has been dogged with controversy since its release. Glitches, mods, hacks and cracks have appeared all over the internet for all platforms, and some even turned their noses up when you play the part of an undercover agent taking part in a ‘terrorist’ airport massacre.

But as we can see, head shots, multiplayer action and controversy are the formula to making a great and popular game. Wonder why Medal of Honor is following the same path then? Should MOH be banned?

A glitch has recently been discovered in Modern Warfare 2 which is frustrating for Xbox Live Arcade developers, this is because it unlocks content, which gamers should have to pay for.

The glitch can accidently unlock full versions of five SNK Playmore games on Xbox Live Arcade, these games are as follows Garou Mark of the Wolves, King of Fighters ’98 Ultimate Match, Metal Slug 3, Metal Slug XX and Samurai Shodown II.

To work you must have the demo of the game you want to unlock installed, then simply launch the demo whilst Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is loaded, this will start the full game, if however you start any of the games from the usual dashboard only the demo will launch

It is almost certain that the bug will be patched up soon. If you have been lucky enough to have had this happen to you we would like to hear from you.

If you have played Modern Warfare 2 as much as me you may have been frustrated with the game’s map rotation, however we are now hearing that things have changed.

Apparently both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions have been patched, which should mean that when playing online you should get more of a variety of maps in a session, I must admit I have questioned the map rotation previously after playing a certain map a few times in a dozen or so games.

This news was revealed by Infinityward’s Robert Dowling aka FourZeroTwo, under an hour ago he tweeted “The map rotation is now evened out on Xbox 360 and @playstation for Modern Warfare 2. Plus, CTF and Hardcore Moshpit playlists added on PS3″.

As you can see FourZeroTwo also revealed that PS3 gamers can also experience Capture The Flag and Hardcore Moshpit as they have been added to the multiplayer playlist.

Have you noticed an improvement since the change?
