As Robert Purchese over on the eurogamer.net website recently noted, the update will literally change just about everything in the game. Not only will combat become more tactical and spells be redesigned, but the world and the monsters and dungeons within it will also be reworked. Advancement will also be done faster if a character is specializing on one role.

The major overhaul will also bring a brand new user interface, as well as new lighting, a new map tool and new visual effects. Darkfall’s crafting system will be receiving an overhaul for version 2.0, bringing with it more customization options. Gems will also be a lot more important in the upcoming Darkfall 2.0 update, since they will be used in enchanting.

Aventurine SA has also made some major improvements to Darkfall’s new player experience, including training quests for all basic aspects of the MMO game. The upcoming update also includes a new environmental audio system, as well as new area-based music and a number of replacements and additions to the game’s existing sounds.

As mentioned above, both the skill and attribute gains have changed a considerable amount. If a new player concentrates on just a single role, they will excel at that specific role in a relatively short amount of time through casual play. More roles and more options will then become available for them. However, players are able to use one specialization at a time.

Dungeons will now feature dynamic elements such as one-way doors, traps and moving objects. Not only have all the loot tables been redone from scratch, all of the item properties, calculation formulas and numeric values have also been completely refurbished. As John Callaham from neowin.net reports, ArmA 2: Free is a standalone game that is due to be released for the PC later this month. The great thing about the upcoming game is the fact that it will be completely free, with no premium services or micro-transactions in sight.

The ArmA 2: Free title will provide gamers with access to the game’s full multiplayer content including support for up to fifty online players or plenty of AI opponents and its massive maps, as well as access to more than 300 different items, vehicles and weapons found within the game.

Players will also have access to free dedicated servers for both the Linux and Windows operating systems and the mission editor, which will enable gamers to create their own missions. What players don’t get however is a single player campaign, access to the game’s HD graphics options, or user-created ArmA 2 mods.

According to Fred Dutton over at eurogamer.net, there are 2 different ways to get involved in Gas Powered Games’ upcoming free-to-play game. Firstly you could jump right into it via the game’s website, which enables you to purchase extra content if and when you want it.

There is around 40 hours of gameplay available without having to fork out any money. However, you also have the option of purchasing the retail version for your equivalent of $19.99. The retail version comes with a number of extras including a limited edition poster and Advisor cards.

It also gives you the Premium Greek Civilization, which unlocks Advisors to enhance your civilization, the Player vs. Player Arena, the power or Rare and Epic items and more, Windy’s Wild Widgets Store, a Hotkey reference card and instructions on how to download the game.

The developer has also got a number of premium content packs planned. The first will provide freemium players with access to all the extras that are included in the retail version for exactly the same price. You can read more about future packs via eurogamer.net.

According to a recent article by Fred Dutton over at eurogamer.com, the game – titled Age of Conan: Unrated – is scheduled to arrive sometime this summer. Executive producer Craig Morrison said that the move is intended to capitalize on a potential increase in interest following the upcoming Conan film.

Those who choose the free-to-play Age of Conan: Unrated game will still be able to reach level 80 without having to fork out any money, but they do have to pay for extra items – such as scrolls, new pets, mounts, bags, premium location passes and potions – and expansions.

Existing Age of Conan subscribers will now be called premium members, and will continue to enjoy exactly the same benefits as they currently do. Premium and free-to-play gamers won’t be segregated into separate servers either, and will all be able to play together.

The re-launch will also add 2 new solo story-based dungeons called The Forgotten City and The Breach, which scale to a player’s level between levels 40 and 80. Have you ever played the Age of Conan game before? If not, will you be giving the free-to-play Age of Conan: Unrated a go?

As Josh Lumley over on the finallevel.co.uk website notes, the Zombie toys will use their unique abilities to hunt toys that are uninfected. However, uninfected toys will not be left defenseless, as a selection of special weapons will help them wage war against the undead hordes.

Weapons will appear in drop boxes randomly throughout the match, so players will have to make sure they get to the weapon drop boxes first. Two of the most powerful weapons that will become available in the Zombie Infestation mode are the ‘Blizzard’ and the ‘Firestorm.’

There will be a number of Zombie themed events coming at some point later this month, to celebrate the recent release of the new zombie play mode. These events will give players a chance to show off their skills by overrunning the uninfected toys, or leading the uninfected to victory.

According to a recent article by Matthew Reynolds over on the digitalspy.co.uk website, Robert Nashak – BBC Online’s EVP of digital entertainment – said that the new Doctor Who: Worlds in Time game will invite players to save the universe, by solving “pulse pounding” challenges and “time-bending” puzzles.

As David M. Ewalt from forbes.com recently reported, the game will be Flash-based, and won’t require a download. The BBC stated that the game is being designed with social play in mind, enabling gamers to connect and play together in smaller or bigger groups, with appropriate challenges for each.

The Doctor Who franchise has been around for 47 years now, and has seen a total of 770 episodes and 11 different lead actors playing the Doctor. The TV series has won over 65 awards, and holds the Guinness World Record for the Most Successful Sci-Fi show of all time.
