Back in February we announced a new swimming game for the Xbox 360 Kinect called Michael Phelps: Push the Limit, which as we previously mentioned is due to arrive sometime in June. We couldn’t bring you many details for the upcoming game at the time, as not many had been revealed.

That is all about to change however, as according to Raluca over at 123kinect.com, new information including the box art, features and screens have now been revealed. The game will not only test players’ swimming skills, but also push them to their limits in order to beat Michael Phelps.

The Olympic medalist spoke about the upcoming game to the Daily Press recently, and said that he hopes it will get people off of their couches and into the pool. Players will be guided step by step by Michael Phelps himself, as they embark on the journey from unknown to a legend.

Michael Phelps: Push the limit enables you to customize your character, and then watch their physical shape change the more you race. Players will be able to compete in backstroke, freestyle, breaststroke and butterfly races, over both short and long distances.

The game also features stand out water effects, a Career mode, Xbox Live Leaderboard so you can compare your times against other players from all over the world and breathtaking locations such as the inside of a New York skyscraper, a Japanese Dojo and an icy mountain range.

Would you buy the Michael Phelps: Push the Limit game?

The game we are talking about is Michael Phelps: Push the Limit, which is due to arrive sometime in June.

The game will use the Xbox 360 peripheral to capture the player’s movements for a number of different swimming strokes and competitions. Michael Phelps: Push the Limit will feature a full career mode, which takes players across various locations including a Japanese dojo.
