I tried to persuade her that this was a bad idea for two reasons; she never plays the games she has, and the fact that the game in question is poor.

I have not played the game for myself, but after reading a recent post of ours, its seems that this game might just be for MJ fans. Alan Ng reported that IGN only gave it 3.5/10 – now that’s shocking. We thought we would have a look at a few more reviews just to see if this was the consensus.

PC World has been more forgiving with the game, giving it four out of five stars. They loved the Michael Jackson choreography, and the fact that it was Ubisoft’s best dance game yet. However, what seems to let the game down is only having 26 tracks. Read the full review here.

Destructoid on the other hand seems to agree with IGN, having given the game just 5 out of 10. They seem to think that the game could have been so much more, saying that the Beatles: Rock Band, went out of their way to offer great content. Get the complete review here.

Eurogamer has also been generous with their review of Michael Jackson: The Experience, giving the game a 7 out of 10. They believe that Ubisoft could have given us more content, but at least it is still fun. Visit Eurogamer for the full review.

As reported from Nintendo-Universe, we can confirm that there will be a total of 26 songs in the game, and they include many of his hits from Jackson’s Thriller, Bad, Dangerous, Off the Wall and HIStory albums.

All your favorite Jacko tracks will be there, including some surprising choices as well, such as Streetwalker, Sunset Driver, Money and Speed Demon.

The game is due out on Tuesday November 23rd for the Nintendo Wii, but will also be releasing on the Xbox 360 and PS3 with Kinect and Move support sometime in 2011. Below is the full song list for the game, let us know if you’ll be picking this up or not.

If you grab a Wii copy marked “day-one” on the day of release (November 23d) you will get a free white sequined glove, similar to the one Michael started wearing in the early 80s.

From what we can see the Kinect version of the game will not be offering the same free glove, perhaps the Kinect version will come with the iconic black fedora hat which he wore throughout his career.

The first was for John Lennon, which we recently discussed, and the other was for Michael Jackson. More than 100 items were sold at Macau, China, fetching over one million dollars.

Two of the memorabilia items between them fetched $425,000; these were a black crystal-studded glove along with an arm brace and a basketball signed by The King of Pop and basketball legend Michael Jordan. These went for $180,000 and $245,000 respectively.

Bidders from around the world attended the auction, which does not surprise us considering continued interest in the late great pop star.

Yahoo News reports that the Macau auction was not all about Michael Jackson though, other items from Bruce Lee and Madonna were also auctioned off; in total there were 435 pieces of memorabilia sold.

This has the potential to be the biggest MMO ever.

‘Planet Michael’ is the title and the game is being officially supported by the Michael Jackson Estate and will be developed by SEE Virtual Worlds. The official press release has stated that the game will be due out towards the latter part of 2011, with PC the only platform mentioned so far.

Planet Michael has been described as an ‘innovative virtual reality universe’ which will allow you to interact with other gamers on environments which are connected to Michael Jackson’s life as an artist and humanitarian.

The game will be free to download, but will make use of an in-game monetization scheme which will allow players to purchase and unlock extra features within the game.

Sounds interesting doesnt it? If you ask me, this game has the potential to be the biggest MMO game ever. World of Warcraft obviously is the king, but come on, this is a Michael Jackson MMO! Forget about that silly Michael Jackson dancing game, Planet Michael could become something very special in the online gaming world, if the developers do a good job of course.

What are your thoughts on this? You’ve been dying for a decent MJ game since Moonwalker, so I’m sure there are a lot of you happy with the news. Ignore about the dodgy stuff he’s done in the past, this is all about the music!

Today Ubisoft have added three new tracks to the list of songs which will be available in the game.

The latest tracks to be added were Black or White, Smooth Criminal, and They Don’t Care About Us. These new tracks will be making their debut at the Tokyo Game Show, which is taking place until the 19th of September. The Wii version of the game will be playable at the show.

The full list of tracks confirmed so far includes; Bad, Beat It, Billie Jean, Black or White, Earth Song, Smooth Criminal, The Girl Is Mine, They Don’t Care About Us, Who Is It, Workin’ Day And Night. The version for the Nintendo Wii and the PSP will be available on November 23 in North America and in Europe, Middle East and Asia on November 25. Xbox 360 and PS3 owners will have to wait until early 2011.

If you were, you are in for a disappointment, as we can confirm that Michael Jackson: The Experience has been delayed into 2011.

As reported from VG247, the game was originally due out on the mentioned consoles on November 25th, but Ubisoft has explained that they needed more development time to implement Move and Kinect support properly.

Here is the statement in full from the developer: “We’re giving our teams more time to develop the Kinect and Move versions to ensure we deliver awesome experiences that take full advantage of the new technologies.”

There is some good news though. While the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions have been delayed till early 2011, the game is still due out on other platforms, i.e the Wii, DS and PSP versions of the game.

Let us know your thoughts on this delay. You can’t blame Ubisoft for wanting to ensure the game isn’t rushed out can you?

However, what if you could combine the biggest selling music artist with one of the best games consoles, the PS3.

According to SCRAWL, Sony are set to release a Michael Jackson PlayStation 3 bundle that comes complete with a free copy of “This Is It” on Blu-ray. The PS3 bundle is only available to those in Japan and will cost ¥33,500 (£226). This is for a 120GB PlayStation 3 in black, Dualshock 3 and that free Blu-ray.

The bundle will be launched on January 27; this is the same day that the Blu-ray disc of “This is it” gets released. The disc comes complete with some never before seen footage from Thriller.

The disc contains over a hundred hours of behind the scenes footage of Jackson preparing for his “This Is It” tour, where you can see him sing a number of his classic songs. We are not certain if the Michael Jackson PS3 bundle will be released in other countries.

Let us hope that Sony and the Jackson estate will come up with a deal to release Michale Jackson Singstar, would you buy it?
