Mercedes-Benz is adding to the accessory range for their new CLA, bringing the total selection to more than 170 high-quality items. The latest features and additions include multimedia systems, custom design options and extra storage packs.

Personalising your Mercedes-Benz has never been simpler – the brand is known for offering substantial options and the CLA is no exception. Design accessories are provided under the Mercedes-Benz Sport Equipment banner, encompassing door sill panels, custom-fit spoilers and new wheel styles. There are also items available from the AMG sport range, such as trademark body kits and lighter alloys.

For Mercedes drivers with an iPhone 4 or 4S, the Drive Kit Plus specifically for the handset makes it easier to connect with the car. Siri’s voice control can still be used, and the sat nav from Garmin includes real-time traffic information via the internet. Another navigation option is the Becker MAP PILOT upgrade for the audio system, which works through the CLA’s existing colour display. You can even connect it to your laptop via USB to keep it updated with the latest downloads.

When it comes to lifestyle products, there are even more personal items on offer. Drivers who choose the limited CLA Edition 1 can match the car’s yellow upholstery stitching with an identical nail varnish.

As you’d expect, every genuine Mercedes-Benz accessory for the CLA is designed to maintain the model’s high performance and safety. Each item goes through rigorous testing and development – and the manufacturer’s standards are far above the legal minimums.

The staff at the showroom will have a day of pink activities on October 28th, which is a Friday. They will all have to spend the day wearing pink clothing (which should be fun to see) and also all donate £2 towards the cause – although we expect that they will add a little extra. There will be a sale on, as well as offering customers the chance to win a Mercedes SLK for the weekend.

The number plate on the black SLK is very unique, as it says ‘breast’ which should turn a few heads. It’s no surprise that all the money raised from the raffle will go towards breast cancer research. There are not many causes that people become passionate about, but it is only because how it affects us all. It’s also nice to bring a fun element into the cause, as it will be fun to see car salesperson’s dressing up in pink – might be a little hard taking them seriously.

The new C-class Black Series is certainly no slouch as it can accelerate from standing to 62mph in only 4.2 seconds. This is achieved by the 6.3 liter V8 engine which has 457lb ft of torque, which according to Chris Knapman of The Telegraph is 5lb ft more than the standard C63 coupe.

The engine achieves this extra power via a remapped engine management system. It also has forged pistons, connecting rods and crankshaft which are normally found on the SLS AMG, and a fifty percent increase in oil cooler size. The new AMG is limited to a maximum speed of 186mph via the electronics of the car, so should be fast enough for most people.

To keep the car glued to the road it uses coil over suspension and it has a wider track than the standard C-class Coupe. Speed sensitive sports steering, and a limited-slip differential add to the improvements made by AMG. The transmission is a seven speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch that has a paddle shift mounted on the steering wheel.

Bringing the new AMG to a halt is achieved by the larger brakes which feature six-piston calipers on the front. Interior wise there is a pair of bucket seats in the front, and in the back the rear seats have been removed to save weight. But if you really do want to carry passengers in the back customers can have the car as a full four seater.

Customers have the choice of a couple of other upgrades which include the AMG Track Package. This features Dunlop tires more suited to the track and a cooler for the rear differential. There is also the Aerodynamics Package that has a selection of carbon fiber parts.

CEO of Mercedes AMG said “The new C63 AMG Coupé Black Series is the best proof there is for the permanent transfer of technology from the race track to the road”. The new C63 AMG Coupé Black Series will be available sometime next year for around $90,000/£110,000.

Now we are not saying that all women are shallow, but there are still those out there who see a guy in a big sports car and love it. However, more classy women look out for luxury brands. Having said that, men do the same. If they see a guy in a certain car they will be thinking all kinds of things, and most of them are not appropriate to post on this website.

The person who offers the most honest view about what car you drive is Jeremy Clarkson; again he has some very strange views. Drivers who have a Mercedes-Benz means that you wish to tell people that you are proud and can afford things like this. However, this is not always the case, I own one and I am not a proud person at all.

Noah Joseph over at Autoblog is reporting that the new supercar has lost the gullwing doors of the coupe version. The experts at Mercedes have made the body stiffer and fitted normal doors, but managed to add only 88lbs in the process. The new roof can be raised or put away in only eleven seconds, and at speeds up to 31 mph. It is also available in beige, black and red.

The car has been limited to a top speed of 197 mph, and can manage to reach 60mph in 3.7 seconds. Other new features include new AMG Drive Unit, electronically adjusted Adaptive AMG Sport Suspension, and AMG Performance Media system that displays and tracks the cars telemetrics.

It will be making an appearance at the Frankfurt Motor Show this fall which should coincide with deliveries beginning in the US. Pricing has yet to be revealed.

This Sedan is the world’s first production hybrid vehicle to use a lithium-ion battery, apparently it offers S-Class performance and luxury whilst delivering “extraordinary” fuel efficiency, also we can confirm that this has not resulted in less trunk space.

The S400 Hybrid features a 3.5-liter V-6 engine and an electric motor, combined this creates 295 horsepower, also there is 7-speed automatic transmission with Touch Shift. It is capable of 0-60MPH in 7.2 seconds and delivers 19 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on highways.

Famous actors/actresses who have backed the S400 Hybrid include Gerard Butler, Tobey Maguire and Demi Moore, also Natalie Portman recently said “It’s good that there are now vehicles with alternative fuel options, from clean diesel, hybrid and even hydrogen, that are becoming more widely available”.

As Engadget report this electric powered, compact roadster can go for as far as 84 miles from one charge and reaches speeds of up to 75 mph. It even has luxurious interior that includes smartphone docking area.

The zero-emission prototype also offers a 7 bhp overboost function in addition to its 40 bhp electric motor that is rear-mounted and a lithium-ion battery with a 16.5 kWh capacity which can quick charge in 45 minutes. It even has integrated solar cells powering the electrics. Mercedes-Benz’s Steffen Kohl said the car as a ‘unique and electric look’ thanks to its minimalistic design and high-gloss finish.

Unfortunately Mercedes have already made it clear that this smartly designed Smart Forspeed is just a concept and will not make the production line, saying that only parts of the design will feature in future developments. Autoblog was sent a press release giving them all the facts and figures, but the one detail missing was the price. Let us not complain though, as it will take some time to digest all the information that has been given to us by Mercedes. This new sedan is expected to hit 60 in 4.3 seconds and has been limited to 155mph. However, that AMG performance package mentioned above will increase that top speed to 174mph.

There are a few key design differences from the current to the 2012 version, such as a new front grille and a lower apron. However, it is inside where you will see the biggest changes, that newly designed dash and LCD screen will certainly give the competition a run for their money.

Although there was no price on the press release, we have learned from Car and SUV that the new sedan will cost €71,340 in Germany; not sure how much that will be in the UK or the U.S.

No doubt more details on this and other aspects of the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG will be offered during the Geneva Motor Show, which is when the car will get its official debut.

You have to love how Autoblog’s Jeremy Korzeniewski describes the front-end of the Huayra, by saying that it is like a “bottom-feeder”, and we do have to agree there – not that it’s a bad thing. It is some of the other design features that help to take some of the attention away from the front, such as the numerous slates and the gullwing doors, which have also been put to good use on the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.

Some of you will think that all those little aero tweaks make the vehicle look awesome, but they also help to keep the car planted to the road when traveling fast or taking those corners. When we say fast, we mean fast – 230mph to be exact.

The power comes from a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine, which has been produced by Mercedes-Benz AMG. I can remember getting excited when I got my first five-speed transmission, so imagine how I would feel if I had a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox like the Pagani Huayra will have?

Jamie Corstorphine from InsideLine has been at a recent promo video shoot for the new supercar, and notes that this is “more than just an evolution of the Zonda”, and we would have to agree. We have no official price yet, but Corstorphine believes that it will be around the $1.4 million mark.
