This hyper-car will only be available to the select few at that price with a host of optional extras to choose from pushing the cost up even more.

Priyadarshan Bawikar over at Zigwheels.com is reporting that AMG, Mercedes own in- house tuning firm developed and designed the car as the successor to the McLaren-Mercedes SLR. The AMG brings back the spirit of the original 300SL Gullwing from 1954 with the iconic doors and wide radiator grille with large Mercedes-Benz star.

The AMG has a lovely 6.3 litre V8 under the hood producing a powerful 571 PS of power, with 650Nm of torque. All this power is transferred to the rear mounted 7-speed dual clutch transaxle, which can launch the car from standstill to 100km/h in an amazing 3.8 seconds. With a top speed of 315km/h the car is certainly no slow coach.

This is exactly the case when it comes to the stunning looking Mercedes-Benz SLS.

You may remember a few days ago we reported on Mercedes own modified version the SLS E-Cell, this is the prototype driven by four electric motors to produce 526 horsepower. However with the E-Cell and the rumoured “Black Edition” in the pipeline for 2013, tuning company Kicherer decided to create its own “Black”.

First off lets get to the important stuff, Kicherer have added a new more free flowing exhaust system and flashed the big Merc’s ECU to pump the power up to 620 hp. Along with the output boost the SLS has been treated to new adjustable suspension, so the fast car just got faster.

To keep with the “Black Edition” theme the bodywork has been given a coat of matte black, the badges have been blacked out, as to the grille and wheels. A new lip spoiler has been added and a little tweaking to the rear bumper, but all in all a very “Black” car. According to a report from Autoblog Kicherer’s website is yet to show any price tags but I am sure if your looking for a modified SLS then price isn’t really an problem.
