The recalls are in the United States, Canada, and ten other countries because the medications failed to meet quality standards.

Over –the-counter liquid medicines under the brand names Benadryl, Motrin, Zyrtec, Tylenol and Tylenol Plus are affected. In Canada the recall is limited to Children’s Tylenol Cough & Runny Nose liquid suspension, Children’s Motrin and infants Motrin liquid suspension.

The recall is not yet on the FDA website, but no adverse health issues have been reported so far. The medicines have been recalled because they might contain more of an active ingredient than is specified, or may be tainted by particles.
