The GTA V debut trailer went live earlier today. Most of our readers will have been prepared as Alan Ng gave us the heads up of the exact time when Rockstar intended on releasing it in a previous article. For those that did not get the heads up and missed the moment it became available for viewing, you can check out the trailer in the article by Jamie Pert, who has analyzed it and is asking for your thoughts.

The four new Max Payne 3 screenshots give us a glimpse of what to expect from the game when it releases in March next year. We previously brought you two screenshots from the game back in April which showed some satisfactory graphics although it was unclear what platform they were from. We also previously brought you brought you news of the new multiplayer mode which had not featured in any of the previous titles, giving the game the potential to be continuously played even after the campaign is complete.

Details about some of the game’s new gameplay has also emerged such as enemies reacting to wounds uniquely depending on what their injury is and the return of Bullet Time which also sees changes with the way Max reacts to the environments during it. News that a new Max Payne movie is on the way has also been suggested. Check out the screenshots for yourself over at God Is A Geek. Now Rockstar have released 12 new images from the game (all of which can be seen here) and have created a website dedicated to the game which we think finalizes the argument about a release coming soon. The images tease about possible plots and features in the game which may build a picture of the gameplay.

It is possible that the gamer in this title will be able to use blind-firing round corners, fire from the floor and dive through the air while shooting if the pictures are to reflect the gameplay. Even if the pictures are even for promotional purposes and do not tell us what can be done in the game, they are still enough to cause excitement about this title.

It has been 8 years since the release of the last game Max Payne 2 after being recieved pretty well by the critics so it is nice to see another title being announced to follow-up the two games previously. The game was originally meant to arrive in 2009, however has been held back for ‘development time’. We are taking these screenshots as a sign towards the game’s release being finalized and more information coming soon we hope from Rockstar.

The giant game developer most notable for the creation of the Grand Theft Auto series and their most recent project L.A Noire, have said they have started a new chapter in Max’s life. “This is Max as we’ve never seen him before, a few years older, more world-weary and cynical than ever.” one Rockstar representative has said.

Fans of the old titles should definitely still be excited to hear more from this latest title as we imagine it will build on the solid foundations set by previous Max Payne video games, perhaps we will we hear more in the coming months or see the game in action at E3 2011.

Now no one can argue that Wahlberg has that special something when it comes to playing a tough guy, but I do fear that he could put the kiss of death on the movie adaption, as he did with the May Payne movie. The sad fact is, it promised to be a great movie, but the critics hated it, and I have to say – was not one of mark’s best.

There is always a risk when games are adapted for the big screen, I have a hard job thinking of any that have been successful, you only have to think Street Fighter and Mortal Combat – try as I might, I just cannot get those poorly acted and scripted movies out of my head.

According to Jason Schreier from Wired, shooting is to start next year and will have the talents of David O. Russell directing. There is rumored to big two big gangster type actors in the movie, Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro. I cannot wait to see what De Niro does best, as he has let the hard-man character slip of late – we all know what movies I am on about.
